a parking ticket. The prima donna fires up his engine and runs over the
cop's foot. The cop pulls the door open, pulls the arrogant shmuck out
of the car and arrests him. The prince lies in the street for what
appears to be quite a while until a paddy wagon comes to take him. The
car gets driven away by the prince's blonde girl friend, who is wearing
hot pants that would get her stoned in Saudi Arabia.
Yes ladies and gentlemen all you have to do is "Pledge" to give up eating meat on Mondays. Right now it is voluntary but give these assholes enough time and it will be mandatory with stiff fines.
From the City Council that declared war on trans-fats and fast-food restaurants comes the latest way to make residents feel, well, guilty about what they eat.
The Los Angeles council, in a 14-0 vote on Friday, adopted a resolution urging residents to adopt a personal pledge to have a "meatless Monday."
While it does not have the force of law and police will not be checking what you brought to work for lunch, city officials said they hope it will start a trend, make residents healthier and reduce the impact on the environment.
"This follows the `good food' agenda we recently adopted supporting local, sustainable food choices," said Councilwoman Jan Perry, who has called for a ban on new fast-food restaurants in South Los Angeles to fight obesity.
"We can reduce saturated fats and reduce the risk of heart disease by 19 percent," Perry said. "While this is a symbolic gesture, it is asking people to think about the food choices they make. Eating less meat can reverse some of our nation's most common illnesses."
Councilman Ed Reyes, who joined with Perry in proposing the resolution, said one of his sons has been diagnosed with diabetes.
"The issue is how does a local municipality engage in this and how do we create change," Reyes said. "If we do it one plate at time, one meal, one day, we are ratcheting down the impact on our environment. We start with one day a week and then, who knows, maybe we can change our habits for a lifetime."
The proposal was developed by the Food Policy Council, which has a goal of "creating more and better food jobs" and encouraging food companies and small food enterprises as part of a bigger agenda to encourage healthy foods in the city.
Los Angeles has many problems. Crime, Drugs, Gangs, Failing Schools. But they are waging war on meat. Why? Because they can draw attention away from every other problem they have. They are heading for bankruptcy and all they can do is deny their citizens the joy of eating the foods they love.
I am sure that Michelle Obama will talk her husband into making this a national law.
Along side the murders of Byrd and Melanie Billings in Pensacola, roils a web of deception that is close to unbelievable. All the answers are not yet known, but details are slowly becoming known – and some pertinent details may date back to December 2007. I will be following and posting on the murders, and the Pensacola auto and used-auto industry and try to make some sense out of it. For now, it may be just Pensacola, but in the future it could be Cincinnati, or Ft. Worth or…just pick a town anywhere. Is it possible greedy and corrupt prosecutors can ruin lives, steal and destroy documents, ignore evidence, and jail innocents? I’m on the trail to see if this is happening in the Pensacola area. Here are my first ideas in a possible tie to the Billings’ murders and the attempted “hit” on another Pensacola dealer, Mark Turner:
The murders of Byrd “Bud” Billings and his wife Melanie have tentacles reaching deep into Pensacola, Florida, surrounding communities and the massive web of the auto industry. Enter another name, Mark Turner, who was also in the auto industry, in the Pensacola area and knew Bud Billings.
Mark Turner knew Bud Billings, had done business with him in the auto industry, and the two may have one more thing in common: the Billings’ accused killer, Leonard Patrick Poff Gonzalez, Jr. Turner believes Gonzalez tried to kill him in 2007, and he believes it was intended to be a hit directed withing the auto industry. Here’s the story:
On December 16, 2007, Turner said someone tried to break into his Gulf Breeze home. His wife and children were home at the time. Mrs. Turner heard the garage door open and thought someone was in the garage. Mark, armed with a glass bottle, greeted the intruder at the door leading from his house into his garage. As Turner jerked the door open, the intruder was standing directly in front of him and his wife. He was startled and ran for his car – which was pointed out of the driveway, still running and had the driver’s door standing wide open. The truck was a blue Ford Explorer.
