Terrorist Attack In Tel Aviv

A terror attack on a bus in Tel Aviv, close to IDF Headquarters that wounded 23, 2 seriously.  A bomb planted by an Arab terrorist in order to cause death, destruction and fear in the nation.

A terrorist left a bomb that exploded in a Dan bus originating in the nearby city of Bat Yam on Shaul HaMelech street in central Tel Aviv, around noon. Three people suffered serious injuries, two of whom needed surgery and are being operated on as this is written.

No one was killed, although the area teems with Israelis as it is the location of the Tel Aviv courts, banks and major businesses.

Twenty-one people have been evacuated to Icholov Hospital, just one street away, most of them with lesser injuries. Others are being treated for emotional shock.

Eyewitnesses said that that the terrorist boarded the bus, placed a suspicious package there and then fled. Others said he threw a briefcase into the middle of the bus. Police arrested one suspect but later released him when it became clear he had no connection with the attack.

Authorities said there was no advance warning of a terrorist attack. No terrorist group has yet taken responsibility for the attack, but Islamic Jihad and Hamas have threatened to strike anywhere in Israel.

TV images showed the bus with its windows blown out and its metal frame contorted from the force of the blast, in images reminiscent of scenes from previous terrorist bombings in the Second Intifada, also known as the Oslo War.

The front window was completely shattered and glass littered the floor as the wounded were loaded into ambulances by an army of medics.

The blast took place as US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Israel for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on ways to end a deadly spike in bloodshed in and around Gaza over the past week.

Netanyahu's spokesman said it was "a terrorist attack."

Gaza Arabs celebrated the attack, and Hamas officials said it was carried out in revenge for Israeli aerial bombings in Gaza that killed several members of one family.

Unlike the attacks of 10 years ago, this time the murderers aren't intent on killing themselves up along with their bombs.  I guess they have run out of virgins in the Islamic Paradise.  Instead they run on, deposit their bombs and run away like the cowards they are.

This time while people were hurt, no one was killed.  But next time it could be worse.

OPERATION PILLAR OF DEFENSE: Rocket Falls Near Tel Aviv, IDF Massing Armor

From just terrorizing Southern Israel, Hamas is now terrorizing the suburbs of Tel Aviv.  And what is Israel doing in response?  The IDF is massing its armor along the Gaza border.

Sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and residents were told to head for shelter Thursday evening. An explosion was reportedly heard. Magen David Adom said that there were no casualties. Voice of Israel public radio said that the rocket is believed to have struck in a southern suburb of Tel Aviv, but Home Front Defense Minister Avi Dichter said that the rocket apparently fell into the sea near Bat Yam.

Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich gave a conflicting account and said that a missile fell into the sea.

The IDF is amassing ground forces near Gaza and preparing for a possible assault. Interior Minister Eli Yishai (Shas) told Voice of Israel that Gaza is in for an "unprecedented attack."

Three sirens were also sounded in Be'er Sheva a few minutes before 7:00 p.m. and Magen David Adom said that a salvo of rockets was fired at the city. The Iron Dome system reportedly succeeded in intercepting five rockets.

A rocket fired from Gaza on Thursday struck Rishon Letzion, some 15 kilometers (nine miles) south of Tel Aviv, but there were no injuries or damage.

This is the furthest north Gaza terrorists have been able to strike since Operation Defensive Pillar began Wednesday.

Experts said it was most likely an Iranian-built Fajr 5 from Hamas's arsenal, which have a range of up to 75 kilometers (46 miles).

"There was a rocket that hit in an open field in the Rishon Letzion area. There were no injuries or damage," an army spokeswoman said. The city, with a population of some 228,000, lies about 50 kilometers (30 miles) north of Gaza. It borders on the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan zone.

I wonder how the leftists in Tel Aviv now think of the rocket attacks.  For years the traitorous group PEACE NOW has screamed for appeasement as the majority of them live in Tel Aviv and are not subjected to rocket fire, until now.

Again Hamas fires its rockets from civilian areas, not caring if these Human Shields get hurt or killed.  In fact, Hamas is counting on civilian casualties to show the world how horrible the Israelis are.  Remember that when told that Israel is purposely targeting civilians.

"But if she is on patrol in the snap," viewers wondered, "it's unclear why the soldier has opted for swimwear rather than a military uniform." Today is Yom Ha'atzmaut! The 61st Anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel. 61 years ago David ben Gurion said in his address of independence:

ERETZ-ISRAEL [(Hebrew) - the Land of Israel, Palestine] was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here their spiritual, religious and political identity was shaped. Here they first attained to statehood, created cultural values of national and universal significance and gave to the world the eternal Book of Books.

