The Latest Tally Of Muslim Brotherhood Destruction Of Churches
The following list of 58 looted and burned buildings (including convents and schools) has been verified by representatives of the Christian Churches.
Cairo (AsiaNews) - At least 58 Christian churches, schools, institutions, homes and shops have been attacked, looted and torched over the last three days by the Muslim Brotherhood and supporters of Mohamed Morsi, the former Egyptian president who was deposed on 3 July . On August 14 the army has tried to evict the sit-in of the Islamists in Rabaa El Nahda Square and Adaweya. In a wave of devastating violence, over 600 people were killed and thousands injured. But violent attacks were also carried out on Catholic, Orthodox, Evangelical churches as well as the homes and shops of Christians, as we have documented
The representatives of the Christian Churches have drawn up a list which we publish below. The list was handed over to AsiaNews by the Press Office of the Catholic Church in Egypt.

Why Can't Johnny Read?
In a few weeks children will be returning to school. In the olden times (before 1970) they would have learned reading, writing and arithmetic. Today they learn love of socialism, Godlessness, and sexuality. And you wonder why Johnny can't read.
SURPRISE: HIGH SCHOOL GRADS CAN'T READFor 50 years the leftists have told the American population that they know what and how to teach American children. And the results are in. Young men and women who are functionally (if not literally) illiterate. Young men and women who have been taught that the moon and stars fall upon their heads. That they are the greatest for just existing. That their poop don't stink. (IT DOES!!!) These overpaid babysitters believe that children don't need to read and write. Just to be able to fill out a welfare form.

City University of New York officials raised some eyebrows last week when they revealed that 80 percent of the high school grads who enroll in CUNY can’t read, write, or do basic arithmetic. If you’re a New York City high school grad, that means eight out of ten.
Not to worry: tests administered by the U.S. Dept. of Education show that, nationwide, only 30 percent of eighth-graders in the public schools—that’s just three out of ten—can read like eighth-graders.
Do you still wonder why Obama’s president?
Meanwhile, what does it cost us to mal-educate whole generations of Americans?
As of 2009, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, New York City spent $19,000 per illiterate student per year. If you had to pay that much tuition for a private school, and your kid could barely read a bubble-gum wrapper, you’d think you were being ripped off.
But it’s not just New York. In ten years, Wisconsin doubled its per-pupil spending on the public schools, from just under $5,000 in 1998 to over $10,000 in 2008. Government tests, though, find that only 32 percent of the kids in Wisconsin’s public schools can read properly. On the other hand, these kids do know how to demonstrate against the state’s evil plan to make teachers pay a wee bit of their own pension and health care costs. So it’s not like they’re learning nothing at all.
Public school kids learn a lot of cool stuff that has nothing to do with reading, writing, or arithmetic. They learn that you can be any “gender” you want, on any given day. They learn all about the evils of capitalism (it causes Global Warming, you know) and the ineffable goodness of socialism. They learn an enormous amount about homosexuality as a universal good. They learn that the Holy Bible is hate literature, that their parents’ Christian beliefs are obsolete and wrong, and that “religion” in general—except when it’s used by Democrat politicians to justify abortion, sodomite mock marriage, and class warfare—is something vaguely obscene that must be rigorously kept out of public discourse.
They simply don’t have time to learn to read.
As for those arcane and esoteric realms of knowledge, like history and literature and civics—well, really, there’s just no need for it. You don’t need to know that stuff to get food stamps and yack on your Obama phone. That’s the kind of learning that only unsettles the common herd and makes like difficult for the rulers. It’s so much better to teach that redistribution of wealth makes everybody happy.
Let’s face it, America. You have handed over your whole posterity, your country’s future, to anti-Christian teacher unions, theorizers, homosexual activists, and politicians-for-hire who despise your country and want to “transform” it into something else—a lot of Hugo Chavez wannabes. Oh, and they despise you, too.
Nineteen grand a year for a high school education (I use the term loosely) that doesn’t include acquiring an ability to read proficiently—are you out of your minds, agreeing to a deal like that? Because you have agreed, folks. By sending your children to those costly but inept schools day after day, year after you, you have consented to be swindled.
“Oh, my school district’s not like that!” Are you serious? We’re talking national findings here, from sea to shining sea. The odds are two-to-one that your school district’s failing. If you live in New York City, it’s four-to-one your local public school’s a dud.
So we’re training up tomorrow’s citizens and voters to be dullards at best, and corrupt, lazy, and immoral bastards at worst, if they get the whole public education smorgasbord of sex, socialism, and self-esteem.
So we’re training up tomorrow’s citizens and voters to be dullards at best, and corrupt, lazy, and immoral bastards at worst, if they get the whole public education smorgasbord of sex, socialism, and self-esteem.
Yes, I know: probably you don’t believe it. “They aren’t proselytizing for gay marriage in my son’s school!” Don’t bet on it. Schools never release the details of their sex education curriculum unless forced to by a lawsuit. They don’t let the kids take the classroom materials home with them, and most kids are embarrassed to discuss these lessons with their parents. The school doesn’t even hire a substitute if the sex ed teacher is absent.
If the schools were as guiltless as you think they are, our country wouldn’t be as confused, confounded, and as broke as you can see it is.
If you had to pay for this education you would have been suing the schools for fraud. No parent willingly accepts this type of education for their child if they are paying for it. But call it a "Free Education", paid for by taxpayers, then it is acceptable.
In a high technological society such as we live in functional illiteracy is not just unacceptable, but leads to the downfall of that form of society.

