Jihad Watch Has Photos of UC Irvine

Hat tip Jihad Watch

Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch has posted photos of an area adjacent to the Cross Cultural Center at UC Irvine, which is used every day by Muslim Students to conduct their prayers.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/11/university-of-california-irvine-allows-muslim-prayer-in-area-restricted-to-all-othersted.html

(No, the photos did not come from Yours Truly.)

All I can add is that the pictures are accurate, that this area has long been a hangout for the MSU students, that they do, indeed, conduct their prayers there, and that they have been known to ask outsiders to leave when they are praying. If you walk into that area, you will draw looks. And yes, there is a call to prayer. On one occasion this year, I observed a young man standing on the wall in front of the patio and facing out over Ring Road ( the principal campus walkway) giving the call to prayer

In addition, a few days ago, someone called the UCI Fire Marshall's Office to inquire about the sign. The caller was told that the sign had been in place for the past four years, that there were similar signs all over the campus, that the rule was not strictly enforced, and in this case, would have to be enforced by the Cross Cultural Center, which is located next to the patio. (Whether that patio is part of the CCC is dubious. There is a university building directly behind the patio, but the doors are locked, and there appear to be no active rooms on that side of the building, which houses the campus newspaper office to the rear.)

As to the first point that the sign has been in place for four years, that is simply not true. I can testify personally to that. I don't know when it was put up, but the first time I saw it was this past Monday afternoon. I can tell you that the sign was recently put up. Just one look tells you the sign is not 4 years old. It is fairly new. As to there being similar signs all over campus, that is surprising to me as well. On Thursday, I walked all around Ring Road and checked a few courtyards. I saw no other such sign anywhere on campus.

My question is why was this sign recently put up by the university fire marshal. Could it have been to stop the use of the patio by the MSU for their daily prayers? I seriously doubt it. If so, it is being ignored. That raises the question of whether the fire marshal put up the sign, in effect, to keep others out of the patio area, which in effect, is the MSU gathering place. If the university wants the area clear in case of fire, why is there a metal picnic-type table with bench and soda machines there?

This all raises the question of restriction of religious practices (Muslims are required to pray 5 times a day at specified hours) and whether public displays of prayers might violate some government code of separation of church and state. There is, in fact, a non-denominational chapel facility on the campus that is available for all religions to use. Another question is whether a university should put its imprimatur on a certain part of the campus being restricted to one group. Obviously, that is not official, but unofficially, perhaps? If UCI really wants to have a certain section of its (public) campus reserved for Muslims, why not just put a sign up that says, "Muslims only"? Is that really what the average Muslim student wants? I would hope not.

So why is that sign there? Is it to keep the Muslims from praying there or to keep non-Muslims out?

But don't ask me; I'm just a part-time teacher here. Inquiries should be directed to UC Irvine.

School Orders Child to Remove G-d From Poem

The child, a young girl at West Marion Elementary School in North Carolina was ordered by Principal Desarae Kirkpatrick to remove the word G-d from her poem that was to be read later that day at a Veteran's Day ceremony.
A North Carolina community is embroiled in controversy after a school ordered a six-year-old girl to remove the word “G-d” from a poem that she was supposed to read during a Veteran’s Day ceremony.

The girl is a first-grader at West Marion Elementary School. She was supposed to read the poem during a school assembly marking Veteran’s Day. The poem honored her two grandfathers who had served during the Vietnam War.

He prayed to G-d for peace, he prayed to G-d for strength,” the poem read.

A parent reportedly found out about the poem and expressed concern about mentioning the word G-d during a school event. The parent did not want the Almighty’s name mentioned anywhere in the program, according to one account.

“We wanted to make sure we were upholding the school district’s responsibility of separation of church and state from the Establishment Clause,” Supt. Gerri Martin told the McDowell News.

Martin told the newspaper she made the decision in consultation with the school’s principal and vice principal.

“We jointly decided that we must err on the side of caution to prevent crossing the line on the Establishment Clause of the Constitution,” Kirkpatrick told the newspaper. “As a principal of a public school, I must put aside my personal religious beliefs and follow the law — which upholds that we have freedom of speech and freedom of religion, but that we, as public schools, cannot endorse one single religion over another.”

Fox News contacted the parents of the child but they declined to comment on the controversy.

The incident has sparked widespread concern across this western North Carolina community — called by many the buckle of the Bible Belt.

“I’m reserving my opinion at this point – but I’m very concerned that the young lady’s First Amendment rights have been broken,” said Scott Hagaman, senior pastor of Marion’s First Baptist Church.

He told Fox News that ministers across the community are alarmed what happened and many are asking questions.

“It’s saturated the community,” he said. “I’m quite sure it will be handled appropriately and fairly but right now there is a lot of concern that this child was not treated appropriately.”

The issue is expected to be addressed by local residents at next week’s school board meeting.

“I am outraged that a school would deny a six year old child her First Amendment rights — especially during an assembly to honor our nation’s veterans,” Trudy Pascoe told Fox News. “It is unacceptable for schools to continue to deny students rights because of their Christian viewpoint.”

Chris Greene, who happens to be employed by the school district, spoke to board members earlier this week.

“My question is this, when do the rights of one outweigh the rights of another,” he asked in remarks covered by the local newspaper. “I believe that this little girl’s rights were violated and that those who worked so hard to prepare this program should receive an apology.”

Pastor Hagaman said it’s no surprise that the First Amendment debate has reached their small town.

“I don’t think there’s anywhere in the country where you can hide from these issues — with the culture changing so quickly,” he said.

G-d is no longer to be mentioned any where.  Next it will be the crosses on the churches or perhaps just destroying the churches themselves.

I wonder if these idiots would have done the same thing if the word was Allah and not G-d.  Do you think the Muslim community would have responded the way the Christian community has?

