How Our Ally Remember 9/11

>While many of our allies remember the attacks of 9/11 with moments of silence, prayers, etc...  Our ally Egypt has a different way to remember that day:  Storming the US Embassy.

On the anniversary of the September 11 Al-Qaeda attacks on the U.S. that killed some 3,000 people in 2001, Egyptian rioters attempted to invade the U.S. Embassy in Cairo Tuesday, tearing down the American flag and burning it. At least 2,000 people stood at the foot of the walls surrounding the embassy as about 20 of the rioters scaled the walls. Rioters also drew anti-American graffiti on the wall and demanded that the United States end its presence in Egypt. U.S. soldiers prevented the rioters from entering the Embassy compound. Witnesses said that Egyptian police at the scene did little to stop the rioters' advance to the Embassy walls, which are usually cordoned off.

The object of the rioters' wrath was the rumor that a U.S. group was planning a movie that would depict the history of early Islam, and the plundering and war committed by Mohammed, the creator of Islam. A Reuters reporter on the scene was unable to ascertain which movie the rioters were targeting, but several web Arabic web sites referred to a U.S. site that claimed that a group in Florida was planning an “International Judge Mohammad Day,” with Mohammed being put on trial for his crimes, live over the Internet.

The U.S. condemned the rioting. In a statement, the Embassy said that “respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy,” and that it condemned the “misguided actions” of individuals who disrespected Islam. Last year, during the height of protests against former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, rioters invaded the Israeli embassy in Cairo, with several Embassy in mortal danger as rioters trashed the offices and threw furniture and equipment out windows. Seventy three Egyptians were convicted of rioting in that incident, but all received a suspended sentence.

I could say "Shades of Jimmy Carter", but that would be twisting the knife in the wound a few times.  But we have pledged billions of dollars in aid to Egypt and this is the reward for our generosity.  Perhaps a few well placed bombs (Aswan Dam?) to remind Egypt and the Muslim world what it means to anger the United States.  But that would take a President who does not bow or cater to the Islamists.

This riot was triggered by a rumor of a movie depicting Muhammad (MHBIH) as a war-mongering rapist (A documentary I do believe.), and a group in Florida who is planning an International Judge Mohammad Day.  Both are lies, but Islamists will post anything they want, true or untrue, to get the "people' worked up.

Now can anyone please explain to me how Egypt is our ally and why they deserve billions of our tax dollars?

Deja Vu?

The one difference this time is if the Muslim Brotherhood does take over Egypt, one of the first things they have announced they will do is to renege on the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, open up the border with Gaza and flood Gaza with military weapons (tanks, artillery, etc...).  I predict that the whole region will be at war by the end of the year, if not sooner.

Those of us outside of Texas don't know and never heard of Michael Williams. This is from his campaign website:

Michael Williams is a Commissioner on the Railroad Commission of Texas, which regulates the oil and gas industry. It is the state’s oldest regulatory agency. Elected statewide three times, he was elected to complete an unexpired term in November 2000. In November 2002 and 2008, they re-elected him to full six-year terms. He was initially appointed to the Commission by then-Governor George W. Bush in December 1998 to fill a vacant seat. Williams served as Chairman of the Commission from September 1999 to September 2003 and again from July 2007 to February 2009. He is the first African American in Texas history to hold an executive statewide elected post.

Williams serves as the Chairman of the Governor’s Competitiveness Council. He also chairs the Governor’s Clean Coal Technology Council, represents the Governor on the Southern States Energy Board and is a member of both the National Coal Council and the Interstate Compact Commission. Williams also serves as the Railroad Commission’s “point person” for the agency’s regulatory reform and technology modernization efforts.

The son of public school teachers who earned degrees in math and the husband of a mechanical engineer, Michael is the creator and co-sponsor of the “Winnovators,” a summer camp for 6th through 12th graders to inspire the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians.

An advocate of alternative energy, Williams is championing the conversion of Texas public and private fleets, especially school buses, from diesel and gasoline to environmentally cleaner, cheaper and domestically produced natural gas and propane through his “Breathe Easy” initiative.

