Where's Ivan? ~~ By J. D. Longstreet

Hat Tip to Faultline USA

Is This America?

I watched with anger and dismay as the parent tried his best to put a question to a school board of some kind in a public meeting. He vehemently protested to the other parents in the room -- "You are sitting here like cattle.” Then he said, “Is this America?” as he was roughly escorted from the room. Read More

Many decades ago there was a joke circulated the world over that, I think, shows this incident in the light it deserves. I will relate that story as best I remember it for you now:
There was a gathering in Red Square in Moscow. Nikita Khrushchev, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, was addressing the gathered crowd. He was regaling them in glowing terms about the success of socialism/communism in the USSR when he decided to emphasize the current prosperity of the soviet people. He shouted proudly: "Everyone in Russia has washing machine! If you don't have washing machine ... raise your hand."

Way back in the crowd a hand shot up. Khrushchev saw it and asked: "What's your name?" "Ivan," the man answered. Khrushchev asked: "What's your problem?" Ivan answered, "I don't have a washing machine." Khrushchev replied with "... not to worry, problem WILL be fixed."

The very next week another gathering of the faithful was held in Red Square and Khrushchev was again singing the praises of socialism/communism. Again, he noted proudly how everyone in Russia had a washing machine. A hand shot up way back in the crowd. Khrushchev, somewhat irritated, asked what was his question, whereupon the man asked: "Where's Ivan?"
That story popped into my mind as I watched the Maryland parent being denied his constitutional rights -- right there in public for everyone to see and hear.

THAT, gentle reader, is the "New Normal" in America. The abused citizen's question haunted me all night that evening and still stalks my every waking moment. "Is this America?" he asked in desperate frustration as he was involuntarily "escorted" toward the door of the meeting room.

I submit to you that those words should be the battle cry of the new freedom movement in America. "Is THIS America?" Most assuredly it is NOT America. I don't know what our beloved country has become, but it is not the America our Founders and fore bearers handed off to us.

That father, concerned for his child's education, issued the admonition "You're sitting here like cattle" to the other parents sitting quietly allowing the violation of his, heck -- THEIR, constitutional rights to go unchallenged -- right in front of them.

It hasn't been that long ago in America when a brawl would have ensured. Red-blooded Americans would not have allowed that man to be treated as if he were a citizen in a communist totalitarian country, a banana republic, or some third world socialist dung heap ruled over by a narcissistic tin pot dictator.

But that was THEN -- you know, back when America truly WAS the land of the free and the home of the brave. Today America is neither.

The fearless American government is assaulting America's freedom and liberty in ways that the old leaders of the USSR, of Communist China, and, yes, even the old Third Reich of Adolf Hitler did not have the temerity to try on their own citizens and slaves.

Uncle Sam has gone from "uncle" to "big brother." America is now a "police state." No. We are not BECOMING a police state. We ARE a police state.

The US Constitution is nothing more than a ceremonial artifact locked away in a display case. It is ignored. The Bill of Rights has been so eroded that many of them no longer have any power, at all!

The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave ... don't make me laugh! (or cry, actually.)

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action." George Washington, the very first President of the United States (under the constitution) said that, and that was at the very beginning of our existence as a country. But like so much else about the "whys" and "wherefores" of the founding of this nation, it, too, has been either forgotten or -- even worse -- forsaken.

As of the day of this writing over 2/3rds of the country believes the US is on the wrong course. A Bloomberg National Poll reports that "Americans also are pessimistic about the course of the country, with 68 percent saying it’s headed in the wrong direction, the most in two years, according to the poll of 1,000 adults conducted Sept. 20-23." SOURCE

So. What are we going to do about it?

Unfortunately, I can't say that we are going to gather ourselves, clean the house in Washington, and set this country back on course. Because, you see, I am convinced we are too deeply divided now to ever be whole again.

