My pals at Stand With Us are promoting a counter-attack urging customers to make it a point to bu Israeli products. It has worked beautifully in previous years, and we can make it work again. Remember the Trader Joe's protest? That's when I made a point to walk into the place and pick up some Israeli cous-cous along with my usual wine purchases. (It was pretty good too.)

Radiation Levels Surge Outside Two Nuclear Plants in Japan

Japan declared states of emergency for five nuclear reactors at two power plants after the units lost cooling ability in the aftermath of Friday's powerful earthquake. Thousands of residents were evacuated as workers struggled to get the reactors under control to prevent meltdowns.

Operators at the Fukushima Daiichi plant's Unit 1 scrambled ferociously to tamp down heat and pressure inside the reactor after the 8.9 magnitude quake and the tsunami that followed cut off electricity to the site and disabled emergency generators, knocking out the main cooling system.

An official with Japan's nuclear safety commission says that a meltdown at nuclear power plant affected by the country's massive earthquake is possible.

Ryohei Shiomi said Saturday that officials were checking whether a meltdown had taken place at the Fukushima Dai-ichi power plant, which had lost cooling ability in the aftermath of Friday's powerful earthquake.

Some 3,000 people within two miles of the plant were urged to leave their homes, but the evacuation zone was more than tripled to 6.2 miles after authorities detected eight times the normal radiation levels outside the facility and 1,000 times normal inside Unit 1's control room.

The government declared a state of emergency at the Daiichi unit -- the first at a nuclear plant in Japan's history. But hours later, the Tokyo Electric Power Co., which operates the six-reactor Daiichi site, announced that it had lost cooling ability at a second reactor there and three units at its nearby Fukushima Daini site.

The government quickly declared states of emergency for those units, too, and thousands of residents near Fukushima Daini also were told to leave.

The United State has offered to help Japan deal with a nuclear reactor whose cooling system failed after a power outage caused by Friday's massive earthquake off northeastern Japan.

Japan's nuclear safety agency said the situation was most dire at Fukushima Daiichi's Unit 1, where pressure had risen to twice what is consider the normal level. The International Atomic Energy Agency said in a statement that diesel generators that normally would have kept cooling systems running at Fukushima Daiichi had been disabled by tsunami flooding.

Officials at the Daiichi facility began venting radioactive vapors from the unit to relieve pressure inside the reactor case. The loss of electricity had delayed that effort for several hours.

Plant workers there labored to cool down the reactor core, but there was no prospect for immediate success. They were temporarily cooling the reactor with a secondary system, but it wasn't working as well as the primary one, according to Yuji Kakizaki, an official at the Japanese nuclear safety agency.

Even once a reactor is shut down, radioactive byproducts give off heat that can ultimately produce volatile hydrogen gas, melt radioactive fuel, or even breach the containment building in a full meltdown belching radioactivity into the surroundings, according to technical and government authorities.

Despite plans for the intentional release of radioactivity, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said the 40-year-old plant was not leaking radiation.

"With evacuation in place and the ocean-bound wind, we can ensure the safety," Edano said at a televised news conference early Saturday.

It was unclear if the elevation of radioactivity around the reactor was known at the time he spoke.

The outside measurement of radiation at Daiichi was far below the allowed limit for a year, other officials said, reporting that it would take 70 days standing at the gate to reach the yearly limit.

While the condition of the reactor cores was of utmost concern, Tokyo Electric Power Co. also warned of power shortages and an "extremely challenging situation in power supply for a while."

The Daiichi site is located in Onahama city, about 170 miles northeast of Tokyo. The 460-megawatt Unit 1 began operating in 1971 and is the oldest at the site. It is a boiling water reactor that drives the turbine with radioactive water, unlike pressurized water reactors usually found in the United States. Japanese regulators decided in February to allow it to run another 10 years.

The temperature inside the reactor wasn't reported, but Japanese regulators said it wasn't dropping as quickly as they wanted.

Kakizaki, the safety agency official, said the emergency cooling system is intact and could kick in as a last line of defense. "That's as a last resort, and we have not reached that stage yet," he added.

Defense Ministry official Ippo Maeyama said dozens of troops trained for chemical disasters had been dispatched to the plant in case of a radiation leak, along with four vehicles designed for use in atomic, biological and chemical warfare.

Technical experts said the plant would presumably have hours, but probably not days, to try to stabilize things.

Leonard S. Spector, director of the Washington office of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, said loss of coolant is the most serious type of accident at a nuclear power plant.

"They are busy trying to get coolant to the core area," said Neil Sheehan, a spokesman for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. "The big thing is trying to get power to the cooling systems."

High-pressure pumps can temporarily cool a reactor in this state with battery power, even when electricity is down, according to Arnold Gundersen, a nuclear engineer who used to work in the U.S. nuclear industry. They can open and close relief valves needed to control pressure. Batteries would go dead within hours but could be replaced.

The IAEA said "mobile electricity supplies" had arrived at the Daiichi plant. It wasn't clear if they were generators or batteries.

It also was not immediately clear how closely the reactor had moved toward dangerous pressure or temperature levels. If temperatures were to keep rising to more than 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, it could set off a chemical reaction that begins to embrittle the metallic zirconium that sheathes the radioactive uranium fuel.

That reaction releases hydrogen, which can explode when cooling water finally floods back into the reactor. That was also concern for a time during the 1979 Three Mile Island accident in Pennsylvania.

