"I don't know how many of you are familiar with "The tomb of the unknown soldier."  I have been there and it is a very humbling experience. You should read up on it. These soldiers have guarded the tomb for many decades and they are there 24 hours per day regardless of weather.

As Hurricane Sandy is ready to make landfall, these soldiers will continue their guard. They uphold this mission with great honor and there have only been 400 guards to ever receive the honor of guarding the tomb.  The tomb holds the body of an unidentified soldier who represents all those soldiers who have died but their remains were never identified.

There are many, many sites to give you a synopsis.  Here is one:  Home of Heroes

My other brother, D, noted - "This is pretty neat. I would think, if hurricane force winds were to reach the tomb, I can’t imagine this would be accomplished as pictured. But you can bet if not, Uncle Sam has a protocol."