Maybe it is time to consider this: When something is so broken it cannot be repaired, often one is compelled to discard it and replace it with a new one. If America has not yet reached that point, then she is certainly approaching it at a furious pace. Where is Ivan, indeed? When one reflects that Ivan can disappear in America these days, just as he could in the old USSR, the story becomes far less funnier.

Many decades ago Elmer Davis, former CBS journalist, reminded us: “This will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.”

The fact that America is no longer free indicates our parallel lack of bravery, as well.

PUBLIC EDUCATION GETS A BIG FAT "F"

Hat Tip to Gates of Vienna

By Dr. Patrick Johnston
September 13, 201

A recent Columbus Dispatch article reveals the horrifyingly bad news about our public schools. The “Public Education Report Card” was dismal: “Four F’s, Three D’s, Two C’s.”

Not enough kids can pass tests, the Dispatch reports. A year’s worth of learning did not take place. Far too few students graduate. Public education is “outright failing.” All but eight of the district’s 115 schools earned at least one “F” grade.

“The community can no longer pretend all is well here,” Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman says. “It is not.” He calls the academic report “disgraceful.” Ohio’s capital only met three of the 24 standards. “We as a community have failed this school and the children of this district.” The Dispatch hails the mayor for his courageous honesty.

Did the community really fail the children of Columbus’ district as Mayor Coleman claims? When ”the community” – the people – educate children instead of government bureaucracies, the children do much better at much less expense. If education were taken out of the government’s jurisdiction and put in the people’s lap, we’d still have prayer in school, wouldn’t we? It wasn’t a democratic consensus that ripped prayer and Ten Commandments out of public school classrooms. It was a federal judiciary that had no regard for constitutional limitations. If education were put in the people’s charge, we wouldn’t have gay propaganda shoved down our children’s throats. We wouldn’t have the transgendered son of two lesbian parents using the girl’s restroom under California state law. If education were put in the people’s jurisdiction, we wouldn’t have students punching teachers in the face, all the while being assured that they wouldn’t be spanked for it. We wouldn’t have teachers like John Freshwater fired keeping a Bible on their desk, or for presenting scientific criticism of the theory of evolution. No, it’s not the people enforcing “Next Generation Science Standards” on students, forcing even more Darwinian dogmatism in science classes at even earlier ages. According to a 2009 Zogby poll, 78% of American voters agree that “Biology teachers should teach Darwin’s theory of evolution, but also the scientific evidence against it.” It’s not the people that dreamed up a _________ per year per student educational system whose report card reads “Four F’s, Three D’s, and Two C’s.” Nope, it’s not the people of Columbus that have failed the children.

World Magazine reports in this week’s edition that the National Education Association’s annual convention in Atlanta saw “Common Core” curricula being presented as the remedy to the failing educational outcomes (as if more federal control will repair the disaster that federal control has caused.) The NEA conference attendees shouted down a brave proposal to prevent NEA funds from supporting abortion, and vigorously cheered a proposal to shove lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered history, people, and issues more thoroughly into their instruction. These, along with the godless judges, are the crooks at the steering wheel of our nation’s highly expensive, failing education system.

What did Mayor Coleman propose to fix the glaring deficiencies in the education deficiencies? “Pass a 9.01 million dollar levy this November.”

The schools run by the people – private schools and home schools – do a much better job at much less expense. The best private schools Mayor Coleman’s district cost half as much with far superior results. 80% of home schooling families spend less than $800 per year per child, with better testing scores, better graduation rates, and more students progressing to higher education. Yet Mayor Coleman thinks that he and the NEA can fix the problem if only they had more money.

Pretend your physician has hurt you more than he’s helped you, and has done so at great financial expense to you. As a matter of fact, he’s the most expensive physician within 150 miles! Yet in 24 measurements of quality of care, he’s only passed three of them. You upbraid him for his malpractice, and his remedy is “pay me more money and I’ll do better.” What?

How about firing him and get another physician?