A devout conservative, Michael helped get out the vote for Republicans as Chairman of Texas Victory 2004 and 2006, has served as Convention Chairman and Platform Committee Chairman at Republican Party of Texas’ State Conventions and was one of the original board members of the Texas Christian Coalition. He is also a life time member of the National Rifle Association.

He also had the pleasure to serve as an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University in the School of Public Affairs and Texas Wesleyan School of Law.

In 1990, President George H. W. Bush appointed Williams to be Assistant Secretary of Education for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education, a position previously held by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Former President Bush previously appointed Williams as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Law Enforcement at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He had policy oversight responsibility for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Customs Service, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. Williams also served in the Department of Justice as Special Assistant to Attorney General Richard Thornburgh.

Williams served as a prosecutor in the Department of Justice under President Ronald Reagan. In 1988, he was awarded the Attorney General’s “Special Achievement Award” for the conviction of six Ku Klux Klan members on stolen military weapons charges. Early in his career, he was an assistant district attorney in his hometown of Midland, Texas.

Williams is a proud alumnus of the University of Southern California where he holds a bachelor’s, a master’s and a law degree.

He is a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas. He and his best friend, Donna, celebrate 24 years of marriage.

Definitely not a man you can pin the term "Racist" on, but there are those who will try. He recently issued a statement condemning Jimmy Carter's use of that term. This is it:

“I have immense respect for President Carter, but I fundamentally disagree with the notion that opponents of President Obama’s immense spending proposals are motivated by race. As a black man from the South, I take exception to the notion that my opposition – or the opposition of millions of Americans to the president’s healthcare proposal – is rooted in racial politics. It is a sad day when genuine disagreement is smeared by such an incendiary characterization. I oppose the president’s plan because it will explode the deficit, allow further government intrusion into the doctor-patient relationship, and continue to insulate healthcare consumers from the true cost of their care.

“America has come a long way on the issue of race, so much so that we elected the first black president in the history of our country. The president’s supporters seem to want to denigrate the motives of the opposition so they don’t have to actually engage in a debate about reforms that will forever change the direction of this country.

“It is no coincidence as the liberals continue to lose public support for a budget-busting healthcare plan that they have begun a seemingly orchestrated effort to change the subject from the content of the reforms to the character of their opposition. From the former president of the United States, to the opinion pages of the New York Times, a new ugliness has permeated our discourse. I say to them that I can disagree with my president based on the politics of ideas rather than the politics of identity.

“Americans who have honest concerns about increasing government control of healthcare, and the overall direction of this nation, deserve answers instead of scorn, respect instead of reviling accusations of racism. If this president is going to change the tone in Washington, he better first change the tactics of his supporters.”

I wish he was running here in Illinois. I would welcome him as MY Senator. Alas, it is the people of Texas who just might have that privilege (lucky them).

I expect the left will start calling him an "Uncle Tom", just their way of stifling dissent in this country.

Playing The Race Card Georgia Style.

If he isn't attacking Jews Israelis, he attacks average, hard-working men and women. Jimmy Carter is at it again.

This time he is using the Race Card to do it.

Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that racial politics played a role in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during President Obama's speech to Congress last week and in some of the opposition the president has faced since taking office.

"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told NBC News. "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shares the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans."

"That racism inclination still exists, and I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of belief among many white people -- not just in the South but around the country -- that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply," Carter said.

Carter made similar remarks at an event at his presidential center in Atlanta, Georgia, The Associated Press reported Tuesday, pointing to some protesters who have compared Obama to a Nazi. "Those kind of things are not just casual outcomes of a sincere debate on whether we should have a national program on health care," the former president said at the Carter Center, according to AP. "It's deeper than that."

He grouped Wilson's shout of "You lie!" during Obama's speech in that category, according to AP. "I think it's based on racism. There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president," he said.

"The president is not only the head of government, he is the head of state. And no matter who he is or how much we disagree with his policies, the president should be treated with respect."

