Honest BDS Activist Lives Off Grid, Forages, Avoids Medicine

If you see a BDS activist using one of these, gently highlight the hypocrisy.

Somewhere near Beach Lake, Pennsylvania, February 15 – Oscar Thorpe is a rare specimen indeed: a political activist who completely practices what he preaches. In his case, his adherence to the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement against Israel has led him to renounce all computer and telecommunications technology and advanced medical care.

Unlike the leaders of the BDS movement, the 42-year-old former marketing consultant does not own a mobile device, as the technology necessary to manufacture and use one depends heavily on Israeli-engineered or Israeli-produced components. The same holds true for a computer of any sort, which Thorpe cannot use because he would have to connect it to a power source, and the power company employs Israeli computing technology to deliver its product to customers.

“I used to own a Tandy, which would be great for my purposes, since it uses nothing Israeli,” said Thorpe. “But it’s both obsolete and kind of useless for trying to stay in contact.”

In contrast, Omar Barghouti, a leader of the BDS movement, earned his philosophy degree at none other than Tel Aviv University. Thorpe disdainfully points out that Barghouti specifically studied ethics.
Unable to maintain consistent communications with his colleagues in the BDS movement, Thorpe found out only this week about the international scuffle over Scarlett Johansson, Oxfam, and SodaStream, but was unable to fully grasp the details, since he has no idea what SodaStream means or who the actress is. He heard mention of the news item on his old transistor radio, which can be used and powered by Blessedly Israel-free AA batteries.

“I haven’t seen the inside of a movie theater since, oh, maybe 2001,” said Thorpe. “I know what Oxfam is because they’ve been around a long time and I’ve heard of them, but ‘Scarlett Johansson’ to me is just a name. What is she, Swedish?” he wondered, unaware of Ms. Johansson’s Jewish American status. Thorpe could find out more, but the public libraries in the area – in both nearby Honesdale and slightly more distant Hawley – make heavy use of Israeli technology in the computers that manage their collections.

The New Hampshire native has fashioned a serviceable crossbow that he uses to hunt rabbit, deer, and other game, and lives in an abandoned stone hut overlooking a man-made lake. “I used to go fishing there, but then I found out there’s a Zionist summer camp on the other side, I couldn’t in good conscience benefit from their maintenance of the lake,” he explained, referring to Camp Moshava, which is run by the Tel-Aviv-headquartered religious Zionist youth movement Bnei Akiva.

Despite the hardships, Thorpe eschews all medical care except for basic first aid, since Israeli pharmaceutical companies produce vast amounts of the generic drugs employed by hospitals and health clinics all over the world. “Simply making an appointment to go see a doctor would mean endorsing their use of Israeli technology in the clinic management software, or the hardware in the terminals themselves,” said Thorpe. “And forget about all the imaging technology to detect abnormalities or growths.”

Thorpe hopes his principled stand will inspire others to be more consistent in their activism. “There’s nothing I’d like to see more than all my fellow BDS advocates dying of some treatable disease,” said Thorpe.

Today is HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.  The day Jews around the world stop and remember those who were murdered by the Nazis and their allies.  6 million+ Jews murdered, 3 million Soviet POWs murdered, 2 million Poles murdered, 1.5 million Romani (Gypsies) murdered, 250,000 Disabled persons murdered, 15,000 Homosexuals murdered.  A great blood shed.  An orgy of death.  Over 12,765,000 men, women and children murdered by men and women who called themselves Christians.

Holocaust Survivor: Felicia Fuksman

Felicia Fuksman was born in Lodz, Poland. She lived with her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Felicia's father was a tailor. The family was very poor. Felicia was studying to be a nurse when the Germans attacked Poland. Her father and brother Simon were seized on the street and taken for labor. They weren't seen again. Felicia worked in the ghetto as a "nurse" in a fur factory, where she received extra food. Her older sister Rachel died of tuberculosis. Her younger sister Esther froze to death begging for food on the street. In August 1944, Felicia was deported to Ravensbrück concentration camp and, several months later, to a Nazi labor camp at Wittenberge, Germany. Throughout her long ordeal, Felicia was helped and inspired by her friend Bronia Lewkowitz. After the war, Felicia returned to her family's apartment in Lodz and was cruelly rebuffed by a Polish woman, the new occupant. Felicia was the only one in her family who survived. In 1950, she immigrated to New Orleans where she met Max Fuksman, a fellow survivor from Lodz. They married and had three daughters and 5 grandchildren. Max Fuksman died in a car accident on April 25th, 1982. Felicia Fuksman passed away on October 17th, 2012.

The Holocaust didn't happen in a vacuum.  People who lived in the nearby towns could not say they didn't know.  They could see the people, smell the burning flesh and hear the noise.  They were NOT innocent bystanders.  Many were even happy that it was happening.