Pretend your attorney has failed to defend you well from a false charge in court, and he’s cost you a fortune in the process. The billboard ensured you that he’s the best lawyer in town! Yet in 24 ways of measuring the attorney’s abilities, he only passed three of the measurements. You reprove him for failing you, for not keeping his promises, for costing you millions with nothing to show for it except time behind bars for something you didn’t do, and he rebuts, “If you only paid me more, I could do better!”

How about suing him for doing drugs when he’s defending you in court, and hiring another attorney?

Mayor Coleman proposed the city adopt a “Declaration of Independence” from the “old way of doing business.” I agree.

The “old way of doing business” is the state monopoly on public education. The “old way of doing business” is forcing even those who object to atheistic evolution theory to pay for the pagan education of other people’s kids upon pain of fine, prison, or property confiscation. The “old way of doing business” is forcing parents who are trying to teach their children abstinence, to fund the condom-distributing, abortion-drug-prescribing safe sex propaganda of their local public school. The “old way of doing business” is to have teachers read “Heather Has Two Mommies” to underage kids, and have them practice putting a condom on a wooden dummy, as Ohio’s safe sex education curricula recommends.

Thomas Jefferson said, “To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.” The “old way of doing business,” Mr. Mayor, is sinful and tyrannical, and your remedy is more sin and tyranny.

Let’s have a separation of school and state and see what the people can do. Before the advent of public education, the American colonies had a 97% literacy rate according to a study that President Thomas Jefferson ordered. The righteousness of our people gave them victory over Great Britain’s tyranny and Nazi Germany’s Holocaust – without all the suicides that characterize soldiers of the present generation. Noah Webster, our nations’ first education bureaucrat, said, “Education is useless without God and the Bible.” Education was never better when the people taught students to read instead of put on condoms, and when they taught them pray and memorize Scripture via the New England Primer, but thanks to the judiciary-approved pagans presently at the helm of public education’s ship, it’s been downhill ever since.

Let’s fire the government stooges and the condom-peddling homosexuals at the NEA, and let the people educate the children.

Shackles Of The NEW American Slavery ~~~~By J.D. Longstreet

Stolen from Faultline USA

Long before the Progressives got hold of our Public Education system in the United States, educators used to actually teach history. Those days, however, are long, long, gone.

Knowledge of one’s history is integral to the character of a person, of a people and of a nation. History is OUR story. It is the record of our victories and our failures. It tells us where we have been and tells us how we got here. It forms the basic foundation for any plans we formulate for where we intend to go in our collective future. History is vital.

For history to yield a true course into the future it is absolutely necessary that the records be absolutely complete. That means history should always tell the whole story — the good, the bad, and the ugly — ALL of it. The records should always include those events of which we are justly proud — and — justly ashamed. For without the entire record, studying our history would be akin to reading a newspaper from which articles of critical importance have been cut out and discarded.

A scholar attempting to study our history would never get the entire story, the entire record, and any decisions made, or actions taken, based on his study of recorded history would, of necessity, be flawed. But the scholar would never know those decisions and actions were indeed, flawed, because his own studies were, to put it mildly, incomplete.

Insufficient knowledge often referred to (commonly) as ignorance, has been the root cause of the downfall of many nations. And it now appears it has become the root cause of the downfall of The United States of America.

Today, America faces one of its worst crises ever. A Constitutional Crisis looms on America’s horizon as the current government seeks to expand its powers into areas where it has no constitutional authority. Congress continues to cross constitutional lines and into legislative territory held sacrosanct by the constitution for the states and/or the people… not the federal government. Our President simply by passes Congress, and the constitution, and makes law himself and then decrees its existence.

Nullification laws used by the southern states prior to the American Civil War to try to warn Congress they were “out of bounds” are being dusted off and returned to use by several states while many other states are actively considering them.

How did we come to this?

National Ignorance.

