One has to remember that Mr. Condell is an Atheist who refuses to accept any religion as legitimate, he is also a man who is a great voice for FREEDOM.  Mr. Condell doesn't try to impose his beliefs (or lack of them), his atheism on the world.  For that I salute him and respect him.  He does have a right to speak his mind, and believe or not to believe in G-d.

If only this were a reality. It’s NOT, but we can make it real! It all starts with an idea, and moves along when We, The People of courage have the fortitude to make it so. Here is how it would work:

1. No Tenure / No Pension.

2. A Member of Congress collects a salary while in office and receives no pay once they’re out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

4. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. These funds may not be used for any other purpose.

5. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans can.

6. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

7. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

8. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

9. All contracts with past and present Congressional members will be held null and void effective 12/1/12. 

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person reading this contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S.) to receive the message. Don’t you think it’s time?

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!

Don’t think I have anything against ANY particular Congresscritter, I don’t, but no one, man or woman, needs to spend their entire life in the Congress, Senate or on a Federal Bench as a Judge!

ABC's Brian Ross Should be Fired!

There is no words I can say to condemn Brian Ross for accusing an innocent man before all the fact concerning the Terror Attack in Aurora, Colorado by James Holmes.  Instead of actually waiting for all the facts to be revealed, Mr. Ross in his zeal to blame the Right and more specifically the TEA Party for this horror.

I happened to be watching ABC news this morning when "crack" investigative reporter, Brian Ross, said that he noticed on Facebook that a "Jim Holmes" was a member of the Colorado Tea Party.

Imagine that! He's dropped that little bomb just to tarnish the Tea Party and to link it with domestic terrorism. He didn't care if it was true or not. He did it with absolutely no facts to back up his allegation! He just wanted to make the connection in the viewer's minds. In the process, he tarnished every person who happens to be named James or Jim Holmes.

A number of people who were watching the news began to Tweet about this strange un-backed-up comment made by Ross.
It didn't take long for ABC to issue a wee little retraction in the Editor's Notes of a much longer article Aurora Suspect James Holmes' Mother: 'You Have the Right Person'

Editor's Note: An earlier ABC News broadcast report suggested that a Jim Holmes of a Colorado Tea Party organization might be the suspect, but that report was incorrect. ABC News and Brian Ross apologize for the mistake, and for disseminating that information before it was properly vetted.

That report was "incorrect"???  That one sentence above constitutes an apology??? No. A mistake. Hardly!

What Ross did  was intended as a hatchet job and Ross rushed it to the airwaves so he could be first just on the off chance it might be true. He obviously took that chance because he knew he wouldn't get into much trouble - a little hand slap or less? Perhaps even a congratulatory slap on the back from his bosses at ABC?

If ABC was sincere they'd fire Ross. The least they should do is a descent feature on tonight's news with a very penitent Brian Ross offering more than just a few mea culpas!
How sad that journalistic standards have fallen so low.

Fallen low is not the word that I would use.  Having a leftist agenda is more like it.  An agenda to rid Americans of their 2nd Amendment rights.

My heart is breaking over the terror seen last night.  May G-d avenge their deaths and may the families and friends of the dead find solace in the days ahead.  May those who are wounded recover fully and find it in their hearts to rejoice in their lives.  And may the Murderer James Holmes receive justice.  Not only in this world, but in the next.

My Little Pony Invades The US Army

No this is not a sweet piece on how members of the US Army reach out to children in Afghanistan using toys.  That would be a good idea and a wonderful story.  No this is a story about a bunch of grown men who have not learned to grow up.

There's a new insignia showing up on the sleeves of a small group of military men, but instead of denoting rank, it advertises their love for a cartoon inspired by the girlish 1980s plastic toy called "My Little Pony."

So-called "Bronies," adult men who are fans of the TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic," have apparently been around at least since 2010, when the Hasbro-owned cartoon first aired. Within their ranks are "Military Bronies," service members from all branches of the military who share their love of the show and wear the "cutie mark" -- a Rainbow Dash patch on their uniforms, Army Times first reported.