I don't think so.

If you are as angered as I am you can contact the school at:

The State Of Palestine Quiz

Here is a very easy quiz of 11 questions that if you ask of ANY nation one would be able to answer almost all 11 would be answered.

Here is the quiz:

This "Palestine Quiz" has been bouncing around the Internet for some time ...it is, of course, a reality-test challenge to anyone who has swallowed the Palestine Myth. I thought it would be fun (and timely) to dress it up as a Dry Bones cartoon.

* * *
If you know someone who actually believes that there was ever a country or state called Palestine, don't argue with them. Just slip 'em a copy of "The Dry Bones State of Palestine Quiz".

How many did you get?  I couldn't answer one!

Sheriff Joe Is At It Again!

You may remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona , who painted the jail cells pink and made the inmates wear pink prison garb. Well.........

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio

The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows.

The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78.

The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals.

I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs the jail system and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand.

He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the holidays and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the prison.
Tent City

Yup, he was re-elected last year with 83% of the vote. Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's kind of a 'Git-R-Dun' kind of Sheriff.

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO..

HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF

AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER.

THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio (in Arizona ) who created the 'Tent City Jail':

**He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.
**He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jail.
**Took away their weights.
**Cut off all but 'G' movies.
**He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects.
**Then he started chain gangs for women so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination.

**He took away cable TV until he found out there was a federal court order that required cable TV for jails, so he hooked up the cable TV again.....BUT only let in the Disney channel and the Weather channel.

**When asked why the weather channel, he replied, "So they will know how hot it's gonna be while they are working on my chain gangs."

**He cut off coffee since it has zero nutritional value.

**When the inmates complained, he told them, "This isn't The Ritz/Carlton...... If you don't like it, don't come back."

More On The Arizona Sheriff:

With temperatures being even hotter than usual in Phoenix (116 degrees just set a new record), the Associated Press reports:

About 2,000 inmates living in a barbed-wire-surrounded tent encampment at the Maricopa County jail have been given permission to strip down to their government-issued pink boxer shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 degrees inside the week before.

Many were also swathed in wet, pink towels as sweat collected on their chests and dripped down to their PINK SOCKS.

"It feels like we are in a furnace," said James Zanzot, an inmate who has lived in the TENTS for 1 year. "It's inhumane."

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates, "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too, and they have to wear full battle gear, but they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your mouths!"

Way to go, Sheriff!

Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers' money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

If you agree, pass this on.
If not, just delete it.

Hitler Should Have Finished What He Started!

Is what a caller to Jacques Fabi's late night radio talk show said and Mr. Fabi was in full agreement with the caller.
The Jewish organization B'nai Brith Canada is demanding an apology from a Quebec talk show host who sympathized on the air with anti-Semitic statements.

A woman, who called herself Maria, phoned into Jacques Fabi's late night radio talk show on 98.5 FM last week.

She started by criticizing Israel for last week's bombings. Then she began to attack Jewish people and even lauded the Holocaust.

Fabi did not interrupt the woman, but continued the conversation and sympathized with her statements.

"I'd never dare say such a thing," he said, adding, "though you probably have the right."

Fabi said that there are consequences for people who speak negatively about Jewish people, especially in Montreal where there is such a significant Jewish population.

Then he went on to sympathize with the caller.

"If you asked me if the Jewish population can sometimes be annoying, I would say yes," he said.

In total, the conversation lasted for more than four minutes.

Steven Slimovitch, a lawyer for B'nai Brith Canada, said his inbox was flooded with emails from Jewish Quebecers following the broadcast.

"She basically says that Hitler should have finished what he started," Slimovitch said.

He said that his organization sent a formal letter to the radio station complaining about the comments. B'nai Brith also sent complaints to the CRTC and the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.

Slimovitch said the general director for the radio station, Réal Germain, replied to the complaint and said that measures would be taken to deal with the situation. David Crête, spokesman for 98.5 FM, said that sanctions have been taken against Fabi. "The comments that were aired earlier this week are unacceptable ... Hosts and journalists are subject to ethical rules. If they are not met, penalties are applied," he stated.

Slimovitch is asking for Fabi to apologize on air formally.

"There's no place for comments like that on a radio station. These are unacceptable comments and they beg a formal apology on the air,' he said.

B'nai Brith has asked CBC not to post the full interview, because it would further publicize anti-Semitic comments.

Source
Now imagine if a caller said things like this about Muslims.  Does one think that a verbal apology would be enough?  No!

Mr. Fabi needs not a reprimand but to be fired immediately.  A message must be sent to the broadcast industry that anti-Semitism will not be tolerated.

UPDATE:

Mr. Fabi has not been fired, but suspended for one month without pay.
Montreal late-night radio talk show host Jacques Fabi has been suspended for one month without pay for not being tough enough with an anti-Semitic caller, CBC News reported on Monday.

In a statement, senior vice president Richard Lachance of COGECO Diffusion, which owns the station, 98.5FM, said Fabi regrets the incident.

"COGECO Diffusion and 98.5 FM do not endorse in any way these comments and deplore, without reservation, the on-air host's lack of judgment in this case," said Lachance.

A woman, who called herself Maria, phoned into Fabi's show last week.

He allowed her to continue speaking after she called the Holocaust a beautiful thing, reported CBC.

"If you asked me if the Jewish population can sometimes be annoying, I would say yes," he said.

In total, the conversation lasted for more than four minutes.

B'nai Brith Canada is demanding an on-air apology from Fabi. CBC reported that the organization sent a formal letter to the radio station complaining about the comments. B'nai Brith also sent complaints to the CRTC and the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.