The hatred that inspired the Holocaust has not died.  In fact it is stronger than ever and growing in the world.  Jews are afraid to walk the streets of European cities wearing the signs of their faith without being assaulted.  Politicians in many European countries are telling Jews to either deal with it or leave.  And in Universities not only in Europe but in the United States, it is open season on Jews.  It is permitted to abuse, assault and discriminate against Jews.  The excuse for all of this is anti-Israeli sentiment.   But in fact that is a fancy name for the old hatred:  ANTI-SEMITISM.

It is only a matter of time before Jews are banned from US Universities, driven out of Europe for good, or murdered by the riled up masses.  The old hatred has not died, it is stronger than ever among the Liberal Elites who wish to kill the Jew for the "sins" of their brethren in Israel.

Why Does Obama Hate Israel?

Barack Hussein Obama is the most anti-Israel, anti-Semitic US President in modern history.  This was first noticed in his speech in Cairo, his treatment of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, his call for Israel to go back to the 1949 borders, the removal of Jerusalem from Israel and the call to cut the city in 2, not meeting with Netanyahu but going on Letterman, and now this:

What then of Israel? Alone in this wilderness of vile hatred and violence, surrounded by the most vile of extremism that would like nothing better than to snuff it out of existence. Netanyahu has been treated by this Obama regime as a dog. Kicked and cornered, rebuked and reprimanded. And now, on the eve of action, the Man Calling Himself Obama, does so yet again with even more sinister intent. You have likely read the reports of screaming matches between officials of both governments. Those are most certainly true, and tell less than the whole regarding just how fractured the relationship has been. But what of Netanyahu and Obama themselves? Do you recall something I hinted at before – how Obama himself demanded of Israel? How this false president threatened the only true ally America has in that troubled part of the world? Since then you have often asked what it was that was told to the Prime Minister. For my own reasons, both personal and professional, I did not comply with your requests.

I will do so now. And please note, what I tell you is absolutely accurate. This information was delivered to me from sources at the highest levels of the Israeli government.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, when last at the White House and during an extended period of private conversation with “Obama”, implored the president to be far more forceful in his public comments regarding the United States’ devotion to Israel’s safety and protection and its very right to exist. Netanyahu warned the president that his administration’s half-hearted gestures of friendship to Israel were in fact emboldening the more radicalized elements in the Middle East and thus endangering not only Israeli lives, but the lives of everyone in that part of the world. And then he also remarked this condition would further endanger American citizens within the United States as well, that the capitulation policies of the American government in the 1990s were instrumental in forming the attack of September 11th, 2001.

Obama’s reaction to these words were, “agitation followed by derision”. The president then leaned toward the Prime Minister and said:

“You have just as much blood on your hands as they do. They got a right to exist as well. Everybody does. And I don’t want this thing…this back and forth…you and them…I don’t want this turning into an election issue for me, right? I can’t be telling those people how to treat your country any more than you want me telling you how to treat them, right? You see where I’m at in this?

Don’t you turn this into something that might take away Jewish votes for me. That’s what you got going here – I know what you’re up to. Don’t do it. This thing…Iran…don’t try…don’t hurt me politically with it. You need us. We don’t need you.”

Now I must put that statement by Obama further into context to ensure you realize the stunning implications of what he was communicating to the Israeli Prime Minister. Netanyahu had spent considerable effort attempting to detail to the Obama what Israeli intelligence had gathered regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities. He had also warned of the very real and serious threat of nuclear materials being handed over to terrorists both capable and willing of detonation in other parts of the world, including inside the United States. The Prime Minister indicated his own government was unwilling to take that risk, and was preparing to take very specific measures to try and ensure Iran was not given that option to do so. And to that Obama, this man so tragically elected president, to that he replied to Netanyahu to not make this an election issue for him? To not make it something that might take away Jewish votes from him?

Imagine you are sitting in a room with a man who oversees the most powerful military in the world. The most powerful military in the history of humankind. And you are communicating earnestly, based upon knowledge you have from your own considerable intelligence sources, that not only is the Middle East in danger, but citizens living inside the United States as well, and these concerns are met with a self-serving plea not to harm an election. To in essence, simply shut up about it so as to not influence voters? How horrifying that must have been for a man so honorable as Benjamin Netanyahu. How frightening to know that the government of the United States was now being represented by the likes of “Obama” and Iranian-born Valerie Jarrett, two creatures so detached from the rich and proud history of the United States, who view that history with disdain and a desire to punish.

Just step back for a moment and think.  What American President turns to the head of a most treasured ally, an ally who always backed American policy, and told him to F**k Off.  And he wants Israel to hold their hand?




If you are Jewish or a supporter of Israel how can you in good conscience vote for Obama, vote for a party that practically started to sing the Horst Wessel.  It will be sung soon by them if Obama is re-elected.

Dear G-d, please don’t curse us with another 4 years of Obama. I beg of you!