If the reactor temperature keeps reaches around 4,000 degrees, the fuel could melt outright, and the reactor could slump right into the bottom of the containment building in a partial meltdown. Then the crucial question would be whether the building would stay intact.

"The last line of defense is that containment -- and that's got to hold," Gundersen said. If it doesn't, the radioactive load inside the reactor can pour out into the surroundings.

The plant is just south of the Miyagi prefecture, which was the region hardest hit by the quake. A fire broke out at another nuclear plant in that area in a turbine building at one of the Onagawa power reactors. Smoke poured from the building, but the fire was put out. Turbine buildings of such boiling water reactors, though separate from the reactor, do contain radioactive water, but at much lower levels than inside the reactor. A water leak was reported in another Onagawa reactor.

No radioactive releases were reported in any of the other affected plants.

As Japan is one of the most seismically active nations in the world, it has strict sets of regulations designed to limit the impact of quakes on nuclear power plants. These standards call for constructing plants on solid bedrock to reduce shaking.

Even so, 10 of Japan's 54 commercial reactors were shut down because of the quake, and Tokyo Electric Power said it had to reduce power generation. Japan gets about 30 percent of its electricity from nuclear power.

So far, today's tsunami has mainly affected Japan -- there are reports of up to 300 dead in the coastal city of Sendai -- but future tsunamis could strike the U.S. and virtually any other coastal area of the world with equal or greater force, say scientists. In a little-heeded warning issued at a 2009 conference on the subject, experts outlined a range of mechanisms by which climate change could already be causing more earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic activity.

"When the ice is lost, the earth's crust bounces back up again and that triggers earthquakes, which trigger submarine landslides, which cause tsunamis," Bill McGuire, professor at University College London, told Reuters.

Melting ice masses change the pressures on the underlying earth, which can lead to earthquakes and tsunamis, but that's just the beginning. Rising seas also change the balance of mass across earth's surface, putting new strain on old earthquake faults, and may have been partly to blame for the devastating 2004 tsunami that struck Southeast Asia, according to experts from the China Meteorological Administration.

How wrong they are again.  This Earthquake was caused by a Subduction Fault.

No warming needed, just good old-fashioned plate tectonics.

Palestinian Terrorist Slaughters Israeli Family In West Bank - Dead Include Child, Toddler and Baby

A shocking terrorist attack in Israel's West Bank has been discovered as an Israeli family of five - father, mother, child, toddler and baby were found killed by a Palestinian terrorist who infiltrated the West Bank settlement of Itamar.

Five family members were found dead in their residence in the West Bank Itamar settlement Friday overnight. A number of settlement residents had reported gun shots coming from the house as well, an Army spokesperson said.

A Magen David Adom that arrived at the scene at 1:00 a.m. announced a couple, their 11-year old child, 3-year-old toddler, and a one-month baby dead.

Police have set out in search of the suspect in the Itamar settlement, as well as in the surrounding villages of Awarta, Beit Pouriq, and Beir Mouksaifa.

Initial reports said that an armed terroist entered the settlement and stabbed to death the couple and their children.

As you can see, the report is sketchy and there is some confusion as to how the attack went down but this is cold blooded. But also to be expected of the Palestinian animals. The question now will be whether one of the islamic terror groups will actually claim responsibility for this. The outcry for vengeance for this should be ringing loud in Israel.

Think about this - an entire family wiped out. An infant killed in the name of allah. A family of five people dead tonight, killed by the so called "oppressed." The rage is going to build over this.

He Died From A Broken Heart

Just a pair of best friends until one was killed by a road side bomb. Yet the love this dog had for his partner was so great that within the day he joined his master/friend.

Liam and Theo were a team, fast friends doing a dangerous job -- searching out roadside bombs laid by insurgents in Afghanistan.

The jovial British soldier and his irrepressible dog worked and played together for months, and died on the same day. On Thursday they came home, flown back to Britain in a somber repatriation ceremony for the soldier remembered for his empathy with animals and the companion he loved.

Lance Cpl. Liam Tasker, a dog handler with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, was killed in a firefight with insurgents in Helmand Province on March 1 as he searched for explosives with Theo, a bomb-sniffing springer spaniel mix. The dog suffered a fatal seizure hours later at a British army base, likely brought about by stress.

Military officials won't go so far as to say Theo died of a broken heart -- but that may not be far from the truth.

"I think we often underestimate the grieving process in dogs," said Elaine Pendlebury, a senior veterinarian with animal charity PDSA. "Some dogs react very severely to their partner's loss."

She said it was not uncommon for pets to respond to an owner's death by refusing food and becoming sick -- and the bond between working dogs and their handlers is especially close.

"The bonding that I have seen between soldiers or police and their dogs is fantastic. When you see them working together, it's really one unit."

A military Hercules plane carrying Tasker's body and Theo's ashes touched down Thursday at a Royal Air Force base in southwest England. As the funeral cortege of black vehicles drove slowly away, it was saluted by a long line of military dog handlers, their dogs at their sides. A black Labrador retriever sat quietly beside its handler as the hearse carrying the flag-draped coffin disappeared from view.

At the nearby town of Wootton Bassett, where people line the streets in a mark of respect each time a dead solder is repatriated, dozens stood silently -- some with dogs at their feet -- as Tasker's friends and family laid roses atop the hearse.

The Ministry of Defense said Theo's ashes would be presented to Tasker's family later at a private ceremony.