Steven Slimovitch, a lawyer for B'nai Brith Canada, said his inbox was flooded with emails from Jewish Canadians following the broadcast.

"She basically says that Hitler should have finished what he started," Slimovitch said. "There's no place for comments like that on a radio station. These are unacceptable comments and they beg a formal apology on the air.”

Last week, the office of a political-science professor and outspoken defender of Israel in Montreal was vandalized with anti-Semitic slogans. The words “Heil Israel”, written in French, were found scrawled on the professor’s office door at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Greece's neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party recently set up an office in Montreal, in an effort to reach out to Greek citizens living abroad and widen its sphere of influence.

The party, which has become notorious for its blatant anti-Semitic and xenophobic rhetoric, openly displays copies of “Mein Kampf,” as well as other works on Greek racial superiority at party headquarters.

Party leader Nikos Michaloliakos has denied that ovens and gas chambers were used in Nazi concentration camps exterminate Jews during the Holocaust.

The party campaigned under the slogan “So we can rid the land of filth” and holds frequent rallies, chanting “Foreigners out of Greece!”

A slap on the wrist in this case.  Jacques Fabi needs to be fired and the station should apologize to the world wide Jewish community.  This man and that speaker was totally unacceptable in any CIVILIZED nation.

This May Be A Little Simplistic....

...But it is worth a little laugh.

Are you a Democrat, Republican, or a Southerner????

Here is a little test that will help you decide!!!!

The answer will be found by posing the following question:

You are walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.

Suddenly, a Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities,
raises the knife, and charges at you....

You are carrying a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?

THINK CAREFULLY AND THEN SCROLL DOWN:

Democrat's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
What is a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP?
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Is he really a terrorist? Am I guilty of profiling?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint & weed day.
Can we make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.
This is all so confusing!

Exhuming Arafat

Gary Fouse

"How does one exhume the Devil?"

One of the most complicated archaeological projects in the history of the Middle East is still on-going: the exhumation of Yassir Arafat's sorry remains. And why this unusual project? So the Palestinian historians and other conspiracy theorists can "prove" that the Israelis poisoned the terrorist leader. Maybe that quack professor Jeff Halper will charge that the Israelis used that famous spectral dust to take Arafat out.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/11/24/arafat-remains-said-to-be-exhumed-for-investigation-into-death/

Even if the supposition were true, I would applaud the Israelis for eliminating the old bastard.

"Earlier this month, workers began prying open the concrete-encased tomb in Arafat's former government headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah."

Really? Over here in the US, that's a one-day project at the most. Maybe they should ask the more technologically-advanced Israelis for assistance.

Or the Palestinians could do it quickly by using their specialized bombing techniques.

"Go stand over there next to that tomb, kid."

Shout Racism And Stop The Debate!

Stolen from Faultline USA

A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
***************

I've had it up to my lower eyelids with the left's tarring of everyone who does not agree with them as racists.

See, right THERE, I'm a racist!  OK.  So be it!

I am convinced that shouting "racist" is a coward's device to evade having to put up or shut-up. It allows a coward to claim to have won an argument by silencing the opposition.    Look, if you want to play in the big boy's league you gotta get rid of the thin skin -- no matter the color it happens to be.

I am a southern white male. I have been labeled a racist all my life and frankly, I have never really gotten used to it.  I learned to put up with it, and ignore it, as much as possible. But now that I have attained a, ahem, certain age, damned if I will hold my silence any longer.

Let me spell it out for you.  If you cannot debate your position without resorting to screaming "racist" then you need to look up the word "transference."  For those of you who have yet to master the use of a dictionary, transference, simply put, is when you call someone something that you, in fact, are.  Or, you accuse someone of holding and opinion, that you, in fact actually hold. (Ask any shrink.)  You are transferring your feelings onto your opposition.  Boil it all down and you get the school yard version:  "It takes one to know one!"

A very nice southern lady, one of or vaunted "steel magnolias" told me the other day, upon hearing the ladies of the Congressional Black Caucus refer to Senator John McCain (and others) racists, that she was sick of it.  She expressed her feelings ever so delicately to me by saying, "I think I'll puke!"

I wonder, do they have any idea how foolish they appear?  Or do they just not care?   It must be the latter.

Look, black folks in America are going to have to accept that they are no longer in the cat bird's seat.  They are no longer the number one minority in America.  That position is now owned by the Hispanics.  Guess which group will no receive the most attention now?  Uh-huh.

African Americans are going to have to decide to either act like grown-ups or continue to kick the sides of their cribs for attention.  The latter is going to less effective every day.

The black community in America needs better leadership.  If you really want to know who is "keeping you down" -- look to your own leadership.  Requesting a UN affiliated group to monitor US election? Indeed!  Did you think we wouldn't resent the heck out of that move?  Oh, I wonder if those monitors were monitoring Congressman  Allen West's loss in Florida?  Huh?

White America is tired, broke, and more than a little disgruntled.  We're in no mood for the childish game of name-calling.

Now, for those of you, especially in the NFM (Non-Fox Media), who swore paradise had been found when America elected its first black President -- going so far as to refer to our era as "Post Racist America" --  how foolish do you feel now, huh?

Racism is not confined to one skin color. Anyone who tries to convince you otherwise is full of it -- or has an agenda.  I vote for the latter.

Look at the so-called "poverty-pimps"  who seem to find every TV camera and microphone in the continental USA when there is a disturbance between people of the white persuasion and people of  the black persuasion. I'll refrain from giving them more publicity by referring to them by name. You already KNOW who they are.

Only a fool believes racism can be wiped out.  As long as there has been more than one race on this planet there has been racism -- and there always will be.  It is the nature of the beast.  We tend to fear and distrust those not like us.  It is a defensive mechanism. Nature wired us that way to help us survive in a cruel world.