I contend that had it not been for ignorance of the constitution, ignorance of America’s collective history, ignorance of the history of western civilization, the current government of the US would not be in power today. There is simply no way, short of rebellion, for a leadership so bent on transforming America from a constitutional republic into a socialist/communist nation, to have ever come to power.

Americans are a “breed apart.” Unlike our European cousins we tend to abhor government intrusion and intervention in our lives. We fought a war against a world superpower when we were only 13 colonies stuck on the eastern seaboard of a vast mostly unknown, and certainly un-conquered, continent, to break free from the shackles of a government which resembles, far too closely, the government we have today in our nation’s capital. It is a vital part of our story — of our history.

But ignorance has taken a toll, a horrible toll, on America. A generation, or more, of Americans do not know who they are. They don’t know that Americans fought a war to free themselves from a tyrannical government much like the one currently ruling over us today in Washington, DC. Too, they are ignorant of their rights, which were granted by God and the US Constitution. It is THIS ignorance that has brought America to the precipice to which she desperately clings today.

America’s current national leadership is only the tip of an iceberg. It is just the tip a movement that has been toiling, for nearly a century, behind the scenes to bring about this transformation of America into some sort of collectivist state, a socialist/communist state, if you will. If they are finally successful they will install an all powerful central government which will impose it’s will on every American at a whim. Representative government will be gone. “Consent of the Governed” will have no meaning, whatsoever. It will, effectively, re-impose slavery in America – and this time – we will ALL be slaves.

Even today the powerful Obama Administration has extended its tentacles into practically every aspect of our lives. What is truly frightening, however, is this: Now that Obamacare is law; bonds have been forged that will enslave every American and tether us to the government as slaves forever.

Why Can't Johnny Read?

In a few weeks children will be returning to school.  In the olden times (before 1970) they would have learned reading, writing and arithmetic.  Today they learn love of socialism, Godlessness, and sexuality.  And you wonder why Johnny can't read.
SURPRISE: HIGH SCHOOL GRADS CAN'T READ

By Lee Duigon
March 14, 2013
NewsWithViews.com

City University of New York officials raised some eyebrows last week when they revealed that 80 percent of the high school grads who enroll in CUNY can’t read, write, or do basic arithmetic. If you’re a New York City high school grad, that means eight out of ten.

Not to worry: tests administered by the U.S. Dept. of Education show that, nationwide, only 30 percent of eighth-graders in the public schools—that’s just three out of ten—can read like eighth-graders.

Do you still wonder why Obama’s president?

Meanwhile, what does it cost us to mal-educate whole generations of Americans?

As of 2009, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, New York City spent $19,000 per illiterate student per year. If you had to pay that much tuition for a private school, and your kid could barely read a bubble-gum wrapper, you’d think you were being ripped off.

But it’s not just New York. In ten years, Wisconsin doubled its per-pupil spending on the public schools, from just under $5,000 in 1998 to over $10,000 in 2008. Government tests, though, find that only 32 percent of the kids in Wisconsin’s public schools can read properly. On the other hand, these kids do know how to demonstrate against the state’s evil plan to make teachers pay a wee bit of their own pension and health care costs. So it’s not like they’re learning nothing at all.

Public school kids learn a lot of cool stuff that has nothing to do with reading, writing, or arithmetic. They learn that you can be any “gender” you want, on any given day. They learn all about the evils of capitalism (it causes Global Warming, you know) and the ineffable goodness of socialism. They learn an enormous amount about homosexuality as a universal good. They learn that the Holy Bible is hate literature, that their parents’ Christian beliefs are obsolete and wrong, and that “religion” in general—except when it’s used by Democrat politicians to justify abortion, sodomite mock marriage, and class warfare—is something vaguely obscene that must be rigorously kept out of public discourse.

They simply don’t have time to learn to read.