Tasker, 26, from Kirkcaldy in Scotland, spent six years as an army mechanic before joining the military working dog unit in 2007. He felt he had found his calling.

"I love my job and working together with Theo," Tasker said in a profile of the pair released by the Ministry of Defense before his death. "He has a great character and never tires. He can't wait to get out and do his job and will stop at nothing."

The soldier and the 22-month-old dog had been in Afghanistan for almost six months, uncovering roadside bombs and weapons in a dangerous daily routine.

Theo became a bit of a military celebrity last month after the defense ministry released photos and video of him and Tasker to highlight the lifesaving work of military dogs. The footage, now deeply poignant, shows Theo -- energetic, ears cocked, tail wagging -- alongside Tasker searching a compound for explosives.

The ministry said then that Theo had been so successful -- finding 14 hidden bombs and weapons caches, a record for a team in Afghanistan -- that the dog's tour of duty had been extended by a month.

Tasker was the 358th British soldier to die in Afghanistan since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion. Theo was the sixth British military dog killed in Iraq or Afghanistan since 2001.

There are calls for Theo to receive the Dickin medal, which since 1943 has recognized wartime bravery by animals, from carrier pigeons to a World War II commando collie.

The loyalty of some dogs is legendary, from Greyfriars Bobby, a 19th-century Skye terrier who guarded his master's Edinburgh grave for 14 years, to Hachiko, a Japanese dog who awaited his owner's return at a train station every day for years after the man's death. Both are commemorated with statues.

Tasker's father, Ian, said Theo would have been devastated by Liam's death.

"I truly believe when Theo went back to the kennel, that that would have a big, big impact because Liam wasn't there to comfort him," he told ITV news.

Tasker's mother, Jane Duffy agreed. "I'm not nurse or a vet (but) I would like to believe (Theo) died of a broken heart to be with Liam," she told the broadcaster.

Tasker's colleague's recalled the soldier's bond with his dog and zealous attention to duty in tributes released by the defense ministry.

"A natural with animals, he had an affection for his dog that truly was a window to his soul," said Maj. Alexander Turner, a commander of Tasker's unit.

He "was here to save life, finding explosive devices that kill more farmers than combatants in our area," Turner said. "His fortitude and zeal for that perilous task was humbling; it imbued us all with confidence. He used to joke that Theo was impossible to restrain but I would say the same about Lance Corporal Tasker."

Tasker's uncle, Billy McCord, said the soldier had been due to leave Afghanistan soon and worried about being separated from Theo.

"He actually said at one point that when he finished his tour he was not sure what would happen to his dog and that he could be separated from his dog," McCord told the local Courier newspaper in Scotland. "That was preying on his mind, but they are not separated now."

Dogs mourn for the ones they love.  Some deeper than others.  Theo was one of them in which even death could not part him from his beloved master.

I believe both have gone to a better place, a place of beauty, plenty and love. A place where the 2 of them are having the joy of friendship without having to risk their lives on the bombs that took their lives.

The King Hearings-Why They Are Needed

Congressman Peter King (R-NY) kicks off his hearings on Islamic extremism in this country in the face of great controversy. His critics, including Keith Ellison (D-MN), the ACLU and CAIR object that this will amount to nothing more than a witch hunt against innocent American Muslims. No doubt it will shine a spotlight on the Muslim communities in America and may increase suspicion. Yet, the suspicion is already present and should be addressed and discussed. Congressman King insists that he is not trying to defame the vast majority of American Muslims or paint them with the same brush. Yet, the hearings are indeed necessary for no other reason than we cannot ignore what is staring us right in the face. We have a problem here in America, and we need to confront it and put it in the proper perspective in fairness to all.

On 9-11, 19 men, all from the Middle East, men who should not have been in this country to begin with, took 3,000 lives. Since then, several smaller attacks have been carried out or thwarted. Many of these attacks or would- be attacks have been carried out by home-grown terrorists. They share one common characteristic; they were all perpetrated by Muslims. Does that mean all American Muslims are terrorists or potential terrorists? No-far from it. Yet, we have to face the facts. Some are.

From Ft Hood to the Underwear Bomber to the Times Square Bomber to the Shoe Bomber to Anwar al Awlaki to the Ft Dix conspiracy and on and on, Muslims have been involved in one plot after another to carry out mass murder in the US. The FBI deserves credit for having foiled so many would-be acts of terror.

Yet, we all know that another 9-11 is likely and that smaller acts of terror are a certainty. And when they happen, they will be carried out by Muslims.

In addition, we also know that many mosques in the US are breeding grounds for would-be terrorists. Many imams are giving sermons (or outside speeches) laced with hate against this country, its freedoms, its traditions, and non-Muslims. Examples? How about the so-called Blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel Rahman, now in prison on terror conspiracy charges? How about Awlaki himself? How about Luqman Ameen Abdullah in Detroit, killed  in a shootout with the FBI? How about folks like Imam Alim Musa, who praises Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran while openly telling audiences that Islam will take down and take over America? How about Mohammed al-Asi, the imam who said several years ago at UC-Irvine that "you can take a Jew out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the Jew"?

What about some of these organizations like CAIR, ICNA, ISNA, MPAC and others, not only connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, but in the case of some, named as "un-indicted co-conspirators" in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas? (CAIR has now been removed from that list by judicial order.) What connections, if any, do they have with US-recognized terror groups in the Middle East, such as Hamas or Hezbollah?

And isn't it time that someone was called under oath to answer questions about what connections these Muslim Student Associations have with radical groups-including the Muslim Brotherhood?