We have worked for millenia to overcome that natural inclination   Sometimes we are successful.  But most of the time we are not.  So, we learn to live with it as best we can.  It's what civilized people do.

Now,  having said all the above, it is my opinion that as long as folks continue to point fingers and shout racism at other folks, regardless of skin color, the tension between the races will continue to peg the needle on the tension meter.

So far as America being in a Post Racism Era, that's hogwash.  Race relations in America today are not that far removed from what they were in the 1960's.  Deal with it!

As far as Obama being black, or half black, (whatever!) I could not care less.  Heck, I might even like the guy! I doubt it! But lightening does strike occasionally!  It's his politics I disagree with, his political philosophy, his socialist agenda, all that.

There is a very good chance that Mr. Obama will be the last black President America has for a very long time.  The political left has so threatened everyone else with the "racism sobriquet" that no one wants to go through that abuse again by electing another black person to that high office.

The point is -- shouting racism to get your way has a downside. It not only makes you look stupid, it also convinces people who know better, that you are. And it will come back to bite you.

The "Estrogen Brigade" of the Congressional Black Caucus would do well to consider (in future) what they are going to say BEFORE stepping before cameras and microphones -- and making fools of themselves.  As Lincoln is supposed to have said:  "It is better to remain silent and and allow people to think you a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."   Harken, ladies, harken!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

By the President of the United States of America.

A Proclamation.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty G-d. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theater of military conflict; while that theater has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defense, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High G-d, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility and Union.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, this Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the Unites States the Eighty-eighth.

By the President: Abraham Lincoln

William H. Seward,
Secretary of State

Thanksgiving has nothing to do with Pilgrims, Indians, or Turkeys.  Nor does it have anything to do with Football or Parades.  (Sorry Macy's.)  It has to do with a feast day, established by the government to thank G-d for the blessings that He has bestowed upon us.  And given enough time, the anti-Christian element of the atheist movement will get the idea of Thanksgiving out of the American lexicon.

This used to be a solemn holiday.  A day for the gathering of the family, Mother or Grandmother would cook her best foods, serve the meal on her best china, and smile that her family would be enjoying a wonderful feast.

Today it is a day for watching football on the Big Screen TV, attempt to cook a turkey, and stand outside in all kinds of weather to get the best deals at midnight.

But these guys know what the day is about:
(Click here if the video doesn't play.)

Now you can say you've seen a turkey fly

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Jackson Out!

What voters refuse to do, Jesse Jackson Jr. did himself.  Citing his "health" problems, he resigned from the US House of Representatives effective today.
Illinois Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned Wednesday from Congress amid a cloud of health and legal problems that have intensified in recent months.

The nine-term congressman left Washington unexpectedly in June, leaving fellow Capitol Hill lawmakers, his staff and voters to learn several weeks later that he was being treated for a bipolar disorder.

In Jackson’s resignation letter to House Speaker John Boehner, he cited both health problems and a federal investigation.

“For seventeen years I have given 100 percent of my time, energy and life to public service. However, over the past several months, as my health has deteriorated, my ability to serve the constituents of my district has continued to diminish,” Jackson wrote. “I am aware of the ongoing federal investigation into my activities and I am doing my best to address the situation responsibly, cooperate with the investigators, and accept responsibility for my mistakes, for they are my mistakes and mine alone.”

A Boehner spokesman confirmed the letter had been received on Capitol Hill.

Jackson, the son of civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, was easily re-elected earlier this month despite not having appeared in public since this summer.

The federal investigation is purportedly focusing on whether Jackson misused campaign money.

In addition, the House Ethics Committee has been looking into whether Jackson was involved in discussions about raising money for imprisoned former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's campaign in exchange for an appointment to President Obama's vacated Senate seat.

However, Jackson’s resignation would effectively end the House probe, though members will issue a final report.

Jacksons’ resignation means the 112th Congress that ends next month has 241 Republicans and 192 Democrats. The other vacancy is Rep. Dennis Cardoza, a California Democrat who resigned in August.

Jackson came to Congress in a special election in Dec. 1995 to succeed another embattled Illinois Democratic congressman, Rep. Mel Reynolds. He went to jail for sex misconduct chargers and resigned several months before the special election.

The 47-year-old Jackson defeated five Democrats and Four Republicans in the primary and then won the special election.

Source
Jackson never ran a campaign this last election season.  He was reelected in a "Black" district and it was his "name" that reelected him, not any work in Congress that he did for his constituents.  No he is a Jackson and thus "entitled" to whatever he wants.  The federal investigation has been focused on this use of campaign funds to buy new furniture for his home, his mistress' home, his wife's office, etc...

Now is the time to place a decent, hardworking man or woman in that seat.  Whether it is a Democrat or Republican is not the point, what the people of the 2nd district of Illinois need is a decent representative.

Ceasefire?

Today Binyamin Netanyahu effectively surrendered Israel to the Arabs.  In fact, he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.  Yes an agreement has been signed, but the rockets haven't stopped.
This is the partial text of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, as brokered by Egypt and the U.S. and reported by AFP.

"Israel shall stop all hostilities in the Gaza Strip land sea and air, including incursions and targeting of individuals.

"All Palestinian factions shall stop all hostilities from the Gaza Strip against Israel, including rocket attacks and all attacks along the border.

"Opening the crossings and facilitating the movement of people and transfer of goods and refraining from restricting residents' free movements and targeting residents in border areas. Procedures of implementation shall be dealt with after 24 hours from the start of the ceasefire.

"Other matters as may be requested shall be addressed."

"Implementation mechanism.

"Setting up the zero hour understanding to enter into effect.

"Egypt shall receive assurances from each party that the party commits to what was agreed upon.