Apparently, that would be the Muslim Brotherhood as they continue the mantra that peaceful protesters have been massacred by security forces. never mind that over 60 security personnel have been killed. Never mind that those "peaceful sit-in" sites were centers of rapes and killings of suspected spies Never mind the fact that those poor protesters holed up in a Cairo mosque only found themselves there after after attacking a nearby police station. Never mind the 60 or so Christian churches attacked and burned to the ground by Muslim Brotherhood supporters. Here is today's propaganda piece from Ikhwan Web, the MB's English-language web site:

Meanwhile, here in the US, our own leaders on both sides of the aisle, in the White House, State Department and Congress, have no clue what to do. Last week Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham issued a joint statement to the President urging him to stop aid to Egypt based on the actions of the military-led government. They said not one word about the plight of the Coptic Christians.
Shame on them.

Girandoni air rifle as used by Lewis and Clark
Click here if the video fails to load.
This is the air rifle that Lewis and Clark took on their expedition and AMAZED the Indians!!!!
It takes 1500 strokes to pump this rifle to full pressure, after which it could shoot more than 400 .46 cal. round balls, each of which can blast a clean hole through a 1 inch pine board at 100 yards.
This is a VERY interesting gun ! How many of you very gun- knowledgeable folks out there even knew that a rifle like this ever existed?, especially way back then? I hope you enjoy this, if you can watch it on full screen.

Who'd A Thunk?
It is legal to read the Bible out loud in front of the DMZ.
That is right folks. A pair of Christian men, Mark Mackey and Bret Coronado were arrested for reading the Bible out loud in front of the DMV in Hemet, California in 2011. That is right. Arrested and placed in jail.

