New Kangaroo Court For Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani

Please keep this man in your prayers.  Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, jailed for being a Christian and preaching Christianity in Iran has been tried and sentenced to Death.  Yet pressure from the world has forced the Iranians to give him another Show Trial in their Kangaroo Courts.

A new court date has been set for Youcef Nadarkhani, the Iranian pastor on death row who has been imprisoned for nearly 1,000 days, but his supporters remain in the dark about what it could mean for his ultimate fate, FoxNews.com has learned.

Nadarkhani, 35, is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 8, according to Jordan Sekulow, executive Director of the American Center for Law and Justice, which has been closely monitoring the case.

“We do not know the purpose of the appearance or the likelihood of new charges,” Sekulow told FoxNews.com. “We want to dispel any rumors that his current apostasy charge, for which he was sentenced to death, has been removed. Until the regime unconditionally exonerates and releases Pastor Youcef, his apostasy charge stands.”

The length of Nadarkhani’s imprisonment will reach 1,000 days on Sunday, said Sekulow, who remains hopeful that growing international attention will lead to his unconditional release.

“Our global support to free Pastor Youcef continues to grow,” he said. “Our Tweet for Youcef campaign now reaches more than 2.5 million people a day in more than 220 counties and territories."

Nadarkhani, a pastor in a network of house churches, has been jailed since being arrested on Oct. 13, 2009, after he went to his son’s school to complain about them starting mandatory Koran classes. He was then charged with apostasy from Islam. He was found guilty by the Iranian Supreme Court and sentenced to death in 2010 and has been imprisoned ever since.

Present Truth Ministries, a Minnesota-based organization, said in a statement Thursday that Nadarkhani will likely be tried for crimes against security in September.

“Our sources in Iran have informed us that Youcef has been officially notified of a new trial for crimes against national security in September,” the ministry said. “We assume by implication that this means the charges of apostasy have been dropped since the new charges have been issued, but we have no confirmation of that.”

In May, Nadarkhani thanked his supporters in a letter released by Washington-based human rights group American Center for Law and Justice.

“First, I would like to inform all of my beloved brothers and sisters that I am in perfect health in the flesh and spirit,” the letter read. “From time to time I am informed about the news, which is spreading in the media, about my current situation … or campaigns and human rights activities which are going on against the charges which are applied to me.”

An apostate, according to Islamic Sharia law, has three days to recant. Nadarkhani has refused to do so and sources close to the matter say executions in Iran can happen at any time, often without notice. The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution earlier this year condemning his imprisonment and calling for his immediate release.

The Iranian government has already convicted Pastor Nadarkhani of treason, opposing Islam, preaching Christianity, operating a brothel, and whatever else these brain-dead idiots can think of.

The truth is that Pastor Nadarkhani is guilty of leaving Islam, becoming a Christian, and preaching Christianity.  All that are crimes holding the death penalty in Iran.  One cannot be any faith other than Muslim or one will be killed.

Youcef Nadarkhani is guilty of believing that Islam is based on lies and that he has chosen a different faith.  That is all.  Not a crime in a civilized nation, but who ever said that any Muslim nation is civilized?

First The Pastor, Now The Lawyer

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is under arrest and under a sentence of death due to his belief in Christianity and not Islam.  Now his attorney Mohammad Ali Dadkhah has been sentenced to 9 years in prison.

Prominent human rights advocate and attorney Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, who represents the Christian pastor sentenced to death in Iran in a case that sparked international condemnation, has reportedly been sentenced to nine years in jail for allegedly "acting against national security" in Iran.

Dadkhah has represented several political and human rights activists jailed since Iran's 2009 disputed elections, including Youcef Nadarkhani, the Iranian pastor charged with apostasy and sentenced to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity.

"I have been convicted of acting against the national security, spreading propaganda against the regime and keeping banned books at home," Dadkhah told the Guardian. Dadkhah has also reportedly been banned from teaching at universities or practicing law for 10 years.

The American Center for Law and Justice, or ACLJ, which has been working to secure the release of Nadarkhani, fears the decision to jail Dadkhah puts the Christian pastor at greater risk.

"The news that this renowned human rights attorney has been sentenced to prison by Iranian officials is very troubling," said Jordan Sekulow, executive director of the ACLJ. "With his attorney facing nine years in prison, and no other lawyer likely to take the case, Pastor Youcef has no legal advocate, which places him at greater risk."

Dadkhah was reportedly in court defending one of his clients when the judge announced his own nine-year sentence. He is expected to be jailed soon.

Dadkhah was also the attorney for 12 Christians who stood trial on Easter Sunday in Iran.

The Iranians have not been able to make Pastor Nadarkhani recant and return to Islam.  In fact his faith has gotten stronger.  Nor have the 12 other Christians recanted.  And although the Green Revolution is hidden, it is not dead.  The only resource that the Mullahs of Iran now have is either imprisonment and/or death.  For they cannot truly control their people, or their minds.