"Each party shall commit itself not to perform any acts that would breach this understanding. In case of any observations, Egypt as a sponsor of this understanding, shall be informed to follow up."

Source
Rockets are still being fired upon Israel, but under this agreement Israel is not allowed to fire back.  In fact Israel will eventually be eliminated to be replaced by a Muslim nation called Palestine.

If you don't believe that Israel's days are numbered read this:
Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal announced in a press conference Wednesday evening that Israel "has failed in all its goals" in Operation Defensive Pillar, following the cease fire announcement.

"After eight days, God stayed their hand from the people of Gaza, and they were compelled to submit to the conditions of the resistance," Mashaal said. "Israel has failed in all its goals," he told reporters in a Cairo hotel.

Mashaal also thanked ceasefire mediator Egypt, as well as Iran, which he said "had a role in arming" Hamas during the conflict.

Arabs in Gaza took to the streets to celebrate the start of the truce deal, firing into the air and chanting victory slogans, AFP reported.

The celebrations began shortly after the 9:00 p.m. deadline for the ceasefire to begin, agreed in a deal between Israel and Hamas that was announced in Egypt.

Heavy celebratory gunfire could be heard throughout Gaza, and residents also released fireworks into the night sky, where Israeli drones could still be buzzing heard overhead.

"The resistance has triumphed," some shouted, alongside chants of "God is greatest."
No matter how many times Israel will fight back, President Barack Hussein Obama will force Israel into capitulation.  It is Obama's greatest dream to destroy Israel and give the land to his Arab friends.

What Israel needs is a leader who will stand up to Obama and tells him to go to hell.  It seems that Netanyahu is NOT that leader, nor is there any leaders coming from Labor or Kadima.  Until that leader emerges Israel's future looks bleak and a massacre of over 6 million Jews will occur when Obama forces the leadership of Israel into a disastrous "Peace Plan" that returns Israel back to the 1948 borders and divides Jerusalem once again.

This is a sad day for Israel and the Jewish people.

Terrorist Attack In Tel Aviv

A terror attack on a bus in Tel Aviv, close to IDF Headquarters that wounded 23, 2 seriously.  A bomb planted by an Arab terrorist in order to cause death, destruction and fear in the nation.

A terrorist left a bomb that exploded in a Dan bus originating in the nearby city of Bat Yam on Shaul HaMelech street in central Tel Aviv, around noon. Three people suffered serious injuries, two of whom needed surgery and are being operated on as this is written.

No one was killed, although the area teems with Israelis as it is the location of the Tel Aviv courts, banks and major businesses.

Twenty-one people have been evacuated to Icholov Hospital, just one street away, most of them with lesser injuries. Others are being treated for emotional shock.

Eyewitnesses said that that the terrorist boarded the bus, placed a suspicious package there and then fled. Others said he threw a briefcase into the middle of the bus. Police arrested one suspect but later released him when it became clear he had no connection with the attack.

Authorities said there was no advance warning of a terrorist attack. No terrorist group has yet taken responsibility for the attack, but Islamic Jihad and Hamas have threatened to strike anywhere in Israel.

TV images showed the bus with its windows blown out and its metal frame contorted from the force of the blast, in images reminiscent of scenes from previous terrorist bombings in the Second Intifada, also known as the Oslo War.

The front window was completely shattered and glass littered the floor as the wounded were loaded into ambulances by an army of medics.

The blast took place as US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Israel for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on ways to end a deadly spike in bloodshed in and around Gaza over the past week.

Netanyahu's spokesman said it was "a terrorist attack."

Gaza Arabs celebrated the attack, and Hamas officials said it was carried out in revenge for Israeli aerial bombings in Gaza that killed several members of one family.

Source
Unlike the attacks of 10 years ago, this time the murderers aren't intent on killing themselves up along with their bombs.  I guess they have run out of virgins in the Islamic Paradise.  Instead they run on, deposit their bombs and run away like the cowards they are.

This time while people were hurt, no one was killed.  But next time it could be worse.

Operation Pillar Of Defense: First IDF Death

With rumors of a ceasefire to begin, the IDF has announced the death of Cpl. Yosef Partuk, 18, of Emanuel.
An IDF soldier, Cpl. Yosef Partuk, 18, of Emanuel was killed Tuesday morning in a mortar attack in the Eshkol Regional Council area, the IDF released for publication Tuesday evening. Partuk was posthumously promoted to corporal.

The announcement came on the heels of a Gaza rocket attack that lightly injured six people after striking an apartment building in the central city of Rishon Letzion. The upper floors of the building went up in flames, according to Channel 2.

Also Tuesday evening, a person was moderately to seriously wounded when a rocket fired from Gaza struck a building in Ashkelon.

Source
If a ceasefire does begin will it bring an end to the daily rocket fire that comes from Gaza?  Don't you believe it.  It is an attempt on the part of Hamas (and Egypt) to rearm and rebuild their rocket facilities.

May Cpl. Partuk's death be the last one experienced by the IDF in this conflict.

Pro-Israel Rally in LA

Hat tip the Blaze and LA Jewish Journal

Photo- OC Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism

Yesterday, about 1,400 people turned up at the Federal Building in West LA to show their support for Israel. Naturally, a couple of hundred keffiya-clad pro-terrorist forces showed up as well. The below video is by Jay Firestone and was shown in the LA Jewish Journal. In the below video, I heard one Palestinian supporter yelling, "Hezbollah!". That is the terrorist organization that blew up the Marine barracks in Lebanon and killed over 200 Americans back in the 1980s.