Hat Tip to Stop the ACLU
A court has said that a pair of Christians were “allowed” to read the Bible aloud outside the Department of Motor Vehicles in Hemet, California. Wasn’t it kind of the government courts in California to say that these Christians were allowed to have their rights to free religious expression?
Back in 2011 Mark Mackey and Bret Coronado were arrested and charged with misdemeanor offenses for reading the Bible outside the DMV location.
Click here if video fails to load.
But on August 13, Superior Court Judge Timothy Freer found the men “not guilty” of any offenses.
Prosecutors had to prove that the men needed a permit for their Bible reading, but were not able to make that case.
According to a full report at Advocates for Faith and Freedom,
In order for the prosecution to prove that a permit was required under Title 13, Section 1860 of the California Administrative Code, it was required to prove that the defendants were engaged in a “demonstration or gathering” as defined in Section 1851. Judge Freer ruled that there was insufficient evidence to prove that the men conducted either a “demonstration or gathering.” Both definitions require that the conduct of defendants was such that it had “the effect, intent or propensity to draw a crowd or onlookers” and the prosecution couldn’t prove that to be the case.“The prosecution failed to meet its burden of proof that our clients committed a crime when they read the Bible aloud in front a line of people,” said AFF attorney Robert Taylor.
Interestingly, the judge also pointed out that the law prosecutors tried to invoke was likely unconstitutional as it gave law enforcement over broad powers to quash public gatherings in the first place. Sadly, this case did not go toward settling the constitutionality of the law, but it was a victory of sorts to have the judge even mention the fact.
Egyptian Military Chief Vows To Rebuild Coptic Churches
I have heard the Lame Stream Media cry over the deaths to Muslim Brotherhood supporters by the Egyptian Military for the last few days. Crocodile tears from the liberal elites towards a people who from the first moment they took control of Egypt, until today have systematically murdered, raped, looted and destroyed the Coptic Church and its members. You can read their latest destruction of these churches in one day here. I am sure that the Muslim Brotherhood would have attacked the Jews of Egypt but there are only 19 old women left in the whole nation.
Right before the Egyptian Military retook control of the nation, the Muslim Brotherhood and its allies went on a 2 week rampage against the Coptic Church. Not a word about that from the world.
Today the Egyptian Defense Minister Col. Gen. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has vowed to rebuild all the Coptic Churches.
The Egyptian defense minister has ordered the repair and reconstruction of all churches that suffered damage in the country’s violent demonstrations since the Egyptian military removed President Mohamed Morsi from power last month. The Muslim Brotherhood should be forced to pay for the damage. All the damages. But don't hold your breath.
Defense minister Col. Gen. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi intends to fix the damage to Coptic churches at Rabaa Adaweya and Nahda squares, according to a report by the Mid-East Christian News.
Dozens of churches were attacked and burned in riots after thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Cairo and other Egyptian cities to demand the end of what they call military rule, following the removal of Morsi on July 3. Many of Morsi's supporters have voiced criticism at Egypt's Christian minority for largely supporting the military's decision to oust him from office.
“The Egyptian defense minister ordered the engineering department of the armed forces to swiftly repair all the affected churches, in recognition of the historical and national role played by our Coptic brothers,” read a statement that aired on Egyptian television.
Bishop Mousa thanked Sisi for his efforts to repair the damaged churches.
“We thank Col. Gen. Sisi for commissioning the brave Egyptian armed forces to rebuild the places of worship damaged during the recent events,” Bishop Mousa said on Twitter.
17 deaths were reported Friday after several days of violence that caused more than 638 deaths and 4,000 injuries in clashes between Morsi supporters and Egyptian military forces.
The Maspero Youth Union, a Coptic Christian youth movement, says there’s a "retaliation war" against the religious minority, which makes up around 10 percent of Egypt's population, according to a report by AFP.
The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR), an Egyptian NGO, says at least 25 churches were torched this week, and attackers also targeted Christian schools, shops and homes across all 27 provinces.