As for those arcane and esoteric realms of knowledge, like history and literature and civics—well, really, there’s just no need for it. You don’t need to know that stuff to get food stamps and yack on your Obama phone. That’s the kind of learning that only unsettles the common herd and makes like difficult for the rulers. It’s so much better to teach that redistribution of wealth makes everybody happy.

Let’s face it, America. You have handed over your whole posterity, your country’s future, to anti-Christian teacher unions, theorizers, homosexual activists, and politicians-for-hire who despise your country and want to “transform” it into something else—a lot of Hugo Chavez wannabes. Oh, and they despise you, too.

Nineteen grand a year for a high school education (I use the term loosely) that doesn’t include acquiring an ability to read proficiently—are you out of your minds, agreeing to a deal like that? Because you have agreed, folks. By sending your children to those costly but inept schools day after day, year after you, you have consented to be swindled.

“Oh, my school district’s not like that!” Are you serious? We’re talking national findings here, from sea to shining sea. The odds are two-to-one that your school district’s failing. If you live in New York City, it’s four-to-one your local public school’s a dud.

So we’re training up tomorrow’s citizens and voters to be dullards at best, and corrupt, lazy, and immoral bastards at worst, if they get the whole public education smorgasbord of sex, socialism, and self-esteem.

So we’re training up tomorrow’s citizens and voters to be dullards at best, and corrupt, lazy, and immoral bastards at worst, if they get the whole public education smorgasbord of sex, socialism, and self-esteem.

Yes, I know: probably you don’t believe it. “They aren’t proselytizing for gay marriage in my son’s school!” Don’t bet on it. Schools never release the details of their sex education curriculum unless forced to by a lawsuit. They don’t let the kids take the classroom materials home with them, and most kids are embarrassed to discuss these lessons with their parents. The school doesn’t even hire a substitute if the sex ed teacher is absent.

If the schools were as guiltless as you think they are, our country wouldn’t be as confused, confounded, and as broke as you can see it is.
For 50 years the leftists have told the American population that they know what and how to teach American children.  And the results are in.  Young men and women who are functionally (if not literally) illiterate.  Young men and women who have been taught that the moon and stars fall upon their heads.  That they are the greatest for just existing.  That their poop don't stink.  (IT DOES!!!)  These overpaid babysitters believe that children don't need to read and write.  Just to be able to fill out a welfare form.

If you had to pay for this education you would have been suing the schools for fraud.  No parent willingly accepts this type of education for their child if they are paying for it.  But call it a "Free Education", paid for by taxpayers, then it is acceptable.

In a high technological society such as we live in functional illiteracy is not just unacceptable, but leads to the downfall of that form of society.

Riding The Whirlwind

Stolen From Faultline USA

A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

A whirlwind is a vertical column of air whirling around itself as it moves over the surface of the Earth.  Think about that for a moment.

Now.  Consider this:  "For they sow the wind; and they reap the whirlwind."  That is from the Old Testament book of Hosea chapter 8 verse 7.

Like so many of the conservative commentariat,  I am STILL trying to analyze why America deliberately decided to turn a corner, or choose a path, that will unquestionably lead to its own destruction.

The choice to forsake a constitutional republic for a socialist, collectivist, Marxist, form of government is surreal.  It's like something from a bad science fiction movie in which the population is entirely controlled by some malevolent entity intent upon controlling the world.

I must confess:  I made a terrible mistake in that I assumed the American people still had enough common sense, enough discernment, enough honor left to do the right thing.

Last November the American electorate proved me wrong.  Woefully wrong.

Our ship of state was (is) (so obviously) headed toward the jagged rocks I assumed we would remove the less-than-adequate helmsman and replace him with a real mariner who would stir us away from certain destruction on the shoals and rocks. I was terribly wrong.

The reelection of Obama was a grand victory for ignorance.  It is the pay-off for years of indoctrination in our public schools.  The old Judeo-Christian ethics have been purged from our public education system in favor of secular humanism.  You can lay the blame for paving the way for it at the feet of our leftist, radical, Supreme Court and the Court's rulings from as far back as the 1960's.