No reasonable person wants to see these hearings turn into an indictment of all American Muslims. I sure don't. If anything, King has caved into opposition demands to exclude certain witnesses like Steven Emerson, who could spell it all out chapter and verse for the committee.  King says he wants to concentrate on Muslim witnesses. It is good that he will call Zuhdi Jasser of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy. That should encourage other moderate Muslims of good will to come out of the shadows and tell the committee of their own concerns and fears.

Yes, fears of what they can expect if they speak out against the radicals.

I would hope that the leaders of CAIR, ISNA, MPAC and other so-called "moderate" organizations will also be called-not just to give their prepared statements, but answer hard questions under oath. For example, how about Nihad Awad, the head of CAIR? He could be asked about how exactly CAIR was formed back in 1994 and the involvement and connections with the Muslim Brotherhood. How about the obvious radicals, such as the Islamic Thinkers Society and Shariah4America? Let them tell the American people publicly what their goals are.

Make no mistake; there is an organized effort going on to radicalize Muslim youth in America. It involves certain mosques, certain religious leaders and certain organizations that portray themselves as moderate. Much of what is going on takes place on university campuses. My biggest fear is that due to political correctness, the King hearings will not even scratch the surface of what is going on.

It would not be fair to say that all or even most American Muslims represent a 5th column in this country. But a 5th column is out there. We want American Muslims of good will to join with us in rooting it out. Some have. Some of the would-be attacks have indeed been thwarted when Muslims tipped off the FBI. That is highly commendable. However, more of that is needed. It is not helpful when certain organizations actively discourage their followers from cooperating with the police.

The King hearings are needed, and if they do their job, can be highly effective. Peter King is no Joe McCarthy, but if the committee shies away from certain areas or refuses to pin down witnesses under oath, then they will be a failure. The stakes are simply too high. What are those stakes?

Hundreds, if not thousands of American lives.

On March 2, a gunman walked into a Frankfurt, Germany airport and shot four people, killing two of them. They were:


Senior Airman Nicholas J. Alden who was 25-years-old from Williamston, S.C. He was assigned to the 48th Security Forces Squadron at RAF Lakenheath in England.







Airman 1st Class Zachary R. Cuddeback of Stanardsville, Va. He was assigned to the 86th Vehicle Readiness Squadron at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

Both Men were being deployed to Afghanistan. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and families these Men left behind.

Clarification Of Points In The US Constitution

I often hear Conservatives complain that a person isn't a natural born citizen if one of his parents was not a citizen of the United States at the time of his or her birth upon US soil.  This is especially applied to President Obama.  It is also a wrong assumption on their part. It shows an ignorance of American Jurisprudence before the adoption of the Constitution.

Prior to the adoption of the US Constitution, it was English Law that was in force.  English Common Law to be precise gave each colonist his or her concept of citizenship and specifically Natural Born Citizenship.

For the definition of a “natural born subject”, William Blackstone (1723-1780), frequently cited for English Common Law, defined a “natural born subject” as follows:

“The first and most obvious division of the people is into aliens and natural-born subjects. Natural-born subjects are such as are born within the dominions of the crown of England, that is, within the ligeance, or as it is generally called, the allegiance of the king;and aliens, such as are born out of it. Allegiance is the tie, or ligamen, which binds the subject to the king, in return for that protection which the king affords the subject. The thing itself, or substantial part of it, is founded in reason and the nature of government;the name and the form are derived to us from our Gothic ancestors.***The children of aliens, born here in England, are, generally speaking, natural-born subjects, and entitled to all the privileges of such. In which the constitution of France differs from ours; for there, by their jus albinatus, if a child be born of foreign parents, it is an alien.”William Blackstone, Commentaries 1:354, 357--58, 361—62.

As we can see, for children born within the King’s dominions and allegiance, they were considered “natural born subjects” without any consideration for the citizenship of their parents. On the question of what the Framers meant when they inserted the “natural bornCitizen” clause in Article II, putative President Obama supporters argue that the Framers simply used the “natural born Citizen” clause in place of the English common law“natural born subject” clause. Hence, they argue that the clauses mean the same exact thing. In practical terms, they therefore argue that in the mind of the Framers mere birth on United States soil without any reference to the citizenship of the child’s parents (withexceptions for children of diplomats and of invading soldiers) made one a “natural bornCitizen.” In support of their argument, they cite language in United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898). The quote is:

“‘And if, at common law, all human beings born within the ligeance of the king, andunder the king's obedience, were natural-born subjects, and not aliens, I do not perceive why this doctrine does not apply to these United States in all cases in which there is no express constitutional or statute declaration to the contrary.' ‘Subject' and 'citizen' are, in a degree, convertible terms as applied to natives; and though the term 'citizen' seems to be appropriate to republican freemen, yet we are, equally with the inhabitants of all other countries, 'subjects,' for we are equally bound by allegiance and subjection to thegovernment and law of the land.' Id. 258, note.” United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169U.S. 649, 664-65 (1898). (quoting Chancellor Kent’s Commentaries).

The authors of the Constitution were for the most part lawyers and judges deeply schooled in English Common Law, and had spent their entire careers working within its confines.  Logic dictates that they would base their new legal system around the very law in which they knew. And they did. A very good example of this is the fact in the greater part of Europe a person is considered guilty of the crime they are accused of.  They must prove their innocence.  Under English and US law, a person is considered innocent of the crime and the State (or Crown) must prove his or her guilt. This is found no where in the Constitution, but is accepted as law.

