When attending a pro-Gay Marriage Rally, Don't Bring a Cross

Why is it that some groups today believe that if you cause violence and destruction to others you will gain what you want?

In the past rioting and violence has only brought about the negative effect on communities that engaged in this behavior. But today it seems that Gay and Lesbian groups believe that if they riot and attack people, they will gain the overturning of Proposition 8.
An elderly woman who attended a gay rights protest carrying a cross to voice her support of the new California ban on gay marriage says she was attacked by demonstrators and now may press charges.

Palm Springs Police Department spokesman Sgt. Mitch Spike told FOXNews.com no arrests had been made as of Thursday evening and added that victim Phyllis Burgess still is deciding whether she'll press assault charges.

Carrying a large, foam cross, Burgess, 69, showed up at a rally last Friday against Proposition 8, the ban on same-sex marriage approved this month by California voters.

She was there to show her belief in traditional marriage, she said.

Within minutes, however, angry protesters swarmed around the Palm Springs resident, yanked the cross from her hands and trampled on it, as seen in a video of the incident posted on YouTube.

Full Story
Every person has a right to their opinion and the right to make their voice heard in protest. What a person or group doesn not have is the right to force their beliefs and opinions on another with violence or the threat of violence.

This behavior goes against the rights that our founding fathers had instilled in our Constitution. And I hope that the person or persons responsible for this attack will be prosecuted under the full extent of the law.

Some things I've noticed during this election cycle,

Liberals always are more emotional than factual.

Liberals support freedom of speech if you say exactly what they are saying.

Liberals will tell you to think of new ideas and for yourself, unless you think differently from them.

Liberals value their individuality, not even realizing they are all exactly alike and fearful of anyone that is different than themselves.

These photos are eerily reminiscent of the Brown Shirts who used the same tactics to intimidate anyone who opposed Adolf Hitler. If this is what the agenda of "tolerance" means, then I ask why anyone owes them what they are unwilling to give to others? This is totalitarianism, not tolerance.