First of all, the people protesting are not just white people, they are of all races and religions. They are Americans first. Their color, their heritage, their religion all come second. There is no hyphen between their designation. They are Americans! Plain and simple.

Second, it is the sacred duty of each citizen to speak out against the grievances he or she perceives that the government is doing that is wrong. Was Congressman Wilson wrong to shout out? NO! It is his right as a citizen to do so. Were the Democrats Donkeycrats right in censoring him? NO! Rep. Wilson apologized to the President and they should have left it at that.

We have a President who is black. That is a fact of life, and the vast majority of Americans don't care about the color of his skin. It is the color of his politics that concerns them more. That color is a definite PINK! That is what the anger is about. That is the true color that scares them.

Jimmy Carter had a failed Presidency. His foreign policy fizzled. His domestic policy almost brought the nation to its knees. It was under his watch:

That the Mullahs took control of Iran (a move he applauded at the time).
That 53 Americans were held hostage by the Iranian Government for 444 days.
That unemployment rose to 8.5%.
That inflation was out of control.
That government spending went haywire.

Yet he calls his Presidency a success.

Jimmy Carter is a failed man. He lost his re-election bid to Ronald Reagan by a landslide.

Now all he can seem to do is to pick on Southern Baptists, Israelis, and now Middle Class America.

Carter is 85, and perhaps his age has something to do with it. If that is the case, then perhaps we should find a nice rest home for him. Somewhere quiet and peaceful. Far from the hustle and bustle of the world. Somewhere he can dream of the time he didn't lose to Ronald Reagan, and there would be no Israel or Middle Class to bother him so.

Former US President Jimmy Carter was honored by the Palestinian Authority government Saturday and pledged to support the Palestinians' campaign for independence to the end of his days.

In his acceptance speech, Carter urged the Palestinians to end their internal divisions and stop persecuting their rivals.


Carter met with Hamas' exiled leadership in Syria on Thursday and is to head to Gaza on Sunday, after meeting with Israeli officials. Carter has said peace between Israel and the Palestinians is impossible without involving Hamas, but reiterated in Syria that he was not representing the Obama administration.

In the West Bank, Carter was awarded the Palestine International Award for Excellence and Creativity. Previous recipients included two former international envoys, James Wolfensohn and Peter Hansen.

"I have been in love with the Palestinian people for many years," he said Saturday, adding that this is a feeling shared by members of his family.

"I have two great-grandsons that are rapidly learning about the people here and the anguish and suffering and deprivation of human rights that you have experienced ever since 1948," he said.

Referring to President Barack Obama's call for an Israeli settlement freeze, Carter said that "in the future, I am sure, he will call for the dismantling of the settlements that exist."

But he noted that Obama also called for an end to violence against Israelis and for Arab acceptance of Israelis' right to their own nation.

Carter, 85, pledged his "assistance, as long as I live, to win your freedom, your independence, your sovereignty and a good life."

Dhimmi Carter is 85, and we can see the results of senility has already setting in. It is time to find a good nursing home for the man, and perhaps a change of his medication.

8 Years of Rockets And Still No End In Sight

Imagine that you live under a situation in which every day there is a rocket attack from your neighbors. You don't know where it is going to strike, you don't know if your home, your family will suffer this time. Imagine that this has been going on for 8 years and the authorities would do nothing to stop these attacks. This is what the citizens of Sderot and the Western Negev have lived with for 8 years now. Even when there was a so-called "truce", the rockets fell. And yet the world only condemns Israel for attacking back.

Four Qassam rockets were fired from northern Gaza Saturday evening towards the city of Sderot in south Israel. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
One of the rockets landed in the courtyard of a local factory, but caused no damage to the site. Another rocket landed near a kibbutz in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, while the third landed near the security fence separating Israel from the Hamas-controlled territory. The landing site of the fourth Qassam has yet to be located.

The attack on Sderot took place at around 19:30 pm; loud explosions were heard in the city.

The al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jihad's armed wing, claimed responsibility for the barrage, saying it was launched in retaliation for Israel's "continued aggression" and "crimes of the occupation."