This issue has arisen before in American politics:

Chester Arthur (born of an American mother and Irish father, purported birthplace of

Canada) was sworn in as President, however his status as a "Natural born citizen" was challenged because he was born with British citizenship (therefore not jus sanguinis) and it is contended, on foreign soil (therefore not jus soli). Some argue that those born abroad to U.S. citizens are not eligible to ascend to the Presidency (not jus soli), since an act of the United States Congress such as the Naturalization Act may not overrule the Constitution (see "Natural born citizen" as presidential qualification). Presidential candidates George W. Romney (born in Mexico), Barry Goldwater and John McCain (born in U.S. territories), were never seriously challenged on the basis of their "natural born" citizenship, but no candidate falling under this classification has ever actually become President.

The other bemoaning is that the courts, especially the Supreme Court has no authority in the Constitution to decide whether a law is constitutional or not. That it is the President or even better the states who should decide the issue.  What a recipe for disaster that would be. President Obama would declare every law he didn't agree with unconstitutional, or you would have 50 different decisions from 50 different states. Inn one especially liberal state gun possession would be punished by life in prison, in another all drugs would be legal, in other abortion (including miscarriages) would be murder, in other it would be perfectly legal, and in Utah polygamy would be legal.  Anarchy Rules!

Once again the answer results from English Common Law. Under English law the courts decide which laws are legal and which laws contradict early law without trying to change the earlier law.

Remembering that the founders were lawyers and judges who practiced under English Law, it is easy to see how this was adopted by the first court to prevent anarchy within the legal system.

The Judiciary Act of 1789 is passed by Congress and signed by President George Washington, establishing the Supreme Court of the United States as a tribunal made up of six justices who were to serve on the court until death or retirement. That day, President Washington nominated John Jay to preside as chief justice, and John Rutledge, William Cushing, John Blair, Robert Harrison, and James Wilson to be associate justices. On September 26, all six appointments were confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

The U.S. Supreme Court was established by Article 3 of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution granted the Supreme Court ultimate jurisdiction over all laws, especially those in which their constitutionality was at issue. The high court was also designated to oversee cases concerning treaties of the United States, foreign diplomats, admiralty practice, and maritime jurisdiction. On February 1, 1790, the first session of the U.S. Supreme Court was held in New York City's Royal Exchange Building.

Article III - The Judicial Branch Note


Section 2 - Trial by Jury, Original Jurisdiction, Jury Trials

The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority; to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls; to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction; to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party; to Controversies between two or more States; between a State and Citizens of another State; between Citizens of different States; between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.

The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury; and such Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any State, the Trial shall be at such Place or Places as the Congress may by Law have directed.

John Blair and James Wilson were signatories of the Constitution. In fact James Wilson signed not only the Constitution, but the Declaration of Independence.  Thus these men not only knew the intent of the Founding Fathers, but were the Founding Fathers.

I find that opposition to the Supreme Court holding jurisdiction over the Constitution stems from anger over Roe V. Wade and both Engel v. Vitale and Abington School District v. Schempp. The last two removed prayer from public schools.  And not with decisions like McDonald v. Chicago or District of Columbia v. Heller.

In Bird Vs. Plane Both Lose

Bird strikes are a significant threat to flight safety, and have caused a number of accidents with human casualties. Major accidents involving civil aircraft are quite low and it has been estimated that there is only about 1 accident resulting in human death in one billion (109) flying hours. The majority of bird strikes (65%) cause little damage to the aircraft; however, the collision is usually fatal to the bird.

Most accidents occur when the bird hits the windscreen or flies into the engines. These cause annual damages that have been estimated at $400 million within the United States of America alone and up to $1.2 billion to commercial aircraft worldwide.  Now there is hope to reduce the damage from such attacks.

Mid-air collisions with birds are the leading cause of airplane crashes, and have led to the destruction of several Air Force planes, as well as causing more than $500,000 in damage to other planes. In response, Israel Aerospace Industries has invented the Bird Splitter, a system that destroys birds before they hit the plane.

The system was unveiled last week at the 51st annual Israeli conference on Aerospace sciences, held in Tel Aviv.

The Bird Splitter is located on the tail of the aircraft. The system “is designed to 'split' an oncoming bird and thereby protect aircraft structure and crucial systems,” IAI said.

It has been installed on the IAI's new G-250 business jet.

The risk posed by birds made papers worldwide in 2009, thanks to the “Miracle on the Hudson,” when pilot Chesley Sullenberger successfully landed an incapacitated passenger plane on the Hudson River, saving the lives of everyone on board. The plane's engines had been severely damaged in a collision with a flock of geese.

It was only the fact that Captain Sullenberger was such an exceptional pilot that the passengers and crew were not killed.  Bird Splitter will help prevent these accidents.

Another useful invention for the left to demand a boycott of.

Once again I am responding to a readers comments through a full posting.  This time to Joel who wrote this comment to the article "Useless Discours-Another Israel-Bashing Event at UC-Irvine":

Israel has been occupying the West Bank and Gaza since 1967 and it continues to colonize these territories. It's time to end these policies once and for all.

Wow!  2 short sentences that have nothing to do with the article posted, but will make this child look cool to his friends when he mentions it. Oh and it is cool these days to be for the destruction of Israel and the murder of another 7 million Jews (Your skinhead friends will be very pleased with you.).

