In Memory Staff Sergeant Moshe Naftali, 22

Today's terror attack on Israel so far has 6 civilian deaths and 1 soldier.  The IDF has already notified the family of Staff Sergeant Moshe Naftali.
Staff Sergeant Moshe Naftali, 22 years old from Ofra, was killed during a combined terrorist attack in southern Israel today, Thursday August 18th 2011 around noon.

Naftali was killed as a result of a terrorist attack on his force while racing to assist a civilian bus that was fired upon by terrorists.

Crossfire ensued between the force and the cell of terrorists as the soldiers approached, sustaining withering fire.

According to miliatry sources Naftali was a member of the elite Golani Brigade.

Naftali's family was notified of his death before the information was released by the IDF censor.

"Moshe fought for Israel," his mother Shula said. "He believed in Israel and did everything from faith. He did everything with dedication and perseverence. We are proud of him."

Naftali was drafted after a year of pre-military studies in the Golan Heights. Prior to that he attended a yeshivah high school in Beit El.

May his family find comfort from their sorrows as the whole nation mourns with them.  May his memory be avenged.