At 9:30 pm another Qassam rocket fired from Gaza landed in an open area in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

At least 15 Qassams and 26 mortars were fired toward the western Negev region throughout the day.

In the afternoon a barrage of mortar shells and one rocket fell in a kibbutz located within the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council's limits.

Now imagine a former US President siding with your attackers, advising them and telling the Media that it is all your fault that you are being attacked by your neighbor.

Former United States President Jimmy Carter reported that he advised Syrian-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal on what price to demand from Israel for the release of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, who was abducted more than two years ago. He said that Hamas is "relatively satisfied with the status quo."

Carter's visit to Lebanon and Syria earlier this month follows a trip to to Damascus several months ago in the face of American policy against establishing direct contact with the outlawed terrorist organization.

Carter wrote on his website that he spoke with Mashaal about "formulas for prisoner exchange to obtain the release of Corporal Shalit," who has since been promoted to sergeant.

However, he probably is not aware of the promotion because the International Red Cross has not succeeded in convincing Hamas to honor the Geneva Convention and allow its officials to visit him. The Red Cross also has rejected Israeli citizen's demands that it stop visiting terrorists in Israeli jails until Shalit is seen and confirmed to be alive and in good health.

A day before the Hamas-Israel ceasefire officially ended, Sderot Media Center facilitated a press conference with a panel of Sderot officials who provided brief updates of the security situation and the impact of the ceasefire on the area residents to Israeli and international press.
Member of Knesset and Kadima party member, Shai Chermesh, who is a resident of Kfar Aza, a western Negev community under daily mortar shelling, participated in the panel. He stated that the ceasefire had yielded no positive results for Israel. "Gilad Schalit is still in Gaza and Sderot and western Negev residents are still under rocket fire. This is a reality that our government must deal with and as of now, the government of Israel has shown that it has little authority over what is happening to Sderot and the western Negev," MK Chermesh concluded.



"Hamas is the occupying power of Gaza and has treated its constituents terribly," he added. "Hamas must stop using their own Palestinian civilians as sacrificial offerings by employing rocket terror tactics against innocent Israelis."
Chermesh stated that he believed that disengaging from Gaza in 2005 was a positive move. "It was important that we left and it was too bad that we didn't leave earlier," he stated. "If the IDF re-enters Gaza, the attack must be planned carefully. The people of Gaza should not go hungry and we must limit civilian causalities as much as possible."

Batya Katar, representing the Parents Association for the security of Sderot, stated that Sderot residents feel that Sderot is a separate entity. "We don't have the right leaders to deal with the reality of the region," she said. "If this was happening in Tel Aviv, there would be a completely different reaction from the government."

"Only yesterday evening, a Palestinian rocket landed right outside a busy supermarket. People outside at the time barely escaped the rocket explosion," Katar added. "Thanks to the Tzeva Adom, they were able to make it inside, but the attack could have been deadly. How many more rocket attacks must Sderot experience, how many near-death experiences must Sderot residents endure--before the government of Israel acts?"

The president of Sderot's Small Businesses Association, Danny Dahan told the press that the rocket fire was economically crippling the region. Dahan, who owns Dahan's supermarket in Sderot, explained that the changed shopping patterns of his customers--"they rush in and rush out" has contributed to the decrease in sales. "People no longer linger around, taking their time to buy food. Everyone wants to go home as quickly as possible." Dahan also stated that due to the rocket fire, there were problems with shipments of goods coming into Sderot. "Some of our suppliers refuse to enter Sderot because of the rocket fire. Many times, I end up going to the junction in Ashkelon to pick up the goods for my supermarket."

Noam Bedein, Sderot Media Center director, highlighted that the over 2,500 Palestinian rockets fired at Sderot and the western Negev have caused a marked increase in psychological trauma among Sderot children. "Between 70-94% of Sderot children are suffering from signs of PTSD, according to a recent NATAL survey" Bedein stated.

