Excellent piece of music to accompany nature's beauty...

It brought back memories of the most spectacular sunrise in my lifetime. Back in the late 70's while traveling west somewhere in middle of the Mojave Desert and just before sunrise the the scene in my rear-view mirror was like a fire spreading across the horizon.
I just had to stop the car...and I did! Stepping out to see the sky so full of flame-like streaks mixed with orange, gold, and yellows was surely the hand of God mixing colors on His palette.
When conditions are right the arch of the earth's atmosphere combined with the fine dust blown from the desert floor increases both the magnification and and the color spectrum...truly fantastic!

Thanks for the memories...

Findalis, that is a magnificent video and such beautiful views of the GC. It is my favorite spot on earth on visit.

Since I live only about 1-1/2 days drive away, I have been there numerous times. I'm not much of adventurer, so I have not gone into the Canyon. I have watched one awesome sunrise (now two).

The moment I remember the most is after sunset, sitting right on the southern rim. The moon was up but as you looked straight ahead and down, there was nothing but the blackest blackness I have ever seen. The moon was not capable of illuminating anything.

It looked as through the earth had fallen away ahead of me. I'll never forget the feeling.

Thanks for the music and the incredible view, and thank you so much for posting while I was away. Your 'Sermon' was just excellent.