The Blaze has three videos that show the clashes between the two sides on Wilshire Blvd.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/raw-video-pro-israel-rally-in-los-angeles-ends-in-violence-after-palestinian-supporters-disrupt-event/

Well, as you can see a wonderful time was had by all. In one of The Blaze videos a man is heard calling a woman a "sharmota" ("whore"-I believe the Arabic and Hebrew words are similar). In addition, a Jewish friend of mine who was there heard a Middle Eastern guy calling a Jewish woman a "Jewish pig" along with several other expletives.

This is somewhat similar to the scene in LA during the last Gaza go-around in 2009 when yours truly was out there holding an Israeli sign.

Is A Bigger War On The Horizon?

While talk of a ceasefire is on going, the US Navy has sent 3 warships to be stationed off the coast of Israel.

From Debka
USS Gunston Hall

The US has ordered three amphibious warships with 2,500 Marines aboard back to the eastern Mediterranean to remain on standby off Israel’s shore in case they are needed to evacuate American citizens. The USS Iwo Jima, the USS New York and the USS Gunston Hall, were sailing west of Gibraltar on their way to back to Norfolk, Virginia, when they were turned around.

The United States have never before evacuated American citizens from Israel. The US notice does not say whether a possible evacuation would include the US forces posted in American bases in Israel. A mass evacuation would entail a Marine shore landing in order to lead the evacuees to the amphibious craft.

USS New York

The Iwo Jima is a helicopter carrier, while the New York, one of the newest vessels of its kind in the US Navy, is a primary class of amphibious transport dock. Although a decision to evacuate nationals was defined in the CNN report as a “remote contingency,” our sources stress that it is extreme enough to be taken only when a war situation is envisaged capable of endangering Americans.

This step negates the expectation articulated widely in Israel Monday, Nov. 19, that a ceasefire with the Hamas is within reach. It rather indicates that Washington sees the situation surrounding the Gaza Strip in a far different light, more like a situation holding the threat of a general conflagration beyond the confines of the Israel-Hamas contest in Gaza.

USS Iwo Jima

According to the same report, the US military also maintains three to four ships off the coast of Israel that are capable of shooting down ballistic missiles. That deployment has stretched for some months in the face of a potential ballistic threat from Iran.
Does President Obama believe that a ground war will start soon and that Hamas "fighters" will invade Israel?  Or is he getting ready to "impose" a solution on the area.  If it is the first he is a fool and if it is the second he might be biting off more than he can chew.

Is the United States prepared for another Middle Eastern war?  One in which the President will have to round up and incarcerate a segment of the American People?

Opertion Pillar Of Defense: Hamas Rocket Commander Killed

And a car in Ofakim was hit by a rocket.

First the Assassination:
The IDF assassinated the head of Hamas' rocket program, Yahyia Byya, after a heavy barrage of rocket fire engulfed Ashdod Sunday afternoon.

The assassination was directly ordered by Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz.

Army sources say that Byya was directly responsible for the majority of rockets that have been fired on Israel.
Does anyone actually believe that Israel started to bomb Gaza because they wanted to kill civilians?  OK other than Muslims and their leftist supporters.  This man, Byya, was responsible for the rocket barrage upon Southern Israel for the last couple of years.

On a sad note a car in Ofakim was hit by a rocket:
The Negev town of Ofakim came under heavy missile fire Sunday afternoon as part of a day-long barrage launched by Gaza terrorists at southern Israel. A rocket scored a direct hit on a car, injuring one person seriously. Three others suffered light to moderate wounds. They received treatment from MDA and were evacuated to hospital.

The Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted two missiles fired from central Gaza at Tel Aviv at about 6:40 p.m. Sunday.

Earlier, at least one medium-range rocket exploded in the small town, at about 3 p.m. One woman was injured in that attack. The victim sustained a shrapnel wound in the palm of her hand when a rocket landed in her neighborhood.

Six other residents were treated at the scene for traumatic shock in the same attack by medics from the Magen David Adom emergency medical service.

At about the same time, the Eshkol Regional Council district also came under rocket fire, with two shorter-range Qassam rockets exploding in the area.

No one was physically injured in that attack, officials reported.

IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz has ordered the army to continue striking Hamas terrorist targets in Gaza, and to hit more frequently, the IDF Spokesperson announced Sunday afternoon. The government has authorized Operation Pillar of Defense to move to the next level.

Earlier in the day, the IDF seized control of the Hamas radio airwaves to deliver a message to the population. “Hamas is playing with fire, and is putting your lives in danger for no purpose,” the message stated. “The Israel Defense Forces is moving to the next stage.”
Let prayers be said for those recovering from the attack.  And thank G-d for the Iron Dome system that prevents over 85% of the rockets from hitting Israel.

There are rumors of a cease-fire being bantered about.  There is an Israeli envoy in Egypt but Hamas' conditions are unacceptable.  They pledge not to stop attacks and Israel has to end the "siege" and stop all targeted assassinations.  Hamas and the people of Gaza are very lucky that Israel is a "civilized" nation and not a Muslim nation.  Otherwise they would be subjected to a massacre just like the massacres Bashar al-Assad of Syria has committed upon his people.  Funny how the Muslims don't take to the streets screaming about his murders.

Meanwhile in San Francisco- The Usual Madness

Gary Fouse

Hat tip Pro Israel Bay Bloggers

As the fighting escalates in the Middle East, the usual pro-Palestinian forces and their useful idiot American supporters have turned out in San Francisco to condemn Israel. Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers has two useful links with videos. Of course, anti-Semitism is never far below the surface as one woman screams, "F- You, Jew". In the 2nd link, the crowd is chanting, "Zionist scum, your time has come."

http://proisraelbaybloggers.blogspot.com/2012/11/how-dare-jews-fight-back-san-francisco.html

http://proisraelbaybloggers.blogspot.com/2012/11/zionist-scum-your-time-has-come.html

This, of course, is just like the last go-around in Gaza when mostly Arab crowds in LA, San Francisco and Ft Lauderdale were crying, "Jews-back to the ovens", "Hitler rest in peace", and "Jews as fossil fuel". It is foul and disgusting and has no place in our country.