Abraham Lincoln is given credit for saying: "The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next."  Whoever said it -- it was spot on.

The old Proverb -- "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree" is absolutely correct.  I think the ultimate source of this old proverb is from the Bible: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."  Proverbs 22: 6.  We see ample proof of the wisdom of this proverb in our public education system today.

If you, perhaps, thought those of us who warned for decades of the trouble ahead for America due to the secular (and even religious) humanism being taught in our public schools were just blowing smoke -- consider the following carefully: "Expanding upon the role the public education establishment should play to bring about the goals described in the Humanist Manifesto II, John Dumphy wrote: "I am convinced that the battle for humankind's future must be waged and won in the public school classroom by teachers that correctly perceive their role as proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity that recognizes and respects the spark of what theologians call divinity in every human being...The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and new -- the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism, resplendent with the promise of a world in which the never-realized Christian ideal of 'love thy neighbor' will finally be achieved." (Emphasis by underlining is MINE.)  SOURCE

The generation of Americans who elected -- and then reelected -- Obama were graduates of this public school system.  They were programmed to act as automatons, to choose loyalty to the state over loyalty to God and their family.  They marched to the polls and did as they had been told, indeed, had been taught, programmed, -- indoctrinated to do.

Author Ron Taylor, in his book  "Agenda 21: An Expose of the United Nations" in which he writes of  the  "Sustainable Development Initiative and the Forfeiture of American Sovereignty and Liberties" says the following:  "It is their stated goal...to steal one generation of children and teach them to place loyalty to the state above loyalty to family."

See, this generation knows almost nothing of American history.  They know next to nothing about the Judeo-Christian origin of America.  They are ignorant of our founding documents, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights.  The only thing they know about capitalism and the American system of free markets is what they were taught -- that capitalism is bad.  They know far more about the benefits of Socialism and Marxism and "equality."

"Those coming out of years of humanistic brainwashing masquerading as public education know little of the Bible, America's Christian origins and founding documents, and the blessings of free-market capitalism. Instead, they know a great deal about sex education, values clarification, moral relativism, Darwinian evolution, Socialism and Marxism, earth worship, multiculturalism, one-world globalism, Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, and appeasement foreign policy. Products of these schools comprised the Obama voters in 2012."   SOURCE:

The definition of discernment is:  The cognitive condition of someone who understands.  It also means:  The trait of judging wisely and objectively.  We learned on November 6th, of last year, that "discernment" is something that is "verging" on extinction in America today.  We no longer know our right hand from our left -- nor good from evil.  Thanks to moral relativism, better known as political correctness, modern Americans believe there is no such thing as good and evil, or right and wrong.  Everything is, well, relative.

It no longer matters what scripture teaches us, what history teaches us, what experience teaches us, what common sense teaches us, nor what plain old morality teaches us. No.  Now it is -- how do I feel about it.  "I," and/or "Me," is at the center of their very existence.

For a perfect example of this self-centered life, one has only to listen to one of our President's speeches.  Try to keep a running tally of the number of times the words "I" and "Me" and "MY" are spoken in a single address.  What is equally troubling is how effective the narcissism indoctrination of our young scholars has been.  For the most part, they don't even notice the over-abundant use of those personal pronouns "I" and "me" and the  "possessive" adjective "my,"  because,  to them, it's NORMAL!   How inexpressively sad that is.

Some years ago, I left my church when I "discerned" it was swinging away from the Gospels and embracing the apostate teachings of the leftist political agenda.  Now,we have social justice, environmentalism, inclusiveness, tolerance, multiculturalism, all lovingly spoken of from the pulpits of our religious community.

With all the respect I can muster for those of America's religious community who have sold out to mammon, allow me to ask:  Are you REALLY surprised that the leftist agenda you supported, and led your flocks to support, would come back to bite you?   As you have now learned, you cannot pick and choose which parts of the leftist agenda you will support and which parts you will not. It is all -- or nothing!