Turner chased the man to the truck and as the intruder ran, he was yelling “wrong house!” Turner hit the truck window with the bottle, but the bottle broke, not the truck window. The intruder got away. He said he got a good look at the man – for two or three minutes. He knew he would never forget the face.
Turner filed a police report but had no idea “who this clean cut white man was,” until Leonard Patrick Poff Gonzalez, Jr.’s photo flashed on the television in connection with the Billings murders.
That is the first part of this story. There is nothing to prove that Gonzalez is the same man that tried to break into Turner’s home, but Mr. and Mrs. Turner both believe it is definitely the same man, and he believes that Gonzalez was there to kill him.
Here’s more of the story:
Mark Turner is a former car wholesaler. He said Bud Billings was a “jolly fellow” and was “fun to run into in the business.” The two met at Pete Moore Chevrolet.
According to Turner, this is the hierarchy of their local auto conglomerate: there is Pete Moore, the owner; under Moore is Rick Hamilton, the General Manager. Hamilton works for Moore. Both Mark Turner and Bud Billings worked for Pete Moore, but worked through Rick Hamilton. According to Turner, Hamilton’s job is to make certain that Pete Moore makes money distributing cars.
Another player is Henry Cab Tice, known as Cab. Cab is currently under arrest for Grand Theft in a civil suit between Bud Billing and Cab Tice. Tice owned Billings money and the lawsuit was working its way through the courts when Billings died.
Tice worked for Billings. Turner assumes that Cab Tice “sold the cars in Mexico.” Billings evidently had not received money for the cars Tice sold – thus the lawsuit. There is more coming on the relationship between Billings and Tice.
Pete Moore’s “comptroller,” Roxanne,” told Pete that “Cabs cars have not been paid for.” Moore goes to Rick Hamilton, Rick Hamilton goes to Bud Billings because Billings “backs” or guarantees payment for the cars Tice gets from Moore.
Billings tells Hamilton that Cab sold the cars in Mexico but Billings has not been able to get the money out of Cab. Hamilton says he can’t wait any longer. He has to get the money to Pete Moore, so Hamilton gives Billings a loan and Billings pays Pete Moore to close the debt. This leaves Cab Tice owing Billings, and Billings owing Hamilton.
Mark Turner says there is a long history of similar transactions within the industry:
Through the years, anytime we got into a tight [situation] in paying Moore, we could get the money from Rick [Hamilton]. Rick [Hamilton] charged me 12% annually. There was no paperwork, our deal was a handshake.
Turner gives this example of how Billings might have run his business and how he might have interacted with Rick Hamilton:
If a car cost $10,000 and BB [Bud Billings] had 5 car lots with 50 cars on them each, then that would be $2.5 Million. So if a dealer wanted to borrow $100,000 from WorldCo/[Bud Billings' loan company] but Billings’ cash flow was down, he would just borrow it from Rick [Hamilton].
Turner addresses rumors that Billings owned money to Moore and Hamilton and may have been murdered for that reason, which some think might have been a contract murder…and maybe ordered by someone in the industry:
Now to the fact of the money in the safe. I was told $160,000 wouldn’t make a dent in what was owed to Rick and Moore at the time of the Billings Killings.
Billings became partners with the dealers or have them borrow from his finance companies/car lots. Cab would take them to Alabama to order duplicate titles and take the cars into Mexico.
Remember, clearly I am not telling you this is what happened with the business between BB, Cab, Rick and Moore. I am telling you that this is what I was told happened.
I am not saying who killed who. I am telling you that Bud Billings and I [Mark Turner] had a relationship with more than one of the same lenders. We were in the same business, distributing cars for a profit. There are $36 Million reasons why those involved would want me dead. I don’t know how many reasons those involved had against Bud Billings.