The bond may seem strange for men entrusted with defending their nation, but the Military Bronies' Facebook page has more than 1,500 “likes” and has inspired websites like FOB Equestria, where members proudly display their patches and profess their love for a show aimed at children. In a post to the Facebook page, a self-described serviceman who gave his name, but no branch or rank said fellow Bronies have made a soldier out of him.

"You, the bronies, have taught me that there are things and people worth protecting; things bigger and more important than myself," write Ken "Derpy" Catlin. "All because I decided to watch some "gay" little show about 6 ponies. Again, as I have said before, I cannot thank you, the MLP team, or the ponies themselves enough for what they have done for me, and this world."

Within the larger group, military Bronies hold a place of honor. At a recent convention dubbed "BronyCon 2012" in Secaucus, N.J., civilian Bronies cheered wildly when they spied brethren in uniform, according to the website BuzzFeed.

“We barely made it up to the top steps and everyone outside was cheering for us," a National Guardsman identified as Darius told the site. "I didn’t know they were cheering for us, I thought one of the other guys had showed up, I thought it was [voice of the character "Discord"] John de Lancie or Lauren Faust. I started clapping because I figured if everyone else was clapping I’d do it too. Then my friend was like, ‘no dude, they’re clapping for us.’”

Not everyone gets it. A commenter on a Military Times forum was just one of many who questioned why grown men would feel such allegiance to a kids' cartoon.

“I can think of at least four violations here: wearing a duty uniform while supposedly off-duty or at an unauthorized location; wearing an official Army uniform to an event that I guarantee the Army is not officially involved with; wearing a non-sanctioned patch on the uniform in place of current unit patch; and attending a My Little Pony convention.”

The show airs on Hub, a pay TV channel owned by Hasbro. Knowing the "My Little Pony" franchise has long been associated with little girls, the producers have sought to reel in males with more unisex storylines. The show stars Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn pony and five other ponies who are guided through ponyville by Princess Celestia.

As for the brass, asked if she had ever heard of the phenomenon of Military Bronies, a Pentagon spokeswoman said "I'm unaware of the concept. But when told about Rainbow Dash patches finding their way onto uniforms, the spokeswoman told FoxNews.com there could be a problem.

“Please note, non-authorized, non-military patches are not authorized for wear on military uniforms,” she said.

This has to be the result of our Nanny State education that teaches men to explore their "feminine" side and embrace it.  What we get is half-grown girly-men.  Men or should I better say grown boys, who are unable to feel masculine without guilt.  So what do they do?  They turn to fantasy.  They feel guilty of being men.

Given another generation and there will be no masculine men left.  There will be only femimales, afraid of being men, turning to girlish toys and ideas.

The US Military should come down hard on these soldiers.  They must immediately rip those patches from their uniforms and impose discipline.  They need to teach these men to be men.  Not sissy boys.

Michele Bachmann Replies to Keith Ellison's Letter

This week, you may have heard Senator John McCain speak publicly on behalf of Hillary Clinton's adviser Huma Abedin, the Arab Muslim wife of ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner. McCain feels that members of his own party have unfairly questioned Abedin's loyalty since she reportedly has family members with Muslim Brotherhood connections. This was all prompted by a recent letter to the State Department signed by Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and four other members of Congress concerning Dept. of State contacts with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The letter can be read here.

In addition, Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, also a Muslim, has written to Bachmann demanding to know the basis for any accusations against Ms Abedin. The below report is from Creeping Sharia and contains the complete text of Bachmann's reply to Ellison.

First of all, the Bachmann et al letter did not specifically accuse Abedin of anything. It pointed out family connections and questioned the wisdom of giving her a security clearance. It was Ellison who put his own interpretation on it. I personally agree that there is no solid basis for accusing Abedin of any disloyalty. In her reply to Ellison, Bachmann makes clear there is no accusation, only a question as to her security clearance.

Yet, the statements by Bachmann in her reply to Ellison regarding the Muslim Brotherhood have a solid basis for concern.