The reason so many are so concerned about America's future under Obama's second term is not JUST his Socialist/Marxist agenda only.  It is the sudden understanding that this was a culmination of all the work the progressive left has done in our schools and our churches since, at least, the late 1940's.

The progressive left has successfully created a hybrid American. They have created a society wholly dependent  upon others for, well, everything.  Easily led these new Americans can be made to do, say, and believe anything their masters want.  They are the perfect slaves.  And they are self perpetuating.

Ultimately, it means the death of America as the stabilizing force on the planet. Without America, chaos will reign on planet earth.  We are already seeing ample evidence of this all over the globe today.

This is why so many of us on the right are so troubled and upset by the results of the election last November.  Obama's reelection was the final step toward a single world-wide government or "global governance."

For many decades we have sown the wind.  Now, we shall reap the harvest from that which we have so blithely sown -- the whirlwind.  And having no choice now, we must learn to ride the whirlwind we have created.

A Speech Every American High School Principal Should Give

Hat Tip to a12iggymom

America has lost its decency, manners, politeness……………soon without quick changes character!

Listen to the young people, F-this, F-that, and nary anyone will step up and correct them- even with wife and kids in tow!

New high school principal

We watched high school principal Dennis Prager of Colorado , along with Sara Palin and Tom Brokaw on TV a couple of weeks ago….what a dynamic, down to earth speaker. Even though Palin and Brokaw were also guest speakers they did little but nod and agree with him.
A Speech Every American High School Principal Should Give.
By Dennis Prager.

To the students and faculty of our high school:

I am your new principal, and honored to be so.
There is no greater calling than to teach young people.

I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our school. I am making these changes because I am convinced that some ideas that have dominated public education in America have worked against you, against your teachers and against our country.

First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity.
I could not care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red, yellow or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin American, Asian or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower or on slave ships. The only identity I care about, the only one this school will recognize, is your individual identity — your character, your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will care about is American.

This is an American public school, and American public schools were created to make better Americans. If you wish to affirm an ethnic, racial or religious identity through school, you will have to go elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity, race and non-American nationality-based celebrations. They undermine the motto of America , one of its three central values — epluribus Unum, “from many, one.” And this school will be guided by America ‘s values. This includes all after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students based on any identities. This includes race, language, religion, sexual orientation or whatever else may become in vogue in a society divided by political correctness.

Your clubs will be based on interests and passions, not blood, ethnic, racial or other physically defined ties. Those clubs just cultivate narcissism — an unhealthy preoccupation with the self — while the purpose of education is to get you to think beyond yourself. So we will have clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music, astronomy, languages you do not already speak, carpentry and more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being interested in are those based on ethnic, racial or sexual identity, that means that little outside of yourself really interests you.

Second, I am uninterested in whether English is your native language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The English language has united America ‘s citizens for over 200 years, and it will unite us at this school. It is one of the indispensable reasons this country of immigrants has always come to be one country. And if you leave this school without excellent English language skills, I would be remiss in my duty to ensure that you will be prepared to successfully compete in the American job market. We will learn other languages here — it is deplorable that most Americans only speak English — but if you want classes taught in your native language rather than in English, this is not your school.

Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor , everything in this school will reflect learning’s elevated status. This means, among other things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. Many people in our society dress more formally for Hollywood events than for church or school. These people have their priorities backward. Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.

Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school’s property — whether in class, in the hallways or at athletic events. If you can’t speak without using the f -word, you can’t speak. By obscene language I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications Commission, plus epithets such as “Nigger,” even when used by one black student to address another black, or “bitch,” even when addressed by a girl to a girlfriend. It is my intent that by the time you leave this school, you will be among the few your age to instinctively distinguish between the elevated and the degraded, the holy and the obscene.