Normally I would have the author of the posting respond to you, and if Mr. Fouse wishes to, I will be happy to welcome him into the debate.

To start off the debate let me give you a few FACTS.

Arabs are not the Indigenous People, Jews are.

A study by the University of Chicago found that Arab populations, including Palestinians, Jordanians, Syrians, Iraqis, and Bedouin, have at least some sub-Saharan African genes. Non-Arabs from the region, including Turks, Kurds, Armenians, Azeris, Georgians, and Jews did not have any African roots. A possible explanation is the proximity of the Arabian peninsula to the Black African nations. This conclusion is favored by the fact that Yemenite Arabs have 35% Black African genes in their mtDNA (which passes through the mother), while others have less. Yemen, of course, is very close geographically to several Black African nations. Other Arabs, especially those far away from the Arabian peninsula, have as little as 10% African blood in their mtDNA. As such, it is possible that the African gene was merely diluted by the introduction of non-Arab (and non-African) genes to the pool when Arabs began to conquer other Middle East people after the rise of Islam. The "real" Arabs -- those who have Arab ancestors stretching beyond the last 1,400 years - are actually 35% Black in their mtDNA. These Arabs are from the Arabian peninsula.

There is a significant Christian population among Palestinian Arabs, leading some to claim that at least part of the Palestinian population (the Christians) descended from the original followers of Christ, who were, of course, Jews (they were Jews ethnically, even if they didn't follow Judaism).

The local Christian Arabs can claim the right of being part of the Indigenous Population due to their being descended from the Jewish population of the land, but not the Muslim population. They originated in Yemen, arrived in the land in the 1480s (About the time Columbus 'discovered' and colonized the New World.), and should be resettled back in Yemen immediately.

Forgetting the genetics, history has shown a presence of the Jewish People in the land, non-stop for the last 3500 years. Historical evidence of this presences in found in the historical writings of the Babylonians, Greeks, Roman, Muslims, Crusaders, Turks and Westerners. Mark Twain mentions the Jews in his travels. The Greeks mention the Jews and their obscene practice of circumcision. The Romans mention them in many places. So looking at historical sources, I give you the following:

• When Joshua led the people of Israel back to the promise land, he was fulfilling God's commandment to return to the land of their forefathers. God admonished him to kill everything and everyone. There were Jews again in the land.
• When the Babylonians conquered, there were Jews in Israel.
• When the Greeks conquered, there were Jews in Israel.
• When the Romans conquered, there were Jews in Israel.
• When the Muslims conquered, there were Jews in Israel.
• When the Crusaders conquered, there were Jews in Israel.
• When the Muslims re-conquered, there were Jews in Israel.
• When the Ottoman Turks conquered, there were Jews in Israel.
• When the British were given the Mandate, there were Jews in Israel.
• When in 1948, the Jews took back the land stolen from them, there were Jews in Israel.

Genetics, Archeology, and History show that the Indigenous People of the land are the Jews and their descendants. You cannot occupy or colonize that which is HISTORICALLY yours to begin with!! Thus your argument falls flat.  It always does when you insert facts into the mix.

What a concept!  Total withdrawal without a peace treaty, with just the promise that the Arabs MIGHT stop shelling Israel.  A Broken Promise!  Israel has been shelled almost on a daily basis for the last 10 years.  No other nation would have been forced by the world to put up with that, no other nation would have been condemned for attacking those who attack them.  Why?  Because Israel is the JEWISH nation, it must be held to higher standards by the anti-Semites (Like yourself Joel.) of the world.

Why wasn't Qadaffy put to such a standard? Or Egypt, Iran Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, or any of the Islamic nations (57) whose record of Human Rights is so abysmal that the only redress to do is to put them in charge of it.  The lunatics really are running the asylmun.

Madison Wisconsin Mayor Stalls AWOL Dems Awaiting New Union Contracts

Fox6 investigators are in possession of government emails saying Madison, Wisconsin mayor, Dave Ciesliewicz was attempting to get new union contracts ratified before the vote on Governor Scott Walker's budget repair was voted on by the Senate. All 14 Democrat senators left the state two weeks ago, and are still in the hinterlands tonight, as far as anyone knows. An order for the legislators arrest has been issued, and starting today, each will be fined $100.oo per day if they do not show up to work. See the video below.

They were trying to buy some time so they could ratify new contracts to protect workers from benefit cuts. Citizens for Responsible Government Rep. Chris Kliesmet says, "This suggests, and this is a harsh word, collusion. There is collusion between some politicians and public sector employee unions. Period."

New Black Panthers are Eric Holder's "People"

Republican Congressman John Culberson (TX) accused Attorney General Eric Holder of "failing to cooperate" in the infamous case of the The New Black Panthers intimidating voters at a Philadelphia polling place in the 2008 presidential elections. Holder was offended when Culberson cited Democrat activist and Civil Rights icon, Bartle Bull's testimony about the kind of intimidation he saw that day at the polls. Holder said the comparison was an affront to "his" people who sacrificed in the 60"s. Apparently Bartle Bull, who is White and who took part in many protests during that time, doesn't have the right to an opinion because he is White and obviously not one of Holder's "people." In a series of questions and comments earlier in the hearing, Culberson insisted that race had infected the decision-making process.

Politico:

"There’s clearly evidence, overwhelming evidence, that your Department of Justice refuses to protect the rights of anybody other than African Americans to vote," the Texas Republican said. "There's a pattern of a double standard here."