If you read Bachmann's reply to Ellison, she points out the Brotherhood letter that was seized by the FBI and introduced in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas (2007), in which the role of the Brotherhood in North America is "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within". (p 2-3) This was the same document that I confronted Brotherhood spokesman Ibrahim El Houdaiby with at UC Irvine in 2008 when he was invited to speak to a UCI class. He claimed the document was a forgery and insisted that the Muslim Brotherhood had no presence in the US-both lies.

Also note the reference to the Islamic Society of North America in Bachmann's letter. The former head of this organization is Imam Muzammil Siddiqi, currently the head of the Islamic Center of Orange County (CA). Siddiqi is the much bally-hooed "bridge builder", who received an award last year from the Orange County Human Relations Commission. Yet, he is one of 100 American Muslim leaders who received-and ignored a 2009 letter from Former Muslims United asking them to sign a pledge that American Muslim apostates should not be harmed. He denied to me having ever received the letter.

In my view, the Bachmann letter to Ellison fully answers his questions. I'm glad that Rep. Bachmann gets it when it comes to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Iran Quds Force Commander Killed in Damascus

Yesterday a bomb exploded at Syria's National Security headquarters not only killed 2 of Assad's top generals, but also got Iran's Quds Force Commander Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani.

Reports in the Arab-language press indicate the head of Iran's covert foreign operations Quds force was killed in Wednesday's bombing in Damascus.

Al-Quds Force's long-elusive commander, Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, is reported to have made several trips to Damascua to meet with Assad and his top commanders since January of this year.

Iran has made no bones about having bolstered Assad's embattled regime with members of its own elite Revolutionary Guard, but the death of Suleimani would be a direct blow to Tehran.

Suleimani, who masterminded al-Quds Force operations in Iraq and covert activities throughout the Persian Gulf and Lebanon, is a key figure in Iranian policymaking, particularly in security matters.

A combat veteran of Iran's 1980-88 war with Iraq, Suleimani took command of the al-Quds Force in the late 1990s and has become a powerful figure in the upper echelons of the Tehran regime.

His death in Wednesday's bombing could indicate Syria's rebels have covert support from Western nations in their anti-Assad campaign.

Reactions To Yesterday's Terror Attack On Israeli Tourists In Bulgaria

A bus carrying Israeli tourists at Bulgaria's Burgas airport suddenly exploded today, killing seven and wounding at least 30 more.

• A U.N. spokesperson said that Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the attack "in the strongest possible terms." In fact, however, the U.N. chief's choice of terms was weak in comparison to his statement two weeks ago on the bombing of churches in Kenya. In that case, Mr. Ban rightly spoke of "terrorist" attacks, "reprehensible and criminal," saying the perpetrators "must be held to account." Yet today he referred only to the deadly "bombing" of Israelis -- noticeably declining to describe it as an act of terrorism -- and he made no call for holding the perpetrators to account. UN Watch today urged Mr. Ban to clarify his position and to truly use the strongest possible terms to condemn today's terrorist attack.

• U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay has remained silent on today's attack. By contrast, hours after the Gaza Flotilla incident of 2010, Ms. Pillay expresed her "shock" and condemned Israel. The top story on her office website instead criticizes Western states for how they combat terrorism, with America accused of having "dangerous" laws that violate due process. Supported by a Facebook campaign now going viral, UN Watch called on the High Commissioner to speak out for victims of terrorism, condemn today's gruesome murders in Bulgaria, and instruct her staff to investigate the perpetrators and hold them fully accountable for the crimes.

• The U.N.'s 47-nation Human Rights Council has also stayed silent. By contrast, in 2004 it wasted no time in convening an emergency session to eulogize Hamas terrorist leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and to condemn Israel. Currently, the council is busy with yet another "fact-finding mission" into alleged Israeli human rights violations. The council has never mandated an inquiry into terrorism or rocket attacks targeting Israelis.

So much for the UN.  I suppose if it was 7 Muslims dead and 30+ more wounded there would be a call for a World Wide Day of Mourning.