Muslims: Stop the Killing-Stop the Hate
Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com
With some 30 or so Christian churches going up in flames in Egypt and Christians fleeing for their lives in Syria, is it not time to drop the pretenses? All across the Islamic world, non-Muslims are being persecuted, raped, arrested, murdered and their places of worship burned. We would be reading the same about the Jews, but they fled back in the late 1940s. Most settled in Israel, which the Arab world would incinerate tomorrow if they could. And make no mistake; that conflict is not about land. It is about religion. If the Israelis were Muslims, this would not even be an issue.
Even in Europe, Jews dare not walk the streets lest they be assaulted or spit upon by Muslim punks roaming the streets like rat packs. And if there are no Jews or Christians to kill, well, why not kill each other? Just yesterday in Iraq, another 30 or so Muslims were killed by car bombs set by other Muslims-Sunnis vs Shia.
One would think that the world would rise up as one and call for an end to the insanity. It doesn't, however. Instead, the world wrings it hands over charges of "Islamophobia" when anyone cries out over the horrors of the Middle East, Pakistan, Iran, Sudan, Nigeria, the beheadings, the stonings of women, or the crimes and assaults committed by Muslim immigrants in Europe. When people point out the calls for murder coming out of mosques and identify the passages and the texts that are the basis for these fatwas, they are called "Islamophobes".
Because Islam is a religion of peace.
That is what Muslim leaders here in America tell us over and over again neglecting to mention that Islam is also a political ideology-and a totalitarian one at that, which does not recognize any division between religion and the state.
I have personally heard Imam Muzammil Siddiqi, formerly the head of the Islamic Society of North America and one of the most influential Muslim leaders in the country, tell an audience in California that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. Really? Where is the peace? Where is the tolerance?
I have also heard an Ahmadi Imam tell an audience at UC Irvine what a forgiving man the Prophet Mohammed was. He forgave and released his enemies.
"The Koran tells us, "If you kill one man, it is if you killed all of humanity. If you save one man, you save all of humanity." That is true, but in other so many other parts (written later in time) it calls for the killing of people. That is because the Prophet was then at war.
But back to Egypt. Who are we to blame for the bloodshed in Egypt? Is it corrupt military leaders trying to hold onto power? Or is it the Muslim Brotherhood trying to install an Islamic caliphate and spread it as far as they can? A combination of both?
Who is burning the churches? It is not the military. Safe to say, the work is being done by Muslims who support the Muslim Brotherhood.
Even in Syria, which some say is a war that has nothing to do about religion, we see rebels (whom we support) executing their captives to cries of "Allahu Akhbar" and "Takbir". Meanwhile, Syrian Christians are fleeing for their lives from those same rebels that we support.
Is it not time for all of us to stand up and ask, "If Islam is a religion of peace then why all the killing? Why all the hate directed at non-Muslims?" Is it not time to drop the term, "radical Islam" and admit that it is simply Islam?
But that would be "Islamophobic". Such a statement would wind up in the files of the learned professor Hatem Bazian's Islamophobia Research and Documentation Project up at UC Berkeley all neatly filed and tied with a ribbon and bow for the day they can be turned over to Eric Holder's Justice Department for criminal prosecution.
No. It is high time we openly told these Muslim leaders that if Islam is a religion of peace, it is time to demonstrate it and live by it. It is not just for little people like me to say it; it is time for the leaders of the Western World and those parts of Asia that want to remain free to say it. It is time to tell the Islamists and jihadists to forget their dreams of Islamic domination because we as free people will not submit. Furthermore, we will not allow good Muslim citizens of our own countries to be abused by somebody's vision of sharia law that mandates death for things we in the West do not even consider criminal, such as apostasy, blasphemy, adultery and homosexuality, to say nothing about so-called "honor killings".
It is also time for foolish pastors and rabbis to forget these inter-faith conferences in which they allow themselves and their flocks to be misled by imams whose real agenda is bringing about an eventual Islamic caliphate right here in America and the West. I am thinking specifically about Pastor Ed Bacon of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, who last year allowed the Muslim Public Affairs Council to hold their annual conference at his church and who proclaimed that Christians "could be so hateful" and that "the history of Christianity is littered with acts of evil" -giving as an example, "Evangelical Zionism". I am also thinking of those misguided rabbis in Boston who were cozying up to the radical-linked Islamic Cultural Center in Roxbury and its sister mosque in Cambridge, from which sprouted the Tsarnaev brothers. Those same Jewish leaders excoriated Charles Jacobs of Americans for Peace and Tolerance within the Jewish community when he warned them of the radical affiliations.
Look at them now.
Enough. If people want to stand up for human rights, then we must stand up to this jihad-both the violent one and the more "peaceful" but deceitful civilizational one. We cannot say we defend women if we turn a blind eye to stoning and the obvious misogyny and second-class citizenship of women who have to live hidden behind the veil. We may not be able to change it in the Middle East, but we can prevent it from taking root here. We cannot say we defend gay rights when we turn a blind eye to the fate of Iranian gays who are being hanged for their sexual orientation. It is all according to shariah. Any claims that shariah law is compatible with our Constitution are flat out lies.
The problem is that we do ignore it. It would be too inconvenient to talk about it-at least for our leaders. In Europe it could land even the common guy in jail. It may yet do that here in the US soon if this current administration has its way. We also ignore the rampant anti-Semitism which did not appear out of nowhere. It is in the Islamic texts. Read it. It's all there; the anti-Christianity, the anti-Semitism. Listen to the words of Yusuf al Qaradawi, one of the most highly respected Islamic scholars in the world and the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Read the opinions coming out of Cairo's prestigious Al Azhar (Islamic) University. Read the interpretations of the most-respected al Bukhari school of Islamic thought about all these questions.
But we concern ourselves with "Islamophobia" because, after all, Islam is a religion of peace.
Of course it is. That's why the churches are burning in Egypt. That's why the Jews are being driven out of Europe-not by Europeans, but by Muslim immigrants. That's why Sunni and Shia kill each other.
"But," you say. "not all Muslims are like this. Most are decent."
True. But where are their voices amid all the outrages? The fact is that they make themselves irrelevant through their silence. Is it fear? Is it that those non-Arabs don't know Arabic and can't really interpret the Koran or the Hadith? Is it a recognition that they cannot win the theological debate with the jihadists? I don't know; perhaps, it is a combination of all of the above.
But I know one thing.
The daily acts of terror around the world contradict claims that Islam is a religion of peace.
The daily acts of intolerance toward Christians and Jews contradict claims that Islam is a religion of tolerance.
It is an incontrovertible fact that it is Muslims who are carrying out almost all of the terror and intolerance around the world. It is happening in the Middle East. It is happening in Pakistan. It is happening in Africa. It is even happening in Europe, the US and the West. And it is all being done in the name of their religion.
But Islam is a religion of peace.
Is that why we experienced 9-11?
Is that why British soldier Lee Rigby was slaughtered recently on the streets of London? The killers told us why they did it.
Is that why Mohammed Merah went on a killing rampage at a Jewish school in Toulouse, France. He told the cops why he did it before he was shot and killed.
Is that why European cities are being subjected to riots?
Is that why car bombs are killing people by the dozens every few days in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan?
Is that why two Chechen "refugees" set off bombs in Boston?
Isolated incidents? How many more would you like me to list? There have been over 20,000 just since 9-11.
Islamophobia? How do you define it? No matter how you do, you cannot condemn people for having fears or negative feelings about Muslims and their faith, religion, political ideology, or however you define it. It is logical, and there is every reason to feel fear, mistrust, or even hate. I still cling to the, perhaps, naive notion that most Muslims are good people and should not suffer for all that is happening around us.
But don't expect us to swallow the mantra that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance.

