With rising gas prices and our oil supplies under foreign control, the time has come for the US to search and develop domestic sources for oil and gas.

With over 249,089 signatures already, this petition to Congress is gaining momentum. But it still has a long way to go. We need many more to sign this petition and demand that the Congress get off their duffs and actually work for the American People. It is time to finally ignore the fluff bunnies of the environmental movement who scream every time a request is made to explore or drill for oil and gas in the US. It is time that we become energy self-sufficient.

The petition is very simple:

We, therefore, the undersigned citizens of the United States, petition the U.S. Congress to act immediately to lower gasoline prices by authorizing the exploration of proven energy reserves to reduce our dependence on foreign energy sources from unstable countries.

Lower gasoline prices would boost the economy faster than any other proposal.







Call your Congressman, Call your Senator, tell them not pass the Warner/Lieberman bill that will raise gas prices and harm the economy and the American family. Tell them that you want them to pass the DRILL HERE, DRILL NOW initiative that will lower gas prices and finally eliminate our need for foreign oil. Do it today, don't wait. This is too important to ignore.