7 Dead Because They Were Jews! UPDATED

7 are dead, over 30 are wounded, 9 are missing by a murderer who bordered a bus at the airport in Burgas, Bulgaria on the Black Sea.  Hizbollah has taken credit for this attack and Hizbollah doesn't act without Iran's approval.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is promising a strong reaction after an attack on Israeli tourists that he says was carried out by Iran.

A bus carrying mostly Israeli youth in a Bulgaria exploded near an airport Wednesday, killing 7 people and wounding at least 30 others, local police and hospital officials say. Witnesses told Israeli media that the huge blast occurred soon after someone boarded the vehicle.

A Bulgarian news agency is also reporting that two pregnant women and an 11-year-old Israeli girl are among the wounded.

Bulgarian media is reporting that one of the victims killed is a local tour guide. Nine of the tourists are reportedly still missing, according to Haaretz news.

The incident took place in the Black Sea resort city of Burgas, some 250 miles east of the capital, Sofia. Images shown on Israeli media showed smoke billowing from the scene -- a parking lot at the area's airport where tourists had apparently just landed.

Netanyahu said "all signs point to Iran."

This "is an Iranian terror attack that is spreading across the world," Netanyahu said. "Israel will react strongly to Iran's terror."

Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov told Haaretz that explosives were placed in the back of the bus.

The attack comes on the anniversary of a 1994 attack on a Jewish center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, that killed 85 people. Just this morning, relatives of the victims implored the Argentine government to pressure Iran to turn over seven suspects accused in that attack.

Bulgaria, an eastern European nation, is a popular tourist destination for Israelis.

Although it was not yet certain what caused the blast, Israeli tourists have been targeted in attacks before before, namely in India, Thailand and Azerbaijan. Israel foe Iran is suspected of being behind these assaults.

Another spokesman for the Israeli ministry would not confirm that it was an attack. "We don't know if it was a terror attack," Paul Hirschson said. "We do know it was an explosion."

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Jonathan Rosenzweig said a flight from Tel Aviv had landed at a quarter to 5 p.m. and that the blast took place about 40 minutes later.

The tourists were apparently boarding the bus en route to their hotels.

The airport in Burgas was closed after the blast. At least 10 fire trucks are battling flames from the explosion, police say.

Witness Gal Malka told Israel's Channel 2 TV that she saw someone board the bus before it exploded. She also noted that the bus was full of Israeli teenagers.

Officials said Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman had spoken with his Bulgarian counterpart and was being kept abreast of the developments. Bulgarian leaders, including President Rosen Plevneliev were on their way to the site.

There are report unverified that there are celebrations in Gaza and PA controlled parts of Judea and Samaria.  I believe these reports for these barbarians know no civilized behavior, no common good.  They know only death and hatred.  Hatred taught by their pedophile Prophet Muhammad (May He Burn in Hell) and the members of Hamas and Fatah.

UPDATE:

President Obama is strongly condemning a "barbaric terrorist attack" against Israeli tourists in Bulgaria.

Obama says his thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed and injured, and he calls the attacks against innocent civilians "completely outrageous." He says the U.S. will stand with its allies and work to "identify and bring to justice the perpetrators of this attack."

Obama says the U.S. reaffirms its "unshakeable commitment to Israel's security."

Israel has blamed Iran for the deadly blast in the Black Sea city of Burgas, Bulgaria, that killed at least six people and injured at least 32 others.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says she was "deeply saddened and angered" to learn of the attacks.

How comforting to the victims that President Obama condemns the deaths of 7 Jews Israelis while shaking the hands of those who plan and encourage terror against Jews Israelis.  I wonder if he will condemn the next attack or applaud it.  After all they are only Israelis and Obama's greatest dream is the destruction of Israel.

2012: The End Of An Error

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?

He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.

Now.. Let this sink in really good -

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens.
He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates.
He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired.
He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around.
He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff.
He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients.
He did not threaten the food stamp programs.
He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid.
He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters.
The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!

Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his selfishness and his lies?
His type of change is killing our country. He needs to be stopped and only our votes can stop him.

Do not forget about his tactics when it's election time. Vote Obama out of the Presidency in 2012.

Wednesday's Hero: Sgt. James P. Muldoon

Sgt. James Muldoon was born in Denver, Colorado but settled in Bells, Texas. He died on June 29, 2006 from injuries he suffered during a raid on a safe house in Baqubah, Iraq. For his actions that day, Sgt. Muldoon was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star with Valor.

James Muldoon loved the Broncos. "He played football and track when he was in high school, and he was a big football fan, a big Broncos fan," said his widow. "He’s always liked them since he was little." "He was a joker, constantly, and he was a fun guy, and loved his family." Sgt. Muldoon left behind a wife and daughter, who turned 8 this year, and his parents.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom. For that I am proud to call them Hero.

Why I Don't Support Or Watch The Olympics

It was 4:30 in the morning on Sept. 5, 1972, when five Palestinian terrorists wearing track sweat suits climbed the six-foot six-inch fence surrounding the Olympic Village. Although they were seen by several people, no one thought anything was unusual since athletes routinely hopped the fence; moreover, the terrorists' weapons were hidden in athletic bags. These five were met by three more men who are presumed to have obtained credentials to enter the village. The Palestinians then used stolen keys to enter two apartments being used by the Israeli team at 31 Connollystraße.

Israeli wrestling referee Yossef Gutfreund heard a faint scratching noise at the door of the first apartment. When he investigated, he saw thedoor begin to open andon the other side. He shouted “Hevre tistalku! (Hebrew: "Guys, get out of here!") and threw his nearly 300-lb. (135-kg) weight against the door to try to stop the Palestinians from forcing their way in. In the confusion, coach Tuvia Sokolovsky and race-walker Dr. Shaul Ladany another four athletes, plus the two team doctors and delegation head Shmuel Lalkin, managedto hide.

Wrestling coach Moshe Weinberg, attacked the kidnappers as the hostages were being moved from one apartment to another, allowing one of his wrestlers, Gad Tsobari, to escape. The burly Weinberg knocked one of the intruders unconscious and stabbed another with a fruit knife before being shot to death. Weightlifter and father of three Yossef Romano, 31, also attacked and wounded one of the intruders before being killed. The Arabs then succeededin rounding up nine Israelis to hold as hostages.

At 9:30, the terrorists announced that they were Palestinians and demanded that Israel release 200 Arab prisoners and that the terrorists be given safe passage out of Germany. The Palestinians were led by Luttif Afif (“Issa”), his deputy Yusuf Nazzal (“Tony”), and junior members Afif Ahmed Hamid (“Paolo”), Khalid Jawad (“Salah”), Ahmed Chic Thaa (“Abu Halla”), Mohammed Safady (“Badran”), Adnan Al-Gashey (“Denawi”), and his cousin Jamal Al-Gashey (“Samir”)

After hours of tense negotiations, the Palestinians, who it was later learned belonged to a PLO faction called Black September, agreed to a plan whereby they were to be taken by helicopter to the NATO air base at Firstenfeldbruck where they would be given an airplane to fly them and their hostages to Cairo. The Israelis were then taken by bus to the helicopters and flown to the airfield. In the course of the transfer, the Germansdiscovered that there were eight terrorists instead of the five they expected and realized that they had not assigned enough marksmen to carry out the plan to kill the terrorists at the airport.

After the helicopters landed at the air base around 10:30 p.m., the German sharpshooters attempted to kill the terrorists and a bloody firefight ensued. At 11, the media was mistakenly informed that the hostages had been saved and the news was announced to a relieved Israeli public. Almost an hour later, however, new fighting broke out and one of the helicopters holding the Israelis was blown up by a terrorist grenade. The remaining nine hostages in the second helicopter were shot to death by one of the surviving terrorists.

At 3 a.m., a drawn and teary-eyed Jim McKay, who had been reporting the drama throughout the day as part of ABC's Olympic coverage, announced: “They're all gone.”