Proposed Constitution For The Newstates Of America
Hat Tip to a12iggymom
Read this document very carefully. For it is the Constitution that the President and Democrats will force upon us. A Constitution that gives us no freedoms, no rights, no free government. When you read this you will be reminded of how the former Soviet Union was. This is the Constitution that President Barack Hussein Obama, Senator Harry Reid, and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi are operating under.

A CONSTITUTION FOR THE NEWSTATES OF AMERICA, from the book, THE EMERGING CONSTITUTION by Rexford G. Tugwell, published 1974 (Harper & Row: $20.00) illustrates with chilling clarity the final objective of regional governance conspirators. The goal is a corporate state concentrating economic, political and social powers in the hands of a ruling elite. “A Constitution for the Newstates of America”, is the fortieth version of this revolutionary document prepared by a team of social experimenters at the CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS, Fund for the Republic (Ford Foundation), Post Office Box 4068, Santa Barbara, California 93103.
The Center, its first objective accomplished, has appointed socialist-oriented University of Denver Chancellor Maurice B. Mitchell as its new head and may merge with the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies, a Colorado-based world government policy promotion agency.
Aspen Institute Chairman is Robert O. Anderson, chief executive officer, Atlantic Richfield Company; member, Committee for Economic Development (laid ground work for regional government), and advisory board member, Institute for International Education. Anderson is the principal figure in campaign aimed at seizing control of the National Rifle Association.