Bedein also related that between 300-400 Palestinian rockets have been fired at Israel since the ceasefire began in June. Yehuda Ben Maman, the Sderot security officer, added that although many bomb shelters have emerged throughout Sderot in the recent year, most of the structures provide protection from rocket shrapnel only and not from direct Qassam rocket hits.

But for the people of Sderot and the Western Negev, the IDF might be giving them a Chanukah present.

Military source: IDF prepared to 'conquer Gaza Strip' if need be

Military sources said the IDF was preparing for a wide-range of scenarios, pending government instructions.

"We have operational plans ranging from conquering the Gaza Strip to pinpoint raids against rocket squads," one officer said. "However, we will ultimately do what we are told to do."

Somebody find Grandpa Carter a good nursing home. I do believe he is showing the signs of senility and might start wandering off.

Carter to publish new peace book

Jimmy Carter has written a new book about Middle East peace.

The former president told his Carter Center, based in Atlanta, that his new book, "We Can Bring Peace to the Holy Land," would be published after President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration in January. Carter otherwise would not discuss the book.

On Wednesday, Carter spoke of Israel's "persecution of the Palestinians" during a panel discussion that concluded a two-day seminar at the Carter Center on international human rights.

The ex-president's last book, "Palestine: Peace not Apartheid," sparked controversy for likening Israeli settlement policies to apartheid and for accusing pro-Israel groups of muzzling debate in the United States.

His last book was an anti-Semitic tirade against Israel. This one will not be any better. Maybe Carter should spend some time on the persecutions of the natives of Darfur, Rwanda, Bosnia, Zimbabwe, and China. But they aren't being persecuted by Jews, so it is acceptable for the persecution to continue.

This man is a joke. He acts as if he is some great statesman and world leader, but his presidency was a dismal failure. He failed in foreign policy when he turned his back on our friend the Shah of Iran and accept with joyful glee the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's idea of government. Too bad that one bit him in the ass. Any other President of the United States would have seen the taking of the US Embassy in Tehran as what it was, an Act of War. But not Dhimmi Carter. He appeased and gave in to the Iranians.

So now, a new book. A new idea on how to finally finish the job Hitler started and make himself look like a peacemaker when in fact he should be wearing a tiny mustache and a swastika armband instead.

Dhimmi Carter is Traveling Again

Fresh from his excursion to Damascus where he met with Hamas leaders praising them and calling for Israel's destruction. And fresh from his visit to the grave of the murderer Arafat. Siding with Hamas isn't enough for this anti-Semite. Now Dhimmi Carter is going to Lebanon to meet with Hezbollah leaders.

Lebanese press reports over the weekend indicate that former US President Jimmy Carter is expected to meet with leading officials from Hizbullah over the course of the summer. This visit would come on the heels of Carter’s visit to Damascus two months ago, in which he met with the head of the Hamas terrorist organization’s political wing, Khaled Mashaal.

And maybe they will let Carter fire a couple of rockets into Israel, he couldn't get to Gaza to shoot off any.

Carter has received criticism in both Israel and the United States for these contacts with Hamas terrorist figures. He has been a vocal critic of Israel, especially in terms of counterterrorism policies, in recent years. Carter also broke with longstanding US policy by laying a wreath on Arafat's grave in April 2008.

Carter is either very naive or carrying messages for Hezbollah from Barack Hussein Obama. Considering that Carter has endorsed Obama recently, although he made it known that he was favoring Obama during the primary season and since every policy Obama has is the exact same one as Dhimmi Carter, including many of his advisors. I wonder what deals is Obama trying to make with these terrorists?

Is it that while Obama is trying to court the Jewish vote in the US, he is promising Hamas and Hezbollah to help them wipe out Israel? I wouldn't put it pass him. Obama isn't just a crooked politician, he is one who will say anything to get elected. Selling out the nation of Israel would be just like him.

So while Dhimmi Carter goes to Lebanon and Obama lies to the American people about his past, his intentions and his true nature, the nation of Israel will hold their breath and pray. Pray that Obama never becomes President of the United States. For his ideal solution to the problems there is to finish the job Hitler started.