The Olympic Games held a memorial and restarted up.  They should have been ended. And I guess they would have been if the victims would not have been Jews Israelis.

That was 40 years ago.

A movement started by Ankie Spitzer, whose husband Andre was one of the athletes massacred in the Munich Games n 1972 to have a Moment of Silence in remembrance of those Murdered in Munich.  Every civilized nation wanted it.  The barbarian Muslim nations said no.  Guess who won out?

An Olympics official admitted that Muslim countries blocked the "One-Minute of Silence" campaign to honor the 11 murdered Israeli athletes, one of the widows said.

Ankie Spitzer, whose husband Andre was one of the athletes massacred in the Munich Games n 1972, told the European Jewish Press that Jacques Rogge, president of the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games, told her that his “hands were tied” by the admission of 46 Arab and Muslim members to the International Olympic Committee.

She replied, “My husband’s hands were tied, not yours.”

The widow has been conducting an uphill battle to convince the International Olympics Committee to remember the slain athletes with one minute of silence before the opening of the Games in London next week. It never has done so since the murders 40 years ago.

Spitzer gained support for her effort from several countries, including the United States, Britain, Australia, Belgium and Germany. A letter appealing for the minute of silence was signed by 140 Italian legislators, to no avail.

Spitzer called the Olympics “a corrupt organization, led by greed rather than the Olympic spirit. She added, “The IOC’s refusal is pure discrimination – greed and anti-Semitism.”

I suppose that if the Muslims wish the Israeli team to be forbidden from playing the IOC will comply to appease the Muslims.

I figure it is better than even odds that there will be another terrorist attack at these Olympic Games.  Another Munich Massacre (G-d Forbid) only this time in London by Native British Muslims.  And more Jews Israelis that will be murdered.  And once again the IOC will resume the games after another tragedy.  Only this time they will forbid any Israelis, any Jews from competing for their safety.

I ask you not to watch the Olympics.  Not to support this anti-Semitic event.  Spend your time, your money in better places.

The conference, which involved a visit to the European Parliament, had to do with freedom of speech in Europe. It gives a great insight into the state of free speech in Europe, the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights of 1990 by the Organization of the Islamic Conference-now the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as another recent conference in Istanbul-attended by none other than Hillary Clinton, in which the OIC is seeking a UN mandate for criminalize any criticism of religion-specifically Islam. I urge the reader to pay close attention to what the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights says. It all has to be in conformance with Sharia.

Add that to the self-imposed censorship of the American media, and what you have is what Ms Poller spoke of, a wealth of information known by those who take the trouble to do the research, but not known to the public at large because our leaders and the media will not educate the public truthfully for fear of being labled Islamophobic. As a result, we now tolerate another phobia-anti-Semitism- silently in the name of our own twisted sense of tolerance.

A Latma Moment

In this sketch, Googleheimer, played by Noam Yacobson – who plays virtually all of Latma's fictional characters – gives a revealing monologue that sums up Googleheimer's world view.

While leftist satires like Channel 2's Eretz Nehederet routinely demonize nationalists on prime time television and even on El Al planes, the left does not seem as good at taking satire as it is at dishing it out, even if it is only a YouTube satire with a relatively limited audience.

Oppenheimer took exception to a previous Latma skit and accused the nationalist camp of "systematically and cunningly… attempting to portray whoever does not think like they do as anti-Israeli, as a traitor, as an enemy within."

"I find myself battling dark forces that try to put things in my mouth that I never said," he complained.

Latma editor-in-chief Caroline Glick said in response: "Oppenheimer is a hypocrite. We are a satirical program with a satirical message and he is a serious person. This is a person who calls an entire sector in Israel 'a cancer in the heart of the nation,' not in a skit, but in a serious article he published. So there is no need to get worked up over what he said."

The Latma team has received awards and had been in advanced negotiations with Israel's goverment-sponsored Channel One television for a permanent slot on TV, but the negotiations failed.

Calling for prayers for a fellow blogger and his wife: Urgent and please read!