Summarizing Mark Turner’s position in this part of the story, Mr. Turner filed a lawsuit against Pete Moore for $36 million. Turner accuses Moore of stealing an internet car sales business which Turner developed. Turner says he is fighting for his life:
In the early 1980’s, my job was to dispose of unwanted franchise car dealer inventory, which means trade-ins and over-age cars.
In the late 1990’s, I developed a system using the internet, which grew to a multi-million dollar business by the following decade. This system was stolen from me by people I had a 20 year relationship with.
I sued them and when I refused their settlement offer, they had me arrested. When I refused to take a plea they had my wife arrested. I am now facing 90 years in prison.
Update 8-22-09: “Cab” Tice reportedly told authorities that Patrick Gonzalez, Jr. was like a son to him, and then clarified that it was “like the wayward child that you always want to try to be a good influence on his life.” Patrick Gonzalez told authorities that Cab Tice asked him to “whack” Bud Billings. It gets more appalling every day.
Tice said that his Hispanic American Auto Sales business was failing and he borrowed $20,000 from an employee, who in returned borrowed money to give to Tice from the Mexican Mafia. Tice claims he was unaware the funds came from the Mafia source. Tice owned Bud Billings thousands of dollars, borrowed through Billings’ WorldCo Financial. It seems Tice wrote “worthless” checks to Billings totaling more than $10,000 to Billings.
When Hispanic American closed, Tice said the man inferred he had gotten the money from cousins in Atlanta in the Mexican restaurant business who were “members of the Mexican mafia.”
Tice said the man told him that the mafia members “won’t kill you, but they’ll kill your family and we’ve got to get them this money.”
Also, Tice said, the employee told Byrd Billings and Tice’s ex-wife that Tice was in debt to the Mexican mafia in an effort to get those people to reinforce to Tice that he needed to pay back the money.
“Bud said, you know, ‘I can’t believe you got in such a bind you borrowed money from the Mexican mafia and you know how dangerous these people are and you know what they’ll do,’ ” Tice said.
Tice said he still owes the “employee” $1500 and he has missed two payments this month. Byrd Billings’ civil lawsuit against Tice is still pending.

It is the number of young men and women who were gunned down this past school year. 36.
With three weeks left before summer break, a record 36 Chicago Public Schools students have been killed this school year, marking the third straight year that youth homicides have climbed into double digits. Chicago has surpassed New York City and Los Angeles for having the highest youth homicide rate in the nation.
"I think people in Chicago have almost gotten numb to the statistics," said Dexter Voisin, a researcher at the University of Chicago who studies the impact of violence on adolescents.
The latest victim in Chicago's long year of student killings is 15-year-old Alex Arellano. On May 1, he was chased, beaten with baseball bats, run over by a car, shot and burned. His body was found days after he disappeared from his family's home on the city's South Side.
Police continue to investigate the killing; gang activity has been suggested. His grieving family members have denied any gang connections and continue to look for answers.
"The homicide rate is just the tip of the iceberg," Mr. Voisin said. "Those with nonfatal injuries are almost 100 times that of our homicide rates. You think for about every one kid who is murdered, 100 kids witness the murder or are victims of nonfatal injuries, of robberies, muggings and gang-related incidents. A lot of times, this exposure goes undocumented or unreported."
Black youths, he said, are two times more likely than white youths to fail or drop out of school, and at the same time they are also eight to 10 times more likely to be victims of homicide than whites.
"I don't even know where to begin," said Diane Latiker, who runs a program for at-risk youths out of her home in the city's Roseland neighborhood. "There aren't any words for what I feel for what is going on for our youth."
Ms. Latiker uses three rooms of her six-room apartment to run a nonprofit program called Kids Off the Block. She offers tutoring, mentoring and travel opportunities designed to show Chicago youths who want successful futures that the violent culture they see daily is not the norm.
The local drug dealer in a big car with flashy rims, wearing cool sneakers, appears to many to be the model of success, Ms. Latiker said.