Holder's reply was that he disagreed - vehemently - that there is any such evidence. But there is such evidence. There is the testimony of two people who were integral parts of the Department of Justice and the handling of the case until the social justice agenda commenced. One was transferred to the hinterlands, and the second quit because the Department was so lacking in integrity. The one who quit, J. Christian Adams said a DOJ department head stated there would be no attempt to prosecute Black wrongdoers for any kind of voter fraud or intimidation, but there was no plan to also exempt Whites for doing the same - or any other ethnicity.

In the first place, the New Black Panthers (three of them) refused to show up to court - over and over for a five month period. A default judgment was handed down. Holder refused to honor it and ordered the case dismissed. Some inside Justice were outraged, not to mention those inside Congress. One of the Black Panthers wielding a nightstick that day in Philadelphia said this:

i has waited all my life for the day that Strong Black men could stand outside a voting poll in a Honk neighborhood and beat republiKKKan voters with a baseball bat to keep the motherfu**ers from voting for they racist candidate and walk away scott free and be a hero in the black community,,,,,,,,,,and that day finally here

The New Black Panthers are Eric Holder's "people," and he will have his brand of justice for them. The lawlessness of this administration, and this so-called Justice Department is despicable.

This young man speaking works for Noodles & Company, a company that was started by one man and his wife with seed money invested by friends and family.  The businessman worked hard and made a successful  business with locations across the United States creating jobs and employing Americans, like the numskull in this video who obviously has no understanding of how business works.


The really good stuff starts around minute 2:55 or so but you really need to watch it all.




He wants to teach people the "truth" about history and socialism.  Perhaps we should teach this little boy the reality of life.

1.  Life is not fair. Get used to it.

2.  The real world won't care as much about your self-esteem. It'll expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself.

3.  You don't want to follow your boss's rules, quit your job and start your own company.  You will find things very different when you run your own company.

4.  Look around at your fellow "socialists".  How many are in fact Upper Middle-Class, bored kids living off of Mommy and Daddy or aging Hippies who still think that work is a dirty 4-letter word. (But throwing around the F-word isn't wrong.)

5.  You are just one worker. So why don't you ask your fellow workers if they like your ideas. I bet you the older, mature ones will laugh at you.

Socialism didn't work under the Soviet Union for the simple fact that without the incentive to succeed or fail, with the incentive to earn more money, with a boss willing to put his or her own money in jeopardy, people will not strive their hardest at work.  Why bother to even work when you cannot be fired, get no bonuses for working harder than others, and you don't own the company, the government does.

The sad fact is that this idiot will never grow up. He will never be more than a minimum wage earner blaming everybody but himself for his failures.

Useless Discours-Another Israel-Bashing Event at UC-Irvine

I must be a glutton for punishment. Last night at UC-Irvine, I thought my head was going to explode. Once again, Israel was on the plate as the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) featured three Jewish speakers (one an Israeli, the other two American). They all had one thing in common. They are on the Palestinian side. (Welcome to the club.)

The three were two women from Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), a "Progressive" organization that opposes Israel. Their names were Estee Chandler and Rachel Roberts. The latter actually participated in the recent disruption of Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's speech in New Orleans. The third was a guy named Matan Cohen, a young Israeli who is a Palestinian-supporting activist and member of Anarchists against the wall. (That should give you a clue.) His claim to fame is that he regularly gets tuned up and/or shot by Israeli IDF forces during his demonstration activities.  They each spoke for about 20 minutes.

Briefly summarized, Chandler and Roberts presentations were devoid of any substance. They were just their FEELINGS about the Israelis' "injustices" toward the Palestinians. Chandler claimed to be an ex-actress and rattled off a list of her screen credits which I didn't pay any attention to. Yet, this former actress had to read her entire presentation from her laptop. Her voice cracked several times during her time speaking. (Stage fright, I guess.)

It was Cohen who was the most interesting speaker. He clearly has passion for his beliefs and described several experiences first-hand. His flaw is that he exudes arrogance as he gets warmed up. In fact, I would compare him a bit to Ben White, that British twit who spoke a few months earlier at UCI. Cohen is Ben White on steroids.,

Here is the important fact that came out of their presentations. Both Roberts and Cohen made it crystal clear that in their view, defenders of Israel should not enjoy free speech rights. Roberts defended her actions in disrupting Netanyahu's speech. Both Roberts and Cohen made it a point to defend and salute the so-called "Irvine 11." (The disruption of the Israeli ambassador to the US' speech at UCI last year.) Cohen said that had he been there, he would have done it too.  Roberts described these actions of disruption as .....

"DIRECT ACTION".




Cohen described presentations such as Michael Oren (Israeli ambassador to the US) as....

"USELESS DISCOURSE."

Sounds like language from the good old days of Joseph Stalin, doesn't it? I heard that term used two or three times last night.

Cohen also made another arrogant observation, indirectly referring to long-standing claims that certain people at UCI did not feel comfortable or safe on campus. Cohen told us that those who would defend Israel should not feel comfortable on campus. Both Cohen and Roberts made references to the "fact" that members of Stand With US (a Jewish/Israel advocacy group) were present and filming-looking in my direction since I was sitting in front of a woman who was filming the event. All three made occasional references to the claim that they were being courageous as Jews for speaking out. (Their side doesn't have the "resources" to get their voice heard, according to Roberts.)