One hardly knows what to say when we hear these words in the streets of American cities directed toward our own Jewish citizens.

On second thought, I do know what to say.

Israel ad2

Hu Yivarech

A song for the IDF

Hu Yivarech - A Song for the IDF Soldiers, By DOV. As they defend the rights of the Jewish people within our homeland, we must always keep the brave men and women of the IDF in our hearts and minds. This song, a prayer for their safety, and the well being of all mankind, should serve to inspire each of us to give them support and remain strong.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Forces, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our God, from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May the Almighty cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them.
May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighters from every trouble and distress
and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under our soldiers’ sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory.
And may there be fulfilled for them the verse:

For it is the Lord your God, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
Now let us respond: Amen.

Pray for the men of the IDF.  Pray for the rockets to stop.  Pray for Peace.

The UC Irvine Divestiture Resolution: Where Are the Jewish Organizations?

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

Hat tip Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism

My friends at the Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism have an interesting take on this week's vote by the UC Irvine student government to pass a resolution against Israel. After repeated attempts by several UC campuses that have failed, UC Irvine is the first to succeed.

http://octaskforce.wordpress.com/2012/11/14/members-of-jewish-student-groups-on-campus-could-not-be-reached-wednesday-afternoon/

Let me offer my opinion on why they are not available to respond and comment. It is because this represents a failure of their involvement at UCI in the face of the annual hate fests against Israel brought to us by the Muslim Student Union and their brothers and sisters in Students for Justice in Palestine.

I know from first-hand experience how Jewish organizations like Hillel, the Jewish Federation of Orange County, and the Anti-Defamation League have failed to step up to the plate and fight this insidious movement by campus activists and left-wing professors to make Israel the number one issue on the UCI campus, which in turn leads to anti-Jewish tensions. I have been personally assured by Hillel and a OC Jewish Federation rep that the much-heralded Olive Tree Initiative had made the situation better at UCI.

Horse feathers!

Now that UCI has made its mark, so to speak, all the protestations by the above Jewish groups ring hollow. As I have said all along, they are too embedded with the university suits to speak out. They compromised themselves long ago.

It is called Conflict of Interest.

It is a conflict of interest when these clowns crack down on Jewish students who speak out on the anti-Semitism that has resulted from the Palestinian-led drive to demonize Israel. "There is no anti-Semitism on the UCI campus", I have been told by these clowns. "The university is doing a great job", I have been told by these clowns. "The Olive Tree Initiative is improving the situation", I have been told by these clowns.

Horse feathers!

It is a conflict of interest when the OC Jewish Federation and Hillel publicly demonize a community member who dared question the Olive Tree Initiative using hand-picked stooge rabbis to write articles criticizing the community member.

Conflict of interest? That is something that exists when certain Jewish organizations have a vested interest in not seeing Jewish students choose another university to study at because of UCI's reputation for anti-Jewish rhetoric (Cynthia McKinney, Amir Abdel Malik Ali, Mohammed al Asi, Abdul Alim Musa et al).

The worst offender, of course, is the OC Jewish Federation, which funds the Rose Project, which has funded Jewish students' travel to the Middle East on the Olive Tree Initiative so they can come back converted to the Palestinian cause and join Students for Justice in Palestine.

As I always say, 99% of the students at UCI are not involved with this nonsense. Yet, a small minority of activists, combined with a few left-wing activist professors, a weak administration that tolerates anti-Semitism, I guess, in the name of diversity, have manged to bring a terrible reputation to UCI while so-called Jewish advocacy groups sit on their hands.

Now for the good news. This is all symbolic. From what I understand, the head of the student government can shut this down. Even if he or she doesn't, the university is under no obligation to follow the resolution. If you believe previous statements by UC and UCI officials, they will ignore it.

I guess. Who the Hell knows?

OPERATION PILLAR OF DEFENSE: Rocket Falls Near Tel Aviv, IDF Massing Armor

From just terrorizing Southern Israel, Hamas is now terrorizing the suburbs of Tel Aviv.  And what is Israel doing in response?  The IDF is massing its armor along the Gaza border.
Sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and residents were told to head for shelter Thursday evening. An explosion was reportedly heard. Magen David Adom said that there were no casualties. Voice of Israel public radio said that the rocket is believed to have struck in a southern suburb of Tel Aviv, but Home Front Defense Minister Avi Dichter said that the rocket apparently fell into the sea near Bat Yam.

Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich gave a conflicting account and said that a missile fell into the sea.

The IDF is amassing ground forces near Gaza and preparing for a possible assault. Interior Minister Eli Yishai (Shas) told Voice of Israel that Gaza is in for an "unprecedented attack."

Three sirens were also sounded in Be'er Sheva a few minutes before 7:00 p.m. and Magen David Adom said that a salvo of rockets was fired at the city. The Iron Dome system reportedly succeeded in intercepting five rockets.

A rocket fired from Gaza on Thursday struck Rishon Letzion, some 15 kilometers (nine miles) south of Tel Aviv, but there were no injuries or damage.

This is the furthest north Gaza terrorists have been able to strike since Operation Defensive Pillar began Wednesday.

Experts said it was most likely an Iranian-built Fajr 5 from Hamas's arsenal, which have a range of up to 75 kilometers (46 miles).

"There was a rocket that hit in an open field in the Rishon Letzion area. There were no injuries or damage," an army spokeswoman said. The city, with a population of some 228,000, lies about 50 kilometers (30 miles) north of Gaza. It borders on the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan zone.