"The A and B students, they have family and community support," she said. "What about the kid who is struggling, hanging out there on the street corner and joining that gang because he feels hopeless? That's what I'm hearing from our youth. They feel they have nothing to live for."
Yet not a word about this from them. If it came out that Black children were being killed by the Chicago police, white men, or KKK members, they would be marching in the streets. But a little gang violence and they remain silent on this issue. THAT IS RACISM!
Why is it that Jackson, Waters and Sharpton will go ballistic if the 'N' word is used by a comedian, radio personality or other WHITE person, but are remaining silent when a rapper like: Mac Dre, Snoop Dog, Master P, and Lil Wayne all tell young people not to snitch, don't cooperate with the police. So the murderers go free to kill again and again. The rappers get rich, the murderers get away with the crime, and the people of the neighborhood are less safe, less secure in their homes.
And still the only cry that goes out is: Take away people's guns. If there were no guns, there would be no gun violence, the liberals say. The truth is that these crimes are not committed with legal weapons, but illegal ones. AK-47's to be exact. That is not the type of weapon one can walk into a gun shop and pick up.
Gun control is NOT the answer. The answer is for the Black Community to stop the culture of gangsterism. It is for parents to sit down with their kids and explain to them that the rappers and gangsters are not the best role-models for them. That snitching is not wrong. That testifying in court is your civic duty. That solving one's problems with a shooting is just plain stupid. Most important it is time for Black leaders to say these things. For Black leaders to march in the streets of Chicago screaming for justice for these 36 children. For Black leaders to stand up to the gangsters and take their culture back.
In September, Chicago will begin a new school year. Let us all pray that the next year will see no child shot, no child killed by gangsters. That each child will have a chance to grow up and become a useful and productive member of this great nation.
SOUTH WINDSOR — - A 35-year-old man with the eye-catching name of Almighty Supremeborn Allah was arraigned in Manchester Superior Court on Friday.
Allah, of 119 Elmhurst St. in West Hartford, was charged with reckless driving, disobeying an officer's signal, interfering with an officer, criminal attempt to sell cocaine and criminal attempt to possess cocaine, said police, who reported that Almighty Supremeborn Allah is his real name.
Police said they began looking for Allah after receiving a tip Thursday around 8 p.m. that he would be in South Windsor for a drug transaction. An officer spotted Allah in his car on John Finch Boulevard and tried pulling him over, police said. Allah initially refused to stop, but pulled over within a mile from where he was first seen, police said.
He was convicted in 2006 of possession of narcotics and disorderly conduct.
Allah was trying to post his bail of $80,000.
What can one really say about Almighty Supremeborn Allah. And what can you say about a system that allows a person convicted of possession of narcotics to serve for so short of a time. If he was given a real jail sentence of 5-10 years, he would still be in prison and there would be one less drug dealer on the streets of South Windsor.
Maybe Almighty Supremeborn Allah should contact the Saudi embassy and ask them for the $80,000 to make bail.
NEW YORK (CNN) -- Nicole Paultre Bell bolted from the courtroom as a judge acquitted three New York City detectives of all charges Friday in the shooting death of her fiance. Justice Arthur Cooperman was announcing the verdict clearing Detectives Michael Oliver and Gescard Isnora of manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment in the death of Sean Bell.
Detective Marc Cooper was cleared of reckless endangerment.
Bell, 23, died in November 2006 in a 50-bullet barrage hours before he was to be married. Two of his companions were wounded in the gunfire outside a Queens nightclub.
"This case was not about justice," declared Leroy Gadsden, chair of the police/community relations committee of the Jamaica Branch NAACP. "This case was about the police having a right to be above the law. If the law was in effect here, if the judge had followed the law truly, these officers would have been found guilty. ...
"This court, unfortunately, is bankrupt when it comes to justice for people of color."
Mayor Michael Bloomberg (that bastion of race pandering) issued a statement saying, "A innocent man lost his life, a bride lost her groom, two daughters lost their father, and a mother and a father lost their son. No verdict could ever end the grief that those who knew and loved Sean Bell suffer."