After being forcibly exiled from their land, the people kept faith with it throughout their Dispersion and never ceased to pray and hope for their return to it and for the restoration in it of their political freedom.

Impelled by this historic and traditional attachment, Jews strove in every successive generation to re-establish themselves in their ancient homeland. In recent decades they returned in their masses. Pioneers, ma'pilim [(Hebrew) - immigrants coming to Eretz-Israel in defiance of restrictive legislation] and defenders, they made deserts bloom, revived the Hebrew language, built villages and towns, and created a thriving community controlling its own economy and culture, loving peace but knowing how to defend itself, bringing the blessings of progress to all the country's inhabitants, and aspiring towards independent nationhood.

In the year 5657 (1897), at the summons of the spiritual father of the Jewish State, Theodore Herzl, the First Zionist Congress convened and proclaimed the right of the Jewish people to national rebirth in its own country.

This Government has been informed that a Jewish state has been proclaimed in Palestine, and recognition has been requested by the provisional government thereof. The United States recognizes the provisional government as the de facto authority of the State of Israel.

Then 5 Arab nations (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq) attacked the fledgling nation. 5 nations whose combined military power had a 10 to 1 advantage over the new nation. 5 nations with the best equipped militaries in the region, compared to the new nation with a spattering of guns, no tanks, few planes, and no real artillery.

The new nation never stood a chance of survival fora more than a week, perhaps 10 days.

But the new nation had a weapon that the others didn't have. The Hand of G-d.

Today Israelis are celebrating the founding of their nation. Born in blood, yet with the promise and hope that peace will one day resound through out the land.

Tel Aviv Residents are 'Settlers'

Tel Aviv is the second-largest city in Israel, with an estimated population of 390,100. The city is situated on the Israeli Mediterranean coastline, with a land area of 51.8 square kilometres (20.0 sq mi). It is the largest and most populous city in the metropolitan area of Gush Dan, home to 3.15 million people as of 2008. The city is governed by the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality.

Founded in 1909 on the outskirts of the ancient port city of Jaffa, by Jewish settlers, Tel Aviv has grown into a vibrant, dynamic city. David ben Gurion declared the State of Israel born from the Tel Aviv Museum now the Independence Hall on Friday, May 14, 1948.

Tel Aviv is Israel's economic hub, home of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and many corporate offices and research and development centers. Now why did I bring this up. After all Tel Aviv's birthday isn't today.

Ex-IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Yaalon came out swinging Saturday night in his new role as Likud politician. Arabs views all Israelis as "settlers," including those in Tel Aviv, he said in his first public political meeting since he announced this past week that he is running for a seat in the Knesset.

Media, both in Israel and outside the country, have used the term "settler," often disparagingly, to define Jews living in Judea and Samaria, differentiating them from other Israelis. However, Yaalon pointed out, "Israeli Arabs, with four documents that they wrote over the past two years, are actually rejecting our right to an independent Jewish state. We [all] are settlers, as far as they are concerned."


Yaalon was Chief of Staff (pictured left) under former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who took the unusual step of not extending his term of office. The primary reason was Yaalon's doubts about the practicality of the "Disengagement" plan that resulted in the destruction of a Jewish presence in the Gaza and northern Samarian regions and the withdrawal of all Israeli troops in Gaza and along the Philadelphi smuggling route.

Yaalon, whose joining the Likud has boosted the party in pre-election polls, declared that the government's approach towards an agreement with the Palestinian Authority is a failure because it aims for a solution to a problem that has not been defined.

"A particular solution is being forced on us," he stated. "We want peace now, food now, everything now, as if this is fast food and fast peace, and along the way we have lost much of our spirit, our power and our deterrence."

The PalArabs actually are trying to convince the world that they created Tel Aviv and its original name was Tel Al-Rabi. And of course the Moonbats on the left actually now believe that fable of the liars.

At no time did the PalArabs ever build a city from scratch. They took over every city they have lived in. So unless someone can find some authentic pictures of this mythical Tel Al-Rabi. It should remain a myth. Just like Atlantis and El Dorado.

Tel Aviv is real as is its history whether the Moonbats and PalArabs like it or not!

While we are at it, let us not forget Jerusalem, the City of Gold. Muslims claim that Muhammad prayed in the temple of Jerusalem. But they are a few centuries off. The Temple was destroyed in 68 CE. Totally razed to the ground with no 2 stones standing upon one another. A Byzantine Church was erected in the 4th Century CE. But it was no temple in any respect. So please tell me what city did Muhammad travel to (provided that he actually left Arabia and didn't just have a bad acid trip)?
