It Could Have Been A Disaster

This weekend members of the Israeli Police discovered and disarmed a car bomb parked outside the Haifa Cinemall. The stolen vehicle was packed with 100 kg (220 lbs) of explosives and parked next to support columns in the parking underground. It was scheduled to go off during peak shopping hours.

Hidden in the trunk of a stolen Subaru, parked near a number of supporting columns holding up a part of the city's Lev Hamifratz mall, were one hundred kilograms of explosives.

The explosives were packed into a number of bombs, and mixed with metal ball bearings to maximize the impact of the blast. The terrorists had hoped to detonate all 100 kilograms of the explosives simultaneously.

Nearby, blissfully unaware shoppers and movie-goers, many of them families with young children and teenagers, were exiting their parked vehicles and entering the shopping center.

A chilling scenario was sketched out by a police source on Sunday, who said that the attackers could have been aiming to use their car bomb to set other parked vehicles on fire, resulting in a chain reaction of exploding fuel tanks.

"Had the car bomb exploded, the majority of the cars in the parking lot would have gone up in flames. The gas in them could have exploded. This would have been a major terrorist attack," the source said.

The terrorists took advantage of the fact that the mall's outdoor parking lot does not require vehicles to undergo security checks, a procedure which has now been called into question, as Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and police investigators launch a covert operation to track down the terror cell behind the attack.

We have to expect to see more and more of these attack or attempts as the United States under the leadership of Hussein Obama gets closer and closer to severing links with Israel. All ready the signs are there. The nearly $1 billion tax payer dollars to be given to Hamas. The demonization of Israel and Jews not only in Europe, but also in the United States by political leaders, so-called celebrities and the media. It will not take much for Hussein Obama to come out and totally dissolve all ties with Israel.

Barack Hussein Obama was born and raised as a Muslim. Taught his lessons in morals by a Muslim father and step-father, and was raised as almost all Muslim children are raised, to hate all Jews and seek to destroy them.

Today Israel is letting out a collective sigh of relief. Tomorrow Israel may not be.