However, he said, the legal system must be respected.
"America is a nation of laws, and though not everyone will agree with the verdicts and opinions issued by the courts, we accept their authority."
Yes, Mayor Bloomberg, we are a nation of laws. The justice system worked in this case. The jury didn't buy the prosecutor's case. They didn't want to send the message that the police are always the criminals and the victims were totally innocent of any wrong doing. NYC police are well trained, they are not vigilantes or thugs. These are the men that ran into the World Trade Center when we were attacked on 9/11. You and Rev. Sharpton forget that. To you and him they are murderers. No, Mr. Mayor. These men, who put their lives on the line to protect the citizens of NY City, are not murderers. They are heroes.
I am reminded of the O.J. Simpson verdict. That miscarriage of justice did not result in rioting. Did not result in a federal investigation. Did result in a civil verdict. Rev. Sharpton and other "black" leaders are calling for protests. Are calling for a federal investigation. Are crying that there is no justice. They are screaming the old cry of the oppressed minority that has been heard since the Rodney King verdicts: "No Justice, No Peace!"
Today justice was served. And she showed herself to be blind to color.
Funny that this story hasn't hit the news agencies. Is it because it was a murder? No, those are covered every day all over the nation. Is it because he tried to flee the nation? No, stories like that are covered too. Is it because he is a Muslim? If he was Hispanic, Black, a Neo-Nazi or the victim was gay, the media would have been all over this.
The victims in this case were Muslims. The murderer is a Muslim. The murderer tried to take refuge in a Muslim nation.
We can be grateful that the US media at least isn't like the British one and using the word Asian to mean Muslim.

Iftekhar Murtaza, a 22-year-old American Muslim man living in Southern California was arrested in Phoenix Airport for bludgeoning, stabbing, strangling, and burning Leela, Karishma, and Jayprakash Dhanak. These three victims were the mother, sister, and father of his girlfriend, Shayona Dhanak.
The siege against the Dhanak household begain late in the evening of May 21st. The Dhanak family home was set ablaze, and Leela Dhanak, the mother of Iftekhar Murtaza's former girlfriend, was found very badly beaten, burned, and unconscious in a yard outside the home. A few hours later, the bludgeoned, strangled, stabbed, and torched bodies of his sweetheart's sister, Karishma Dhanak, and her father, Jayprakash Dhanak, were found along a hiking trail about 20 miles from the Dhanak home. The coroners were able to get a fingerprint from the female corpse and match the teeth from the male corpse to dental records to confirm their identities. The younger sister and object of Murtaza's affections, Shayona Dhanak, was in her dorm at U.C. Irvine when Iftekhar paid a visit to the Dhanak house.
When Iftekhar Murtaza was arrested, he was waiting to board a flight to Bangladesh, a perfect country for someone like Iftekhar Murtaza. Bangladesh was carved out of India to provide a homeland for Muslims unwilling to tolerate living with Hindus, and who were also not able to get along with their fellow Muslims in Pakistan. Bangladesh serves as a perfect example of how Islam destroys a society. It has experienced a non-stop decline in its economy since its Islamization, and has one of the lowest standards of living in the world. Yet, it sits in stark contrast to the countries that surround it. India and China have achieved exponential increases in their GDP and the global investment community expects them to dominate the world's economic growth in the years to come.
Authorities had previously detained Iftekhar for questioning, but let him go after he denied ever being in Anaheim the night of the attack. His excuse for attempting to leave the country to go to Bangladesh is that he was simply going to visit relatives. Strange that he was trying to board a flight to Bangladesh. A non-Muslim would have fled to Mexico fast. But a flight to Bangladesh, a Muslim nation, is more than just a simple running from the law. Bangladesh is an extremely poor nation and an extremely Islamic nation. There is no extradition treaty between the US and Bangladesh. Some one like Iftekhar Murtaza would fit right in, be proclaimed a hero by some Iman for defeating the Great Satan America.
