My Mom has been gone nine years this month and not one day EVER goes by where I do not miss and think about her. Beyond giving me life, she was an incredibly intelligent and compassionate lady. She always put others first and after her family it was those who were poor, the ones who had fallen through the cracks, and she would have been very upset by the ever increasing number of poor and those who have lost everything, the fallout from the realities of today.
Once Mom is gone, as mentioned those hugs will have to wait for a very long time.