As Barack Obama, John Kerry and our State Department wring their hands over the Egyptian crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood, Coptic Christian churches are burning in Egypt. The above video comes from Sohag, Egypt and shows the attack on St George's Church.
As Obama opens the floodgates for refugees from Syria, let's see how many Christians we offer refuge to. I am betting precious few. We wouldn't want them to come here and spread malicious gossip about what is going on in their homelands, would we? We already know what happened to the most recent Copt from Egypt who did that.

My Dad's Friends, Says Jesus
Stolen from Simply Jews
(A Russian joke, loosely translated)
A Russian orthodox Priest dies and goes to Heaven. Upon arrival, he is being greeted by Jesus who hands him the keys to a Volga* and offers to take him for a ride of sightseeing. They drive for a while, enjoying the beauty of the paradise, the birds of paradise, the sun of paradise etc, when an Imam on a big brute of a BMW, with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and speakers blazing at full volume easily overtakes their Volga.
"What the heck...", blubbers and sputters the Priest, looking questioningly at Jesus.
"Well, you see, the man was a teetotaler his whole life, so he deserves a consideration in Heaven", is the answer.
So they proceed with the trip and all is well, and then a Catholic Abbot in a huge Chevrolet, chock full with semi-dressed ladies, loudspeakers etc, overtakes their Volga.
"And what was that now?" cries the old Priest, almost choking on bile.
"The man was celibate for so long, so now he is allowed to have a go at it", replied Jesus.
The Priest barely suppresses his ire, when a humongous golden Bentley with a few rabbis, crates of drink, blaring music and girls swishes by and disappears over the horizon.
"Don't even ask, cause I simply don't know," turns Jesus to the Priest, "these are some of Dad's buddies.

Wednesday's Hero

Sgt. Philip A. McCulloch, Jr.
Company K, Third Battalion, Fifth Marines, Regimental Combat Team Eight, SECOND Marine Division (Forward), I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward)

The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Sergeant Philip A. McCulloch, Jr., United States Marine Corps, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action while serving as Squad Leader, Company K, Third Battalion, Fifth Marines, Regimental Combat Team Eight, SECOND Marine Division (Forward), I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) Afghanistan on 8 January 2011 in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. During a six-hour engagement with insurgent forces in Sangin District, Sergeant McCulloch led his squad of Marine sin a determined pursuit of a numerically superior enemy force. After being attacked by enemy fighters, he personally led his squad's counter attack by assuming point and closing on the enemy, pausing just long enough to destroy an enemy fighting positions with an AT-4. Once he regained the initiative, he pursued the enemy into a nearby row of compounds and forced them into fixed positions where many of them were destroyed by close air support and indirect fires, combined with maneuver. Maintaining constant pressure on the enemy, he forced them to fall back as aircraft departed for fuel and ammunition re-supply. Throughout the engagement, he aggressively drove his Marines to remain focused, exposing himself to enemy fire to identify enemy positions and coordinate fires in support of maneuver. Even after beginning to return to base, as the enemy again engaged the Marines, he controlled another section of helicopters with devastating effects, allowing his squad to return to friendly lines. By his bold leadership, wise judgment, and complete dedication to duty, Sergeant McCulloch reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and of the United States Naval Service.
These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom. For that I am proud to call them Hero.

List Of Terrorists Being Released This Week For No Good Reason. And Their Forgotten Victims.
Hat Tip to Elder of Ziyon
Here is the list of terrorist being released by Israel on August 14 in exchange for literally nothing.
I once made an infographic about what Israel gets back from "goodwill gestures."
Hebrew list here.
There are apparently 12 Arab victims, presumably Israeli Arabs, listed here. Since no reporter seems to bother asking the families of Jewish victims how they feel knowing that the murderers of their loved ones are being freed for no reason, I wonder whether anyone will ask the Arab families what they think about this deal.
Here is the list of terrorist being released by Israel on August 14 in exchange for literally nothing.

I once made an infographic about what Israel gets back from "goodwill gestures."