This is a call for prayer.

I am posting this on behalf of a fellow blogger whom I have never met.

He goes by the name Cool Change. His wife and best friend has been dealt a most serious blow that could happen to anyone of us. CC's wife was just diagnosed with advanced stage four cancer.

If you would be so kind as to go to his site, Tranquility Lost and leave a note of encouragement for CC and wife. They are going to war and if you are so inclined, please pray for CC's wife, him and all who may be in their family.

Personally, I do not know anyone who has not been touched by cancer.

The power of prayer, no words can describe what prayer can do.

Please take a minute or two and say a prayer for this woman and her family.  Stage 4 cancer is almost always terminal, thus both she and her family are facing the final journey.  With your prayers, this family can face whatever is to come upon them.

Earth-Directed X-Flare And CME

WARNING!!!!!

Big sunspot AR1520 erupted on July 12th around 16:53 UT, producing an X-class solar flare and hurling a CME directly toward Earth.  Forecasters expect the cloud to arrive on July 14th.  Its impact could spark moderate to severe geomagnetic storms, allowing auroras to be seen at lower latitudes than usual.


For one thing, it hurled a coronal mass ejection (CME) directly toward our planet. According to a forecast track prepared by analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab, the CME will hit Earth on July 14th around 10:20 UT (+/- 7 hours) and could spark strong geomagnetic storms. Sky watchers should be alert for auroras this weekend.

The explosion also strobed Earth with a pulse of extreme UV radiation, shown here in an image captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory:

The UV pulse partially ionized Earth's upper atmosphere, disturbing the normal propagation of radio signals around the planet. Monitoring stations in Norway and Ireland recorded the sudden ionospheric disturbance.

Finally, solar protons accelerated by the blast are swarming around Earth. The radiation storm, in progress, ranks "S1" on NOAA space weather scales, which means it poses no serious threat to satellites or astronauts. This could change if the storm continues to intensify.

Sea-Air-Land Team 4 (SEAL-4), Golf Platoon, Naval Special Warfare Task Unit PAPA December 20, 1989



Donald McFaul enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1975 and began working as engine specialist. In 1978 he began his Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL(BUD/S) training and was assigned to SEAL Team One upon graduation did three tours of duty conducting special operations. He left the Navy in 1985 but returned in '88 and was assigned to SEAL Team 4. He was deployed to Panama in December of 1989. On December 20 he was KIA during the capture of Paitilla Airfield in Panama City. For his action that day he was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross. And in 1998 the USS McFaul was commissioned.

The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Navy Cross (Posthumously) to Chief Engineman Donald L. McFaul (NSN: 541641184), United States Navy, for extraordinary heroism while serving as Platoon Chief Petty Officer of Sea-Air-Land Team FOUR (SEAL-4), GOLF Platoon during Operation JUST CAUSE at Paitilla Airfield, Republic of Panama on 20 December 1989. Chief Petty Officer McFaul's platoon was an element of Naval Special Warfare Task Unit PAPA, whose crucial mission was to deny to General Noriega and his associates the use of Paitilla Airfield as an avenue of escape from Panama. After insertion from sea by rubber raiding craft, Golf Platoon was patrolling toward their objective, a hangar housing General Noriega's aircraft, when they were engaged by heavy small arms fire. Realizing that most of the first squad, 25 meters north of his position, had been wounded, he left the relative safety of his own position in order to assist the wounded lying helplessly exposed. Under heavy enemy fire and with total disregard for his personal safety, Chief Petty Officer McFaul moved forward into the kill zone and began carrying a seriously wounded platoon member to safety. As he was nearing the safety of his own force's perimeter, he was mortally wounded by enemy fire. Chief Petty Officer McFaul's heroic actions and courage under fire saved his teammate's life and were an inspiration for other acts of heroism as the assault force prevailed in this decisive battle. By his extraordinary bravery, personal sacrifice, and inspiring devotion to duty, Chief Petty Officer McFaul reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom. For that I am proud to call them Hero.