Well, when the Q and A started, my question/statement was obvious. It went something like this:

I said that I was happy to note that they had been allowed to speak without any disruption, but that they had made it clear that they did not believe people with opposing opinions should enjoy that right. I told them that it didn't take any courage for them, even as Jews, to come to a campus and bash Israel. Basically, they were actually a dime a dozen on a college campus. I pointed out that I had been present at the Oren affair (disrupted by the Muslim Student Union) and that it was "ugly". I referred to the JVP disruption in New Orleans and also pointed out that a few days previous, SJP in Scotland had disrupted and actually shut down a presentation by an Israeli official-invading the stage in the process. I then addressed Cohen by adding that for him as an Israeli to come to our country and tell us who should and shouldn't have the right to speak was offensive and arrogant. I told him that this was not Israel but America where everyone had the right to speak.

His reply?

"Thank you very much."

Next question.

Later, while answering a question, Roberts pointed at me and stated that I had said that someone from another country (Cohen) didn't or shouldn't have the right to come to America and voice his opinion. When I responded by telling that was not what I said, she shook her finger and me and shouted, "Yes you did!".

I told her she was lying. What I actually said to Cohen is what is written above-as any videotape will confirm (which I will be posting shortly).

What we heard last night was another dime a dozen, one-sided  Palestinian narrative. Here is what was deliberately left out of the presentation last night.

There was no talk about suicide bombings and Palestinian terrorism.

While Roberts and Chandler spoke often about historical anti-Semitism in Europe and America, there was no mention of the anti-Semitism raging in the Arab world.

There was no mention or context of the three wars in which Arab armies tried to wipe out Israel in 1948, 1967 and 1973.

I heard Yassir Arafat's name mentioned about three times in a neutral context. Nothing was said about what a murderous, corrupt terrorist Arafat was.

When condemning Israel's various military actions, there was no mention whatsoever as to the context in which Israel acted (i.e. the fighting in Gaza).

To sum in up, there was nothing new  last night; just another dime a dozen, boiler plate recital of Israel's perceived wrongs. But what really came out loud and clear was that these speakers and the organizations they represent openly stated that their opponents should not enjoy the right of free speech that they enjoyed last night. What it really boils down to is that this just a bunch of leftist radicals who showed any reasonable observer what "progressives" (which they label themselves as being) are really about.

Useless discourse, indeed.

Gaddafi Spoof Video Excites Libyans Until...They Find An Israeli Produced It!

A young Israeli man, Noy Alooshe, saw Muammar Gaddafi's televised speech when all manner of things looked strange: his clothing, his arm movements and his speech about how he planned to hunt down anti-government protesters. The result is this video spoof, which Libyans are loving, and most probably don't know an an Israeli created it.

Noy Alooshe:

...the Libyan leader vowed to hunt down protesters “inch by inch, house by house, home by home, alleyway by alleyway,” and immediately identified it as a “classic.”

“He was dressed strangely, and he raised his arms” like at a trance party, Mr. Alooshe said Sunday in a telephone interview, referring to the gatherings that feature electronic dance music. Then there were Colonel Qaddafi’s words with their natural beat.

Alooshe use the music of rapper Pitbull, "Hey Baby," and software to sync the dictator's movements to the music. The Zenga Zenga title is a further spoof on Gaddafi's use of the word "zanqa" which means "alleyway." In a matter of a few days, the video had close to 500,000 hits.

Mr. Alooshe, who at first did not identify himself on the clip as an Israeli, started receiving enthusiastic messages from all around the Arab world. Web surfers soon discovered that he was a Jewish Israeli from his Facebook profile — Mr. Alooshe plays in a band called Hovevey Zion, or the Lovers of Zion — and some of the accolades turned to curses. A few also found the video distasteful.

At the site of the YouTube video, I saw a comment that said "Israel stands with the People of Libya - Long Live Freedom, Long Live Peace." Anglos' in Texas - It's Over for You!

"It's basically over for Anglos" in Texas. It's a terrible situation that you are in. I am worried," says Demographer, Steve Murdock said.

Two of every three Texas children are now non-Anglo and the trend line will become even more pronounced in the future, said Murdock, former U.S. Census Bureau director and now director of the Hobby Center for the Study of Texas at Rice University.

B y 2040, only 20 percent of the state's public school enrollment will be Anglo, he said. Last year, non-Hispanic white children made up 33.3 percent of the state's 4.8 million public school enrollment.

The state's future looks bleak assuming the current trend line does not change because education and income levels for Hispanics lag considerably behind Anglos, he said.

Unless the trend line changes, 30 percent of the state's labor force will not have even a high school diploma by 2040, he said. And the average household income will be about $6,500 lower than it was in 2000. That figure is not inflation adjusted so it will be worse than what it sounds.

How About a Newt Gingrich - Allen West Ticket for November 2012?

Newt Gingrich is such a loose cannon. He says three things I love and then completely decimates conservatism with the fourth. At a Palm Beach County fundraiser, Gingrich said if he wins the Republican nomination for president he will "strongly consider" a Floridian as his running mate. He specifically mentioned new Republican Congressman Allen West, an American hero by every measure and a true conservative, which Gingrich is not.

When West was asked about the Gingrich statement he said this:

“I have to pray about it and I have to clear it with my wife and two daughters,” he added. “I never thought that seven years ago when I retired here I’d be a United States Congressman.”

I would come close to voting for whomever puts West on the ticket for Vice President, because I believe he will hold that person's feet to fire. The other bonus is, I would have the opportunity to vote for West for president in 2020.