Source
I wonder how the leftists in Tel Aviv now think of the rocket attacks.  For years the traitorous group PEACE NOW has screamed for appeasement as the majority of them live in Tel Aviv and are not subjected to rocket fire, until now.

Again Hamas fires its rockets from civilian areas, not caring if these Human Shields get hurt or killed.  In fact, Hamas is counting on civilian casualties to show the world how horrible the Israelis are.  Remember that when told that Israel is purposely targeting civilians.

Operation Pillar Of Defense: Three Killed, Infants and Children Wounded UPDATED

WARNING:  GRAPHIC PICTURES

It was bound to happen, but the news is no less upsetting to everyone.  3 people have been killed, a married couple in their 30's and a single man in his 20's.  Their names are being withheld until the families are notified.  And 7 others have been wounded, including 2 infants.  (One is 8 months old.)
Three people were killed as a result of the Grad rocket attack on Kiryat Malachi Thursday morning. The three were killed during or within minutes of the attack, after efforts to save them failed.

Six others were injured, including two infants, one of them eight months old. An additional victim, a four year old boy, was taken to Tel Hashomer hospital in central Israel for treatment. along with his father. The boy was in serious condition, and the father in moderate condition. Altogether, seven people were injured in the Kiryat Malachi attack. Six others were treated for shock in the attack.

The three killed were a married couple in their 30s, and an individual in his 20s.

The victims were killed and injured when a Grad rocket hit an apartment building in Kiryat Malachi. The dead were among a large group that had taken refuge in an old building that suffered a direct hit from a Grad rocket. Rescue teams were trying to remove victims of the attack from the rubble, and were preparing for the possibility of more casualties, Magen David Adom officials said.

At around noon, several rockets were fired at Sderot, with one scoring a direct hit on a home. Miraculously, no one was injured in that attack, but that house sustained heavy danger. At least one rocket fell near a large gas installation. Rockets hit homes in Kiryat Gat and Ashdod. One person was lightly injured in the Ashdod attack. Also in Ashdod, a rocket destroyed two containers at Ashdod Port.

Another Grad rocket was fired at Kiryat Malachi at about 10:30 AM Israel time. Reports said that an Iron Dome missile blasted the rocket in the air above the city, before it could land and explode. Police urged residents to remain indoors and under cover, even in the event that an Iron Dome missile prevents an attack, because shrapnel from the destroyed missile falling to the ground could still injure people. At least one person in Ashdod was injured when they were struck by shrapnel from a rocket that was destroyed by an Iron Dome missile.

A heavy barrage of Grad and Katyusha rockets was fired at the main population centers in southern Israel Thursday morning. Red Alert warnings were heard in Ashdod, Ashkelon, Kiryat Malachi, Beersheva, and Ofakim. Speaking live from Beersheva at around 8:00 AM Israel time, Israel Radio's correspondent counted at least a dozen missiles hitting in the area of the city. The IDF said that several of the rockets fired at Ashdod and Ashkelon were intercepted by the Iron Dome rocket interception system.

IDF officials expected the barrage to continue throughout Thursday morning, as Gazans prepare to bury Ahmed Jaabari, commander of Hamas's "military" terror wing, who was eliminated Wednesday night, takes place. The IDF was on alert throughout the country, saying that terror activity was likely to increase, with possible rioting by Arabs in PA controlled areas of Judea and Samaria, and a strong likelihood that terrorists would attempt to kidnap IDF soldiers or Israeli civilians. Speaking to Israel Radio, Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich said that the rocket fire would most likely get worse as the day went on, as the funeral for Jaabari progressed.

There was a very strong likelihood that Hamas would try to fire a missile at Tel Aviv or another city in the center of the country, security officials said, in order to score a decisive blow against Israel in revenge for the elimination of Jaabari.

The IDF eliminated three Hamas terrorists early Thursday, Israel Radio said, as Gaza Arab terrorists continued to hammer Israeli towns and villages with rockets. Several rockets were fired at the Be'ersheva and Ofakim areas on Thursday morning. The three were members of Hamas' military wing, the IDF said. Since midnight Wednesday, about 30 rockets were fired at Israeli targets, for a total of over 110 since the beginning of the Pillar of Defense operation Wednesday night.

3 people couldn't make it to the shelter in time.  They only had 20 seconds and it was not enough time.  Many people are living in their shelters.  Why bother even trying to run to the shelter.

The people of Israel stand behind the IDF.  The men and women who serve are their sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters.  They are their family members.  Yet the world claims that they are murderers, Nazis.  That is because their targets hide behind civilians.  And by using fake videos of so-called injured victims, the world cries for the fake victims while Jews bleed and die.
Barely one day into the fighting in Hamas-run Gaza, the locals are hard at work playing the victim for the world's press.

Footage from the BBC captured by watchdog group Honest Reporting shows a heavy man lying on the ground and being carried away by residents, apparently after being injured by an Israeli attack.

Moments later, that same man again fills the frame, except he is walking about and obviously unhurt.

The widespread staging of such victim situations is a favored tactic of Arabs fighting Israel and has come to be known as "Pallywood." Because Israel is stronger militarily, the Arabs cling to the underdog image of poor refugees under occupation and siege by evil Israelis, thus eliciting sympathy.

Notice the lack of Blood or Bleeding.  And why do the Fakistinians need to fake an injured man?  That is because the IAF, who is leading the fight right now, has taken great care NOT to hurt civilians.  Even though Hamas fires rockets from civilian homes, schools, mosques and hospitals.

Pray for the IDF and the people of Israel.

UPDATE:  The names of the dead have been released.  They are:

Ahron Smalga (In his 40s) Father of the 8 month old baby girl who was wounded.
Mirah Scharf (25) and unborn child.
Yitzchak Amselam (22)
