Hollow Points In The News Again: Congress Wants Answers

So much has been written about this. I believe the only bottom line come we have a change to get down to, is why hollow points, because the government is ignoring Congressional inquiries about quantities. Are hollow points used for target practice? A former Marine says no.  A former Army Major says 'no.' Here's the thing, hollow points are safer for everyone but the bad guy you're aiming at. A hollow point will not exit your target and hit the person behind him/her. Here's the other thing, hollow points are twice as expensive as the full metal bullet. So why would they be used for target practice, especially when the taxpayer is paying for it, and practicing with either...aiming with either, doesn't impact for accuracy of the person 'practicing?' Remember Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was slain armed with a bean bag in his gun...shot down cold by a Mexican illegal(s) with a U.S. government provided weapon.

Hollow Points

As every gun owner knows if they are serious about developing and maintaining their shooting skills, the type of bullets used for practice at the firing range are normally different from the ammunition one would use when getting the firearm set to be used in the event of a home invasion or other situations in which one's life is in mortal danger. 

Firing range bullets are much less expensive and are not designed for the day to day use of the gun for maximum self protection. One uses the more expensive variety, such as hollow point bullets, for real-life danger. 

Thus, immediately this reporter knew that when the government claimed that its agencies had purchased multimillions of rounds of hollow point bullets for "practice and training" at the firing range, something was amiss. Most citizens are likely unaware that such ammo is not used for practice and will accept the government's explanation at face value. This is in all likelihood what the Feds are counting on. 

And when Maj. Gen. Curry [Army Ret] confirmed these suspicions in his article for The Daily Caller, it became clear that the Obama Administration has not been honest with the public concerning the current mass stockpiling of ammunition. The Examiner

In February 2013, radio talk show host, who isn't 'just' a radio talk show host; he is a Constitutional attorney and former chief of staff to President Ronald Reagan’s Attorney General, Ed Meese. Levin estimates in a ten month period, our government purchased enough ammo to supply our military at the peak of the Iraq war for - 24 years!  All this ammo - the Department of Homeland Security says it's for target practice.

A government spokeswoman says the 1.6 billion bullet contracts is known as "strategic sourcing contracts." It helps save money, she says...and they are mostly for training centers...but why hollow points for training? They cost more.

Then there's the 2700 light-armored tanks order for the U.S. Maybe it's an epidemic. Maybe Homeland Security is "granting" light armor for very blue cities?

"We're going to have our own tank." 

That's what Keene, N.H., Mayor Kendall Lane whispered to Councilman Mitch Greenwald during a December city council meeting. 

It's not quite a tank. But the quaint town of 23,000 -- scene of just two murders since 1999 -- had just accepted a $285,933 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to purchase a Bearcat, an eight-ton armored personnel vehicle made by Lenco Industries Inc.

The IBD article says 15 members of Congress want to know what's up with billions of bullets on order. They've been told their concerns are "unfounded."

Why Does DHS Need Tanks?

Not the type of tanks that store oil, gas, or other liquids.  But the type of tanks that are used in battle.  That is the latest that I have found from my dear friend a12iggymom.

This is getting a little creepy.

According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm.

DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).

The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.

The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company).

First the government buys billions of rounds of ammunition.  Now light tanks suitable for urban warfare.  Who the hell does Barack Hussein Obama believes he is going to be attacking?  Zombies?  It is beginning to look as if this government regime is preparing for a war with its own people.  And I might not be far from the truth if the Democrats take back the House in 2014.

Warning Shots Will NOT Be Fired!

For months reports of massive amounts of ammunition has been bought by various US Government agencies.  These agencies try to assure the American People that this is just standard practice and nothing is being planned toward citizens.  But now the US Department of Homeland Security has just bought 1.2 billion bullets for counterterrorist snipers.

U.S. Homeland Security is preparing for an all-out “American Spring” rebellion and has bought 1.2 billion bullets for counterterrorist snipers.

An additional 200 million bullets are to be purchased, according to Infowars.com writer and author Paul Joseph Watson.