Fifth, we will end all self-esteem programs. In this school, self-esteem will be attained in only one way — the way people attained it until decided otherwise a generation ago — by earning it. One immediate consequence is that there will be one valedictorian, not eight.

Sixth, and last, I am reorienting the school toward academics and away from politics and propaganda. No more time will be devoted to scaring you about smoking and caffeine, or terrifying you about sexual harassment or global warming. No more semesters will be devoted to condom wearing and teaching you to regard sexual relations as only or primarily a health issue… There will be no more attempts to convince you that you are a victim because you are not white, or not male, or not heterosexual or not Christian. We will have failed if any one of you graduates this school and does not consider him or herself inordinately fortunate — to be alive and to be an American.

Now, please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our country. As many of you do not know the words, your teachers will hand them out to you.

If all schools nationwide adopted this ideology for their schools, I know we would all be better off!

Pass this along if you agree. . . . If not delete …. .and later regret it !

Another Example of How Our Miseducation System is Failing Our Kids

Stolen From Stop The ACLU

This goes under the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot category.
Remember how you were taught in school how to add a series of numbers? Remember how you were told to write each set of numbers on top of each other, to stack them so you could then add them together to get a total?

Kids aren’t taught that any more. In fact, the system of “cubes, sheets, sticks and dots” they are taught now is so convoluted, involved and confusing that it often results in wrong answers. But correct answers isn’t the goal for today’s fetid school systems. “The process” is all that is cared about.
If you aren’t infuriated by this video…

Click here if the video fails to load.

These are unionized teachers perpetrating this crime on our kids, folks.

Remember that.
I don't know about you, but after the first 30 seconds I wanted to find the teacher and punch him or her out.  And we are suppose to train these children to be the engineers, doctors and scientists of the future.  Really?

Teacher Put On Leave After Stomping On The US Flag In Front Of Students

Hat Tip to Wake Up America

Scott Compton, an English teacher at Chapin High School in Chapin, S.C. has been put on administrative leave after students detail his actions in classes where he took an American flag, threw it on the floor, and stomped on it while telling his students "‘This is a symbol, but it’s only a piece of cloth. It doesn’t mean anything."

One parent, Michael Copeland, said he heard his teenage daughter discussing the incident and asked her to tell him the whole story.
“He drew a couple of symbols, like one of them was a cross, and he said, ‘What does this represent,’ and everybody said, ‘Christianity,’” Copeland explained to WIS.

“Then he proceeds to take down the American flag, and said, ‘This is a symbol, but it’s only a piece of cloth. It doesn’t mean anything,’ and then he throws it down on the floor and then stomps on it, repeatedly,” Copeland continued.

“I asked what was he trying to get, the point across? And she said, ‘I don’t know,’ and he said, his explanation was there would be no consequences, it’s just a piece of cloth that doesn’t mean anything.”
The best response I have seen so far reportedly comes from Mark Bounds, a spokesperson for the school district:
“Our superintendent served in the military, I served in the military for 20 years, our flag is a symbol of our freedom, and so many people have fought and died for that liberty, and so we take this action very seriously,” Bounds added.
As well they should.

I am sure there are a number of active military and veterans, among many others, that would take offense at Mr. Compton's actions.

On a personal note:

When I was in school (During the Stone Age) we were respectful to the flag.  We had better been.  If we had done such a deed in front of our classmates, forget our teachers, we would have gotten our heads handed to us by our friends, families, teachers, etc...   If a teacher had done this, he would have found himself in the hospital by our fathers (most of whom fought in WW 2).

What Scott Compton did is just a sign of the ineptitude of our teachers.  The lack of morals and patriotism that we have been seeing for the last 4 years.  Our children are being indoctrinated (There is nothing that even resembles teaching.) by members of the Communist Party, by people who wish to destroy this nation.

If you have children in the Public Pubic Schools get them out now!!!  Home school them if you cannot afford to put them in a decent school.  Do it today!