The new purchase is for .223 rifle ammunition, plus another 176,000 rounds of .308 caliber 168 grain hollow point boat tail (HPBT) rounds in addition to 25,000 rounds of blank .308 caliber bullets.

“It is the type of ammunition and not necessarily the quantity that is troubling,” James Smith Prepper Podcast was quoted as saying.

“All of the sniper grade ammunition is being used by trained, or in-the-process-of-being-trained snipers,” wrote Smith. Adding up the number of lethal bullets tallies a potential 135,384 kills for the snipers, based on U.S. Army and Marine figures from the Vietnam War, when soldiers used 1.3 rounds of ammunition for each verified kill.

Homeland Security’s purchases of the huge arsenal “is both worrying and ironic given that Americans are being harassed and treated with suspicion for buying a couple of boxes of ammo at their local gun store,” Watson wrote.

Government officials have refused to comment.

Nearly half a billion rounds of ammunition purchased last March expand on entry into a body to cause maximum wounds. The large number of bullets raises questions if such large quantities are needed only for training.

In addition, 750 million bullets can penetrate walls.

The Homeland Security purchases are in addition to a controversial 174,000 bullets purchased by the Social Security Administration and reported by mainstream media, which has largely overlooked Homeland Security’s huge arsenal or has considered it a result of paranoia.

However, the U.S. Army has been preparing for rebellion in the streets, and a Military Police training manual, entitled “Civil Disturbance Operations” describes how to suppress riots and kill civilians when confronting “dissidents." The manual states, “Warning shots will not be fired,” Watson reported.

Who are these guys kidding?  It is very clear that Barack Hussein Obama and the members of his regime are preparing for Civil War.  If Romney were to lose, his supporters would NOT take to the streets and riot.  Obama supporters showed their displeasure by rioting and looting.  But would Obama turn on his supporters?  I don't think so.

No I do believe that Barack Hussein Obama will do anything to remain in power, including staging a coup d'etat.  Nor when he is defeated on November 6th will he quietly leave office.

There is one burning question in all this:

Once the officers give orders to open fire on American Citizens, will the troops follow the order or turn on their officers?  I do believe they will NOT fire on Americans.

Why Does Social Security Need 174,000 Rounds Of Ammunition?

First it was a mega-order of bullets from Homeland Security, then The National Weather Service ordered 74,000 Hollow Point Bullets and now Social Security is buying 174,000 rounds of bullets.  The question is why?

First it was the Department of Homeland Security, then it was the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and now the Social Security Administration is set to purchase 174,000 rounds of hollow point bullets that will be delivered to 41 locations across the country.

A solicitation posted by the SSA on the FedBizOpps website asks for contractors to supply 174,000 rounds of “.357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow point pistol ammunition.”>

An online ammunition retailer describes the bullets as suitable “for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing handloads in many guns,” noting that the ammo is “a great personal defense bullet.”

The synopsis to the solicitation adds that the ammunition is to be shipped to 41 locations within 60 days of purchase. A separate spreadsheet lists those locations, which include the Social Security headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland as well as major cities across the country including Los Angeles, Detroit, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Seattle.

Hollow point bullets are designed to expand as they enter the body, causing maximum damage by tearing apart internal organs.

It’s not outlandish to suggest that the Social Security Administration is purchasing the bullets as part of preparations for civil unrest. Social security welfare is estimated to keep around 40 percent of senior citizens out of poverty. Should the tap run dry in the aftermath of an economic collapse which the Federal Reserve has already told top banks to prepare for, domestic disorder could ensue if people are refused their benefits.

Indeed, earlier this year the Department of Homeland Security ran a drill called Operation Shield which included turning the entrance of a Florida Social Security office into a checkpoint manned by Federal Protective Service officers armed with semiautomatic rifles.

“With their blue and white SUVs circled around the Main Street office, at least one official was posted on the door with a semiautomatic rifle, randomly checking identifications. And other officers, some with K-9s, sifted through the building,” reported the Daily Commercial.

A rash of solicitations by federal agencies for hollow point bullets in recent months has stoked fears that the government is preparing for civil unrest caused by a financial collapse on a scale similar or even larger to scenes already witnessed in Europe over the last two years.

As we reported yesterday, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has put out a contract for 46,000 rounds of hollow point bullets along with 500 paper targets.

Despite initially asking the bullets to be delivered to the National Weather Service, NOAA claimed this was a “clerical error” and insisted the ammunition was being sent to the Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement. Why powerful hollow point bullets that are designed to tear apart internal organs are needed for practice shooting at paper targets has not been explained.

Back in March, Homeland Security purchased 450 million rounds of .40-caliber hollow point bullets that are designed to expand upon entry and cause maximum organ damage, prompting questions as to why the DHS needed such a large amount of powerful bullets merely for training purposes.

This was followed by another DHS solicitation asking for a further 750 million rounds of assorted bullets, including 357 mag rounds that are able to penetrate walls.

The DHS recently put out an order for riot gear in preparation for the upcoming DNC, RNC and presidential inauguration. The U.S. Army is also busy buying similar equipment.

The DHS also recently purchased a number of bullet-proof checkpoint booths that include ‘stop and go’ lights.

I actually believe that the Obama Regime actually expects to use these weapons on American citizens.  Innocent citizens protesting the actions of this regime.  The TEA Party scared the Obama Regime and the Democrats into this action.  Ordinary Americans took to the streets, protesting peacefully, leaving the area cleaner than they found it.  And then they took to the ballot box.  Voting in the candidates they wanted and throwing out many Democrats who supported the Obama Regime.  Now they are planning on doing the same to Obama.

Is all this Ammo buying in preparation for the day after the November 6th elections when President Barack Hussein Obama loses his re-election to Mitt Romney?  It could be.  If defeated will Obama willingly leave the luxury that he has come to know?  Or will he

try a coup d'etat and become Presidente for Life?

Weather Service Buys 46,000 Rounds Of Illegal Hollow Point Bullets: NOAA Needs Hollow Points?

In April 2012 we learned The Department of Homeland Security has been stocking up on many millions of rounds of ammunition of differing caliber bullets, and an unknown quantity of bullet-proof booths to use…on something or someone…somewhere. Today we learn the National Weather Service also needs bullets, hollow point bullets to be exact.

A solicitation which appears on the FedBizOpps website asks for 16,000 rounds of .40 S&W jacketed hollow point (JHP) bullets, noted for their strength, to be delivered to locations in Ellsworth, Maine, and New Bedford, Mass.

A further 6,000 rounds of S&W JHP will be sent to Wall, New Jersey, with another 24,000 rounds of the same bullets heading to the weather station in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The solicitation also asks for 500 paper targets to be delivered to the same locations in Maine, Massachusetts and New Jersey.

Don’t get confused about this. This new NOAA ammo order is in addition to the Homeland Security’s 450 MILLION rounds, and in case you missed it, in April the DHS also ordered an additional 750,000 rounds to add to the 450 MILLION. But back to the National Weather Service order:

An unknown number of bulletproof shelters were on order by DHS in April at the same time we learned of the 450 MILLION rounds. Then there was more:

We’ve also learned that the Department of Homeland Security has an open bid for a stockpile of rifle ammo…for up to 175 million rounds of .233 caliber. The 223 is almost exactly the same round used by NATO forces…

In April, Doug Ross did the math and it worked out like this: “That’s only two rounds for every man, woman and child in America, which hardly seems enough.” As usual, he was right.

We need someone in Congress explaining these purchases. We can’t believe anything from the Executive Branch. We need to know that Congress knows this is happening. Is it possible hollow point bullets are needed to launch into clouds to possibly produce rain for our drought-stricken country? No, I don’t think so either. Would Congress has a clue if our Government was arming itself against The People – or more specifically against TEA Party-types? I have visions of darker scenarios but…
